good afternoon, our snowblower is over 15 years old and we have always used regular gas.Don does his own maintaining of it.he drains out the gas at the end of The season ,think it goes into the lawn mower then. we don't have to worry about the kind of gas..
Now our Neighbor Skippy has a newer one and has to use gas with no
alcohol in it therefore uses ethanol in his.another case of they can't leave a good thing alone can they? S.B were working fine with regular gas ,why try to fix it if it ain't broken.
we did go to WALMART.looking for a magazine that is suppose to have a feature article in in about The pine needles quilt shop in ROCHESTER MN.I have been to that one.it will probably have the old store in it. they are moving two doors down and have remolded that building..the magazine was suppose to be out on the 17th,.
then in the spring the RED ROXY in DECROHA,IA will be featured. I go there once a year or every two years. I AM thinking they both will be in the better homes and garden one.the one that show shops from different states.
ok I AM IN ON THE CHALLENGE. Now if I go to the free give away, does that count as buying? phyl

Phyl - There is a Quilt Sampler magazine that comes out twice a year (Spring and Fall) that features different quilt shops, so maybe that shop will be in the Spring issue. As long as you don't buy any craft supplies/item on February 30th and 31st, you'll be O.K. I finished sandwiching the next two quilts, so they are ready to machine quilt and I hope to have them done by tomorrow. I'm going to stop over to the Slow Sunday Stitching blog and check out what people are working on. Hope you are all enjoying your afternoon and evening

I used to think I wanted to do crewel embroidery as well as all the other kinds but now all my time is taken up with crochet and when it gets warmer or I can make a fire to warm my sewing area I want to try those potholders and other small quilt things.
CJ, I love all those quilts and that's quite a feat to get 4 done in one day... I know you mean the actual quilting but it still takes time and a lot of thought. I like the top one best.
Phyl, I hope you can find the magazine you're looking for. And no, I wouldn't be going out right now to get a bolt of fabric either but it it was normal times, I'd be there.
Ginny, congrats on your good work on that quilt. I forget what else I wanted to say.
I don't know if I mentioned that I set that pocket shawl aside for right now and am working on a baby blanket for dgd's baby. It's c2c using a 4.0mm aka G, hook and Yarn Bee yarn sweet Delights in a color called Puppy. They must have discontinued this colorway because they no longer have it listed. They do have one called Puppy Kisses which is even nicer than Puppy. They also have kitty but no puppy. I do have a lot of this though so it's not an issue. Anyway I'm a little over 1/4 of the way done. People on the crochet groups are always talking about how fast c2c is and I guess fast is relative. It is faster than a lot of other stitches but not really what I would call fast. I think, too, that I've slowed down in my old age.
Can't believe that tomorrow is Monday yet again.

Wow, CJ you are really blowing through those quilt tops! You must have quite a collection of quilts that you’ve made in the past that are waiting for you to quilt. Unfortunately after quilting you have to bind them. Put that so I guess that is a saga for another day. I totally agree with you that as long as we don’t buy any craft supplies on February 30 and 31st we’re good. So that gives Phyl free reign to go pick up some of that free fabric. I hope she find something pretty that she can use.
Phil, I’m going by what I was told by the place sold me the snowblower. And that’s all they sell is snow blowers and lawnmowers. They told me to get high test gas which I’ve done. And they also told me to make sure that no gas sits in the snowblower over the summer. Now I just have to figure out why the dumb thing won’t start, and my theory is if there’s a plug in the fuel line. It does seem so these pieces of equipment has become more and more fussy over the years, I don’t remember my dad going through all of this with the snowblower that he used to have.
I do now have all of my squares assembled into blocks. Now I have to start thinking about layout. This quote is going quickly. Hard to believe that Monday is right around the corner. I have a good night.
Ginny
Hey CJ- wait!!! If we cannot purchase craft supplies on February 30 and 31, can we make up for it by buying more craft supplies before then?

Ruth, we crossed in posting.....puppy and puppy kisses are both so pretty!!! I do love the baby bee line of yarn, that is what I used for DGD#2 afghan. You are making good progress on that afghan- even if you do not think its going that quickly. You have not been working on it all that long. Are you hoping to have it done before the baby shower?
Guess I will go iron those last few blocks and start working on layout. Ginny
