This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.

Susie, there's no place like home. Janet, I hope you get those page protectors today. I also hope you get help from your partner; it's a shame you have to think about ways to talk to her to get her to do her part.  I am so glad today is a holiday from school. I am sleeping a lot, and I need another day of it - I think. I sure hope everyone is staying warm! Jana, hope all is well with the power. Waving hi to everyone! |

Good morning friends. I woke up to pouring rain and 33 degrees. So we're hovering right on the brink of freezing rain. Our greatest chance of freezing rain/ice was supposed to be this morning and then tonight into tomorrow morning. I'm hoping this just passes us by, but the storm system is enormous, so it was be kind of a miracle is we didn't end up with something. Jill - thanks for starting us this morning. Lora, I think freezing rain is the worst... I pray for all travelers today. It SURE IS a big storm! Yikes!

Hi Everryone,
I never actually got another notice from Walmart saying it was ready. I tracked it on their website and first it said something about trouble accessing it. Then I saw someplace that it said it was ready for pickup but then couldn't find the same note again. You know who doesn't plan to order anything else from them?
I have a few times and never had any problems. If the weather hadn't been so yucky on Saturday I was going to go over to Target to check. I even tried to call the store and no one picks up when you ring that department and then you get transferred over to the service department and no one picks up there. So I guess that I will just have to go over there anyway and hope their message about it being ready is correct. Otherwise, I may cancel the order if I find another similar item at Target.
I need to get rid of clutter as it is bugging me or at least organize what I do still need such as putting the info on my phone notes so I can throw out the paper lying around.
Other than trying to do a bit more work in my binder I bought more ingredients to make pepper steak again. I liked how it turned out. I had been thinking of trying to make this bourbon chicken recipe that I saw but it needed more ingredients that I didnt have so would have had to buy more of so I will wait for another time maybe. I think I had bought sesame oil in the past but I don't know if I still have or if I ever even used it or if it's even still good..lol. I need to look. A while ago I tossed a bunch of things out that cabinet that were old and expired by a lot.
Then I want to start reading the new book by the author of the Crime Brulee story. Tommorow there might be more delays because later tonight more ice is on the way. I feel bad for Jana with her power out. I am glad at least they have a fire place that gives them some heat to be near.

Hello everyone,
Well, I went to bed earlier than I thought I would. I hadn't slept well for a couple of nights, so I guess I needed to catch up. Today I finished up my taxes. I don't get much back, but like Lora said, every little bit helps and at least it is done and I don't owe anything. No plans for today, although I am STILL catching up on laundry that got set aside while the dryer was out of commission. I have already started a fire today, because it just felt so cold and chilly in here today. We are expecting some freezing rain later, I think. Next week looks like we will be in the 50's during the day. One more snow storm will pass through this week first, though.
Lora, I think we are getting what you got. I would rather just get snow.
Susie, glad you had a safe trip up and back. What a nice change of scenery for you!
Jana, I hope you get electric back soon.
Jill, enjoy the holiday off!
Janet, I need to continue to declutter. I have gotten to the point where I am just throwing things out instead of moving them from place to place. I have a lot of things I could put in a yard sale, but this is not the time of year for that.
Well, I do have an online class I need to get done, so I am going to do that, and finish up the load of towels that is going right now. I hope everyone is having a great start to the week.

I have no intentions of ordering online from Walmart again. If I go there I will just pay in cash. I went over there to pick up my order. Well, since I havent ordered for some time and the last time I had it was delivered to my friend so I didnt know that they had some shipping tower that was at the front of the store. I was trying to do it and it wasnt recognizing my number so I requested help and no one came so I went over to the customer service to ask. The lady said that the shipping tower wasnt even in service and that there had been a sign in front of it but it was moved apparently. Then she calls someone over who was trying to explain that since I hadnt received an email that it wasnt ready. So I had actually found the same thing when I first went to the back looking for where to pick up but I was really kind of ticked off by then and then even more when I was looking at my bank account and see they overcharged me and not only there but at some other store I hadnt even been to.. so even tho I could have gone back and purchased the other covers I went over to Target to look. Found a package of 50 that was almost half price of the ones that I had ordered. I had been trying to chat with someone from Walmart but not real good at texting with out mistakes. Someone called me from Walmart. At first I thought I had dialed them. I explained the situation and cancelled the order but need to call my bank about the other charges. I know I had been at Walmart this week and last and sometimes the charges can be delayed but these charges dont match up with my receipts and it said they were made over this weekend. I will have to look again at my receipts to be sure. So I bought them at Target . What a waste of time!!

Oh and just when I got to Target I get the message its ready and I look at the order number I was given and the number that they sent and it was different. That is why it was probably not tracking it right. No more online ordering there.

It's been a cold rain all day and it's still pouring down and the temperature is falling quickly. In the next hour or so we'll dip below freezing and it's supposed to change over to snow. We're looking to get down into the low teens tonight and the mid 20s. our high tomorrow looks to only be in the mid-20s. We're definitely going to ice up, I think. The western part of the state already has and it's slowly but surely pushing my way. Plus with us being at a little bit higher altitude, it keeps it colder as well. Can't say how happy I am that the heater is back in business. Lol. Now all we can do is hope that the power stays on. The west side of the state is already seeing power outages from downed trees. Fingers crossed we can hold on until the temps come back up in a couple of days and all of this melts off.
I made a creamy parmesan chicken soup for supper tonight. Something how and cozy seemed just the ticket. I also cooked up some bacon to garnish it with. I'm looking forward to that meal here in a little while.
Waving to everyone. Sorry for no personals. I need to scoot. I just heard the dryer finish, so I need to get those clothes hung up befofre they wrinkle.

Made I think some headway on the binder this afternoon in at least writing more descriptions and putting little stickies for where certain things will go. I still wish I had remembered to ask for more cartridges. Since she is saying that she will be out and I hope that she really be out like she says that I can get some things done on it and that hopefully my partner will do the things I ask her to do as most of them are quite simple to do if we have the camera and the ink. Then she has to place the pictures in the appropriate place and hopefully more creatively than me as that is not my strong area.
Thinking of various examples is not easy at all. I think if I have to do this again and my retirement is coming up you know what I will be choosing. The people who want us to do this dont realize the work that goes into it.
My pepper steak diner is ready. It didnt seem to take as long as last time. I think it's because I had the celery which I didnt think about plus I just hadnt made it in a long time so I guess I spent more time looking at the recipe longer.
Lora, I hope you keep your power on tonight. Has anyone heard how Jana's is?
