Sending warm weather and hugs your way, Becky. Stay safe.
MJ forgot to mention that's a nice photo of you and Toots.
Right now our temperature is holding at 37 above freezing and works for me!

Good morning ladies. I'm reading everything but don't have time to reply at the moment. Audrey - I don't know how you do it on a phone. The few times I have, it was way too much. Sometime I just can't keep up with some of the posts and go back to reread when I can. Extra prayers to get through this Becky. I'll be back later.

It is up to 19 degrees but still 46 inside. We have been without power for over 3 hours so far and most of the night.
Thanks for the prayers everyone. They do help. We will get through this because we can’t do anything about it. I just hope H‑E‑B has food this afternoon or we will be completely out of food. I doubt delivery trucks could make it in all of this.

Becky praying that HEB doesn't run out of food.
Susi on the same page with personals...especially when on my phone.
It's slick in places so I shall stay put today.

Here I am on the phone. Leo is doing vocabulary so I have my notebook out to help him with spelling and take notes. MJ, sounds like a great mammogram. They don’t let you go if they see something. Once I waited because someone ahead of me was rushed to surgery. It’s an act of kindness for your neighbor to bring lemon squares. Enjoy and freeze. Becky, hopefully you and Kenneth will find acceptable groceries if not necessarily what’s on your list. June, it took me 38 years to go through a box of items belonging to my parents. My mom’s friends helped her go through my dad’s things. I did hers and it was hard but the best choice to sell all of her furniture except two pieces I kept and had room for Cathy, green pea seed is sold by catalogue not usually found in a grocery store. It’s impossible to argue with a husband who takes charge of the planting. I use extra soap on my masks with lipstick marks. LaDonna, you reminded me to ask Becky how the cats are doing with the cold . Indiana hides under things or in the liquor cabinet.

Audrey we enjoyed a lemon square each and the rest I had to freeze. It was excellent and such a treat. She loves homemade baked beans, so Carl dropped off a container for her.
Rachel used to find a sunny spot and lie there. She loved her window perches to look out.
Cats are so mysterious.
Just enjoying another cup of coffee.
I did see an elderly gal walking over the slush and ice with a walker. Sheesh.

LaDonna The weather can send us searching from "something." Often it sends me to the trigger foods. Today will be better. So sweet ofyou to offer your home. I know that you would do that in a heartbeat.
Ann Yippeeeee. The great that the scale did the bigger dip.
Yep. . . We can handle a typical 3- 5 inches snowfall easily. We have the shovels, snow blowers, snow plows, salt, ash, and chemical deliver to handle those storms. Then there is the South. . . the cities just do not have the same amount of resources. Have done a lot off sighing from those in the southern path of this storm.
Becky I hope that yiu were able to stock up at HEB. We are supposed to be sitting at 3 degrees tonight. Not the number that any of would want to see.
Stay bundled up.

Mj I meant to also remark onthe cute photo of you, too.
Susi Hope you have a good day. Yes, tryingto post on the mobile interface for the msgboard can be "a lot."
Audrey Hope Leo's lessons went well. We were lucky to be able to donate Mom's recliner to another resident. The NH sprayed it several times. We hope that it will bring her as much pleasure as it did mom. There are only a few small pieces of furniture from Mom's room. When the COVIDsituation is better controlled, then I will give most of these away. The large oak bookcase was from my oldest sister's law office. It feels like is should eventually go to our nephew. He has a growing library & was close to my parents. Those who will receive the items are like R & me, they are following CDC guidelines. So it will be a few months Ibefore the items go to their next home. Little by little. . . It will happen.

Good news MJ. Love the new pic Becky - Hoping you can get out and/or the neighbors can help. Sending warm thoughts your way Audrey - That's so good of you to keep helping with Leo. Enjoy your stew LOL on the peas Cathy. My goal is 2-3 miles on weekdays and 3-4 miles on weekends. Plus play time but that's been limited due to weather. Hugs June. Yes she was a bright light. Ann - I'm with you. Give me snow or rain but skip the ice. LaDonna - I got into peanuts last night. Funny, all the other nuts I have in the house don't tempt me. My laptop at home is easy to work on as is my desktop at work. Phone for emergency posting only. Yesterday was just a dreary ugly day and today didn't start out much better. However the sun was out for my walk at lunch and the temps were moderate. Tomorrow will be colder but dry with snow moving in late day and then sleet for Thursday morning. Again, being so close to the ocean, the wind direction have a big effect on what we get.

June I was very grateful to see the scale move downward. Hopefully it wasn't just fluke lol.
Susi it got warmer here late afternoon and we even got to see the sun for about ten minutes. It was a real treat.
Again Becky I pray you and Kenneth were able to get food.

Cathy, I looked at the seed packages at our grocery store. There are almost a dozen of beans put no peas. Makes sense because there are all sorts of bush and pole beans.

Our low was 3 degrees this morning and we briefly hit 30. Expecting ice tonight into tomorrow morning and again on Thursday. H‑E‑B was closed by time we got to town. They had no power and only one register and took cash only. We were without power 6 hours yesterday and 7 hours today. Found out the biggest problem was our electric company. We will have rolling outages through the weekend probably. We are in the dark again. We ate dinner by flashlight instead of candlelight. Lol.
Our main problem is finding food. One neighbor has been supplying us with water and another one brought us food we didn’t have to cook. We really need to find real food tomorrow afternoon. Another nice neighbor has offered to give us her cash because she has plenty of groceries. People are so nice. People on FACEBOOK I don’t even know have messaged me and offered to help. A local coffee shop is donating snack food boxes tomorrow and I just need to text ahead of time. I’m not even trying to diet through this. Not worth the stress.
Thanks for all the prayers.

Becky so glad you are going to be able to get some supplies that will hopefully sustain you til you can get thru this crisis. Prayers for you and K continue. Susi, I love nuts and really should not have them in the house. Laken brought these in and I told her not to do it again LOL hope you get more snow than ice. Ann, very cool scale reading I'm sure it wont be a fluke. June you are being so thoughtful with your Mom's things. She would be proud of you and R. Audrey LOL to Indiana hiding in the booze closet!!
