This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here!

Good morning friends!
Sending out warm and snuggly Saturday vibes to all. Mark got home from his friends last night and together we decided to try to push through the weekend and call the HVAC people on Monday. I just don't see the point in paying the extra service charge when it will be Monday before they can get parts or whatever anyway. So far we're holding at 55 inside the house, so not terrible.
We just got back from the grocery shop, we decided to go ahead and take care of that this morning. It's super foggy here (again) and looks to be that way all day. It rained pretty heavily early this morning, so the trails will be really wet and muddy so no hiking today. I don't mind the mud so much, but on those steep inclines and declines, it's going to be super slippery, so no since risking injuries.
I just saw on FB that Jana is out of power. I hope that resolves quickly. While I don't have heat, everything else is working fine. So I'm considering myself fortunate.
Anyway, that's about it from here. I'm snuggled in with my fuzzy blanket and heating pad. Mark is in his office working and hogging the infra red heater. Whatever dude.

Hi Everyone,
I didnt get here last night after dinner with my sister. I had some things to take care of.
This morning I took Cassie to the vet for her annual exam. Doing good- just need to lose a little weight as we all mostly do. I know I tend to give her more when I am home.
Came home, had a quick lunch and went back out for a few before they said the snow and/or sleet starts. I went over back to Walmart to look for sheet protectors for the binder. I thought I had another package but I cant find them. I have some others but they are very poor quality but for now I guess I can use until I find replacements. I had originally bought them at Walmart.
I guess I could look at an office store but they might cost more. I think there is a store called Staples on my way to work. I don't know if that is in other states as well..
I have been wanting a new blanket for my bed. Whoever bought the I have now even though well meaning didnt think about me having a cat though. I should have thrown out ages ago. I had another blanket that I never used and before using it I asked my sister if she could put it in her washing machine. Well, the whole blanket just fell apart in her washer. I found a dark blue fleece blanket that hopefully be nice and toasty. I have two others but I like to cuddle up with them on my sofa. And of course Cassie does too.
Lora, sorry about your heater not working.. Susie, hope you are having fun with shopping, cuddling near the fire, etc.
I mentioned to my sister that I meant to bring back the book that I finished last week - Crime Brulee and she said she had a bunch of books that a friend had given to her by the same author so I took two more to read.
I was sending out my zoom invitations this morning for my virtual and for the parent teacher conferences and our director told us that she wants us to include her so when I sent it a note came almost immediately saying that she was going to be away and not have access to little or no internet access. Yeah!! I don't dislike her but I dont like this culture of threatening either. I havent said anything as of yet. With all the covid going on there is a lot of teachers leaving due to family situations so may not be do difficult in that way but they aren't probably going to have all the benefits probably that I have now. Being that I don't have all that many years to retire I need that money to save up and retire. And you know the expression the grass is greener on the other side . You never know if the next supervisor will be worse. Have a good afternoon! Bbl.

I read through the last week, and am stopping in again. I started off with very bad stomach pains during the night on Sunday, then a bad issue Monday. I called my doctor who just did the endoscopy, and she said it is possible I have a gall bladder issue, so I am having an ultrasound on Thursday. I know it's not a blockage because I just had all kinds of blood work and my liver functions were all normal. I have been having these stomach pains for a while. Then just the normal, snowy, annoyingly stressful week. Every few years we get a winter that is snowier than others, and I guess this winter is it.
Jana, I also read about your power outage. We get that sometimes too, but the last time I complained they did realize that the power in my little grid has gone out an unusual number of times, so they must have fixed it after our last big power outage over the summer. As far as those normal after 50 tests, the mammogram is not pleasant, but also not terrible. I also started going to someone about 10 years ago that reads the results right away while you are there, so no waiting for follow up. As far as the colonoscopy goes, I waited too long to get my first, I have a family history, and it was not nearly as bad as expected. You can knocked out, so you have no idea what is going on. And, you realize how delicious pineapple jello is.
Lora, 55 is pretty cold, so hope you can keep yourself bundled and it won't get any worse. sorry you missed out on more of those T-bones. Maybe they will have them again soon. I think after this last year of having restaurant business more limited they have finally figured out how to get things to the supermarket quantities, and things are getting cheaper and more plentiful.
Susie, did I miss you telling us about the wedding gown shopping? I did not hear any follow up about that. I hope she found something. Sounds like you are having a picture perfect few days in NH. This snow is certainly nice to have up there. Glad you got your first vaccine. The Walgreens around here started giving them, so DH grabbed himself an appointment for tomorrow morning. He has to drive to Queens for it, but that's not that terrible.
Janet, how can your director make you have conferences then go away? Unless I am not following something right.
Robin, nice that you had a good work from home day. Do you still have snow around where you are too? It is definitely melting some, but not leaving any time soon I don't think. And the piles in the parking lots are pretty big.

Lora, I hope you stay warm, sounds like the heating pad is a good idea. I agree with waiting until Monday.. it might not be any faster with the weekend call. Is Monday considered a holiday there this weekend? Janet, we have Staples down here too. It's kind of like Office Depot. I am glad Cassie had a good check up! Robin S. I hope your stomach issue gets solved. ((((hugs))) Jana, hope the electricity is back on! Robin MD, are you staying put? How's the roads? Susie, did you find the dress? No date today with DH... I went for coffee with a friend this morning, but later this morning I started having pains kind of like my diverticulitis pains I had a few years ago. A piece burst, so I had surgery for the clean up. I think it was about 3 years ago. Anyway, it feels a bit like that, so I am on chicken broth for a day or so. After the surgery, this happened a couple of times, but it's been awhile now. Waving hi!

Hello all,
I kept trying to get here during the week, and got side-tracked every time. I am off this weekend, and the weather is so crappy, I don't have any plans. I ran to the store pretty early this morning, and got anything I needed for the week. I was able to finally pull the dryer out and replace the vent hose...my laundry is in a closet, so the fit is tight. I have figured out how to get behind there by using a step stool and dropping myself down there. The funny part is when I am done, I have to pull the dryer as close as possible to the wall, then to get out I have to hike one leg up and over the washer in a split and pull myself out that way. Then I push the dryer the last bit closer to the wall, just so the closet door closes. It is quite a production. I have a lot of laundry to catch up on, and got a few loads done this afternoon. My nephew got a job in New Hampshire working on a farm that uses draft horses and oxen. He runs his farm here with draft horses only, but has been looking to leave because in the county where the farm is, there is an industry moving in that will pollute the ground water that eventually runs to the farm, so they will have to give that up in the future. Well, my brother and his wife are going to sell the farm and move to New Hampshire to be close to them...they can't stand to be too far away from their grandson (he's 9 months old now). They want me to move up there, too, but I don't see that happening anytime in the near future.
Lora, sorry about the heater issues. Hopefully you won't have cold enough weather to worry about your plumbing or anything. Too bad you don't have the little gas fireplace up and running! Oh well, it won't be too long.
Susie, glad you are having such a nice getaway!
RobinS, I do have a lot of snow still on the ground. It hasn't melted much, and I got about 4 or 5 more inches the other night. The temps are so cold, nothing is going away.
Jill, hope those stomach issues settle down!
Janet, I hope you found a new blanket. I might be busting out one that is electric, to warm my covers up before I get in them! I forgot I had it.
Well, time to stoke the fire and go clean up the kitchen. I will be back tomorrow. I will probably get to bed early since I haven't been sleeping great lately. I'm going to sleep in a little, if possible. I hope everyone is having a nice weekend,
RobinMD

I ordered the sheet protectors on Walmart and will pick them up at the same store that I was at this afternoon. I didnt see any there and was about to go to Target which I still think would have been okay to go to after all. Didnt do a whole lot today but tommorow will have to really work on my binder. I brought home the small printer, camera and binder which I realized I almost didnt take. I had so much to take home since I had brought my laptop in as well.
