I attended a virtual Weight Watcher's meeting, tracked, weighed and measured, made sure I had the right food in the house, kept up with my online support groups, and got six out of seven blue dots on the Weight Watcher app when tracking my food and drink. I am grateful my husband and I are still healthy.

Credits: * Journaled and got blue dots on WW app everyday last week. * Did get a couple days exercise even though not feeling well with impacted wax in one ear, going to ENT doctor. * Joined several WW virtual workshops, always enjoy the stories people share. * Drank 5 cups water most days. * Read and posted online. * Working on getting more sleep. * Working on not sitting so much.
Gratitude: * Grateful for my children, neighbors and friends for all the help they give me. * That I can spend one day a week with my daughter, all the work she does for me and visits we have while sharing lunch. * That I haven't had to pour hot water on front door threshold the last couple days. I could get my front door open to get my mail, wasn't frozen!🥶

cathygeha, What did you think of Oprah's online meeting?

I wrote to my sister afterward and am taking some of what I wrote and pasting below:
I did sit through it all(2 hours). They started with coaches who all look thin and young and rah-rah types and I heard they are hiring based on qualifications but that the person who is hired does not have to have ever been a WW member.
After that Oprah eventually showed up and she talked to: * Jennifer Garner (nice woman) * Dr. Shifali who has written books. Her main thing was that we should live in the present and not do vision boards of what we want in the future but instead focus on the now * She had us all take the quiz about ourselves about how we treat/love ourselves (in the handout/attachment) and discussed it a bit * She called on a a few people attending (most were dressed up and wearing makeup!) * Next up was someone called Ciara (Ciara Princess Wilson) who sang at the Super Bowl (I think) and she talked about gratitude and was asked what the prayer was that brought her now husband into her life. She seems VERY religious and did not give the specific prayer. I guess she is on WW and trying to lose 48 more or total pounds after having her third child? * After that it was James Corden and that was truly interesting. He was rather emotional at times but seems committed to the journey and like a genuinely nice man. He started WW on January 2 at 236 and has lost 16 pounds already. (I wish I could say the same!). He seems to love his wife and children and be a person committed to happiness and providing happiness to others. His goal, he said, was to be at least one day under 200 pounds. He said he weighed maybe 280(?) when he met his wife. He also said that his mother, father, and sisters are all Doing WW now and they have zoom meetings every three weeks to weigh-in with one another.
There was a workbook that I sent to my sister (she is paying every month and following the app daily).
There was also talk of connect, apps, scanning device for products,
AND
Talk about how it is much better to do this program with a friend. And the support that is there for you if you open up and don't carry the load all by yourself.
James Corden said that he felt lighter and has had hundreds of supportive tweets, emails, etc from people about his choice to do WW and get healthier. He also mentioned a chickpea pizza crust and how he and his wife have it instead of bread when their children have the real thing. I was thinking I might need to look that recipe up BUT would chickpea pizza crust BE okay or because it has been made into something else (like smoothies or whirred fruit instead of eating it whole) still be okay on the plan? Hmm...
ADDITIONALLY:
I would say that I enjoyed this year better than the last webinar that Oprah presented. The topic was focused and those that were guests were on theme. They would periodically show a screen of attendees with I don't know how many tiny frames on the screen together waving and snapping and holding up signs with a few single page zoom-ins on random folks. They also interviewed a few attendees but am sure they contacted them before hand so they could prepare and dress up if they wanted to.
I still haven't figured out what a gal-entine is so just looked it up: Galentine's Day is celebrated on Feb. 13, the day before Valentine's Day. It's a day to leave husbands, boyfriends and significant others at home and to gather with other women to celebrate female friendships — usually over a boozy brunch.

cathygehaThanks for the information on Oprah video. I had a ticket but deleted it on computer so didn't get to attend. Does anyone know if you can still view it somewhere?
