Happy Monday, 18 years ago today we boarded a plane leaving the only place we knew in San Francisco and moved to North Carolina. In the 30's today and I really was hoping just to go straight home after work but we are low in many essentials so I need to stop at the store. It was cold and rainy this weekend so I just didn't have it in me to leave the house. Tomorrow it will be in the 60's but I really feel like we need the groceries today.
Monday possibilities Laundry Grocery shopping Dr. appt. Water plants Sign up for retirement/Medicare webinar (DH is turning 65 this year) Devotion Track all food Pack breakfast and lunch Evening routine

Cathy - Happy Anniversary of that big move! I have never lived anywhere else but the County I'm currently in...so I appreciate what a big leap that must have been. I had always planned to "go away" to college, but the local University offered me a full scholarship, so I really couldn't turn that down. I got my first job offer here, as well, and on and on. So here I still am, LOL. Do you miss SF?
Oops, missed posting Monday again. I did my usual Silver Sneakers classes online, visited Old House trying to beat the Big Snowstorm that arrived yesterday evening, to leave some food and money for my lawn guy to clear the driveway today. It turns out the 12 inches of snow they thought we'd get was only 5 (NOT complaining!), so hopefully the job was done and life will go on. My Sweetie was doing a lot of paper decluttering the last couple of days, so I joined in to tackle some paper messes and also deleted a bunch of old email....I can see my inbox has clogged up again, so I need to put it on my list again for awhile until I tame it a bit.

Carol: I'm here, I'm here. So sorry I have been MIA. Where did this week go? I have been having problems with nightmares so I am lacking lots of sleep. I have a difficult discharge at work and that has triggered the nightmares (they usually have something to do with work) plus my office is near a aggressive pt. so my officemate and I have to always watching our backs. Ugh. Just one of the things you deal with when you decide to work in this business. But there are many perks to the job when you get to discharge a person and see how well they're doing. Your Mardi Gras meal sounded wonderful. I wanted to do something but didn't get myself together. However, I am home today so I plan on working on several pasta dishes since my pasta class ends tomorrow. I just need to stay on schedule and so far I have spent too much time on the phone and online. Thursday possibilities Make hand shaped pasta (cavatelli) Make Ragu Bolognese Make ravioli and the filling Keep cleaning kitchen as I cook (the hardest part) Go to post office (or send DH or DS) Devotion Fold laundry Make breakfast and lunch for tomorrow (hopefully no ice on road) Evening routine

Wow! What a pasta cooking day I had. I did try and clean as I went along and was successful until the last hour when I had so many boiling pots of water, sauce and skillets going that I ended up with lots of pots and pans left. Good thing it's my son's job to do the dishes. Pasta came out great. There are a couple of things I want to try a little different but DH loved the ravioli and mushroom filling. The ragu was great and the hand shaped pasta came out good but I want to try it without the extra whole wheat flour. I think it is time to replace my 41 year old food processor. Back at work today and honestly I think this is going to be easier to do than all that pasta making. Friday possibilities Mainly work related items Zoom meeting with pasta class (it's our last day so we have a Q and A with the teacher) Listen to presentation for tomorrow's meeting Make appt for tune up Call physical therapist for DH Rest, Rest, Rest, Devotion Evening routine.
