This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here!

Good morning and Happy Valentine's Day.
V.D. is not something that we've ever put much effort or tradition into it, so really just another day here. In our old lives it was just an excuse to gorge on giant heart shaped Reese's. Lol. Thankfully that "tradition" has not been in play for over 4 years now.
We played around with the HVAC, thermostat and fuses yesterday afternoon and got the heater back up and running great! Yay! I'd walked out to the mailbox and saw our neighbor that's diagonally across messing with his HVAC. He waved and asked if by chance our HVAC had wigged out, he said his had acted weird Friday afternoon and plopped off. I said that ours had as well, he said to try resetting the thermostat and the flipping the fuses in the fuse box a few times. He said his brother, further down the road had the same thing. At the end of the road there are 2 new houses being built, and I did see the power company trucks driving past Friday. Anyway, he thinks whatever they were doing down there might have caused a power surge or interruption of some sort and it caused the fuses to flip. IDK, but whatever - it's working now and we slept without the extra quilts last night. Haha.
Now we just have to hope that our power stays on. Overnight we went from not even being included in the Winter Storm Watch to being part of the Winter Storm Warning. Looks like we're in the range for a little bit of snow, but more likely freezing rain and ice. Ice is the WORST.
I wonder if Jana has power back on yet? I hope so. I have several friend throughout VA that are out of power.
Anyway, that's about it for now. Sorry for the "all about me" post. Waving to everyone! BBL

Good morning,
Lora, don't you LOVE it when you end up fixing something, and not needing an expensive repair? I hope you don't get a lot of ice. I agree, it is much worse than just snow. We didn't end up getting much of anything yesterday, so I never needed to set up water buckets just in case of power loss. I hope you didn't need to go anywhere today!
I don't have plans to go anywhere...I might go on and do my taxes. And I definitely have more laundry to catch up on. I feel like cooking SOMEthing, but I am not sure what it will be. I'm leaning toward Spinach Lasagna. I enjoy the leftovers, so it makes a good dish to have for the week. I hope everyone is having a nice Sunday...waving to all to follow,
RobinMD

Robin - So glad your weather impact was not as bad as expected. Are you scheduled to get hit with the storm that's bearing down on us? And no, I just asked Mark if he could think of anything that we needed, because right now would be the time to do that. The retail establishments will only get worse from her on. Thankfully, he agreed that we're about as prepared as we can be at this point. And yes, you know how I love to solve that kind of problem myself. Haha! Oh...and I don't think I mentioned it, but the neighbor I was talking to is actually our HVAC guy. Haha! I'm guessing that not only did I not want to pay a weekend call, but he didn't want to make one in this cold, wet mess. Mark did our taxes on the first. He got messages back that the Fed was just accepted and to expect the electronic refund in a couple more weeks. State doesn't even start processing theirs until March 1st, so it will be a bit longer on that one. We're pretty dialed in on our withholding amount, so it's not a lot that we're getting back, but every little bit helps.

Lora, HVAC repair averted! Yes!!! That's a true gift! I hear you with the candy bit... no candy bit this year, and I am happy about that! RobinMD, oh yes, the lasagna sounds wonderful! I hope you have a nice cozy day, indoors. So, I am back from the Dr., and it's diverticulitis... but luckily it was caught early enough so it didn't burst this time. I am just going to go on the bland diet and antibiotics. Phew! But, no gym for at least a week and the bland diet for that long too. Actually the bland diet will feel like a field day for me with the crackers and bananas and such. But I will have to be careful with it; I can't go crazy. I hope you all have a good day! Waving hi!❤️

Hello Everyone ! There was plenty of snow and it was COLD in MA and NH, but at least not the ice, snow, sleet, rain mess that VA got . DH was without power also all night but it was back in the morning - thank goodness.
My DDs and I went wedding dress shopping on Thursday and she said, “YES to the dress” - ha ! She found one that she loves and in which she looks beautiful! Then we headed for the lake house/cabin in NH ( Ossippe). On Friday we took a walk to the lake ( will post a pic on the ROs FB page). On Saturday, both DDs and the 3 DGDs had fun skiing... meanwhile YDDs puppy and I had a good time snuggling on the sofa. Then we got up at 2:45 AM and were on the road by 3:30 AM. ODD heard of a possibility of snow in NH and did NOT want to drive in that! The trip back was much better since it was the middle of the night and the DGDs slept for the first 5 hours!

Jill, sounds like you with the diverticulitis is kind of like me with my thing. I know my friends, yes both husband and wife, have diverticulitus. I think you are not supposed to eat nuts or seeds with that, so always a challenge when we are coming up with recipes. They are part of a group where we make elaborate dinner parties, and you would be surprised how many recipes include those.
RobinMD, I thought your weather wasn't all that much different from ours. We had one snow storm last Sunday night that added about 6 inches, but then towards the end of the week only another 2, so not quite enough to be annoying. I would bet that you could easily find a job up in NH, but I am not the type to move so quickly, and your DD's are still near you, so why would you?
Susie, so glad that DD found a dress! I of course had to look where Ossippe is, and I see it is not far from Lake Winnepesaukee. We were there a number of years ago for a wedding and just loved it. We keep thinking about going back.
Lora, glad you got that HVAC working. Always good when you can solve those kind of problems yourself. We have a contract on our oil burner, and our AC systems, so it makes it easier just decide to call someone.
Happy Valentine's Day to everyone. We are getting takeout from one of our favorite restaurants. They always have the same specials that we love, so not sure why they call them specials and just don't put them on the menu. Then we will watch the last episode of Bridgerton.

Hi Everyone,
I just got back from food shopping. Except for a little few things I picked up on Tues or Wednesday afternoon I was thinking I had really gone a bit over my usual cost but then remembered that it looked super crowded in all the stores last weekend so I don't think I went into any of them to shop. I just ended up going over to this small shop and really hadnt got much there either.
This morning I realized after I set the digital printer up and trying to print that the cartridge that was in there to print was all out. There really isn't that much on each cartridge either and I hadnt thought of asking our director for some more. I was also having some problems seeing the pictures on the printer screen though anyway but the one I did manage to prunt out came out so light that it dawned me about checking the ink. I can still see the pictures on the camera though so I went through and made a list of the pics I want to print out. I need to work on some more of the descriptions tonite. I haven't gotten the notice to pick up the sheet protectors. They said it won't be until tonight but I will just wait until tommorow so I can do some work on it.
Jill, glad you caught the diverticulitis before it got to the point that you would need surgery. Lora, glad that you got your heat up and running again..One time I came home from work and all the power was out in my apartment but not in the hallway. So I called the maintenance office and asked what was going on. I asked if anyone has moved out of an apartment in my building. The first guy who came over was asking me had I paid the utility bill. I said yes and I had always paid. So he checked with the main person and it turned out that some had moved out and they turned the wrong one off. So had it on within a bit of that call. I am glad that it wasn't the gas company though because they would have taken a lot longer.
Susie, glad you enjoyed the time with your daughter's, grandkids, and the puppy( Was this the new puppy ?) And a dress was found for the wedding.
I have off tommorow but probably will try to work as much as I can on the binder. I didnt do any work yesterday except scheduling the meetings on zoom and sending the invitations. In the beginning of the year that took me a good amount of time to do and I made lots of mistakes but now I can them better and even paste into some one's phone message. Ok, bbl maybe after doing some work.

Lora REALLY glad your heat is working... looks like the nation is COLD right now! Susie, so glad you are home safe. I was wondering how the travelling would go with all those storms out there now.Glad DH was okay with the heat/power. YES, to the dress! So glad she found the one. RobinS, I've heard that about seeds and nuts too. But on the other side, some of my doctors say that there's no restrictions to that. Me? I am not sure what caused this round, but I do eat a lot of beans, and there's that "cover" on the beans that I wonder about. Anyway, no beans for the next few weeks for me. Enjoy your take out and finale of Bridgerton. Janet, sounds like you are still getting stuff done, even if it's the weekend. Sometimes I just don't feel like going in the big busy stores... so the small ones work well for me. I hope you get your page protectors and that it isn't any trouble. I had a big nap today, which was nice. I just had my chicken noodle soup, which was amazing! It was the old red/white Campbell soup, but gosh, it's been years since I've had it. I also enjoyed some applesauce which is making me feel like a kid today. So, my eating window is closed now for the day. I figure that I'll still be able to IF, which will help with all these food changes right now. IF is a non-negotiable for me right now. It's funny, I remember last summer when I was starting IF, and it took me like a month to decide if it's really going to be a true part of my life. Now, it's there to stay. I am kind of nervous about stopping the gym for a while, though. I hope everyone is staying warm!!

Lora - hurrah that the heater is working- I don't think I would make it at 55 degrees...
RobinMD - spinach lasagna - yum
Jill - wow ...glad you caught the diverticulitis early. We always had Campbell's chicken noodle soup as kids and I always fixed it for my kids when they were "under the weather."
RobinS - yes, lots of lakes all around that area...and there was just snow on the ground...not all the ice, etc we had here is VA
Janet - yes, this was the new puppy. DD said when her fiance's family is all there this summer, there will be 6 dogs - wow. Since you have tomorrow off, you can relax and get some more school work done at your leisure - hopefully.
Hope everyone has a good evening. It is good to be home.

Well,I think that I got a good amount done on the descriptions and correcting some of the numbers which has really confused me since they weren't the same. So put a bunch of those sticky notes on top of the sheet protectors.
I am going to assign my partner to take some pictures of some materials in our class which is still a mess. I took some last week but not sure why I couldnt find them. Maybe I didnt have the sim card in it but I think I did.
But especially if our director is out she can maybe do it during one or two of our virtual classes even tho she is supposed to be in it. She hasnt helped me at all with the binder and I need help.
I didnt get the notice to get the sheet protectors but if I don't get it by tommorow I'll call. It said after 8 pm tonite and I wasnt going to go there that late anyway. I also told my partner that our curriculum specialist was going to observe her this time. I am not going to tell her which day too far ahead. I dont want her making some excuse and saying she is sick which is a definite possibility with her. I am really debating not telling her at all but I wont do that but may tell her that morning. I know if I tell her ahead she will probably call out even tho she has no time to take. I have been observed three times by our specialist and the week before we were both listened to during our lesson by another person which I primarily did anyway. Have a good night!
