This thread is for all of us who have been on the weight loss merry-go-round quite a few times. We have banded together to make this our FINAL time. We offer support & motivation, WEIGHT LOSS TIPS, food ideas – whatever you need to make it your FINAL time. If you start the day’s thread, please copy and paste this paragraph, with the following 2021 Goals:
Carole: 1.) Journal Daily, thoughts, feelings, ideas 2.) Track daily, Good, Bad, Ugly, HONESTLY 3.) Move every day, 10-30 minutes, as able 4.) Limit/Reduce Alcohol, All of it! 5.) Be thankful for something - every day.
Gabrielle: 1. Wellness--take steps each day to address better wellness (moving, attention to my eating, getting sleep, etc.) 2. Debt-- continue to take steps to eliminate debt (including the kids college debt that we are covering) so that I have no debt when I retire 3. Connectedness-- each month have a plan to stay connected to those who I care about (maybe dinner once/month after COVID, Zoom, phone calls, etc.) 4. Creativity -- seek out projects that keep me using the creative side of my brain (knitting, paint parties?, etc.) 5. Journaling/Self-Awareness--find a way to journal my thoughts and to think through challenges and opportunities
Sue: 1. Get moving - plan to utilize my Cubii 3-5 times per week at least 2. Moderation - limiting junk, snacks, wine and all things I know that sabotage my success 3. Daily Gratitude - continue our November daily gratitude. 4. Start a journal - my "Life & Apples" journal will arrive later in the week. 5. Be more "present" - in life, in my journey, with family & friends, in all aspects of my world.
Jenny: 1) I'm moving to a clean eating plan like more veggie dishes and less red meat. 2) I pulled out my Bob Harper from the Biggest Loser's " Yoga for weight loss Dvd" and do that in the evening since it's pouring down rain here. 3) Cut way back on the wine at nights, they sell those tiny little bottles that have 5oz in them and limit myself to only 1-2 per day, that can work right? 4) Track everything even if I'm in the negatives and hold myself accountable.
Christine: 1. Cardio exercise daily (walk, stationary bike) 2. FOLLOW the WW Plan using Honesty. 3. Daily gratitude - Say something NICE each morning
Karen: 1. Take one step at a time and be kind to myself. 2. Move by getting my kayak on the water at least one day per week... it will be more as the weather warms. 3. Stick to my intermittent fasting schedule. 4. Try to sleep reasonably.
Shelly 1. Be more organized at work. Never leave with stuff on my desk 2. Be there for people when they need someone to lean on 3. Stick with WW plan!!! No matter what!!!! 4. Be a better influence on those around me

TAKE TIME TUESDAY - Taking time this morning to get us started here, and hope to catch up. I will also be taking time later to "leave" work early for allergy injections. Thank goodness the snow/ice has stopped, and will be all cleaned up by then! I woke at my (o;d) normal time, and heard the plow truck on our road. We had forgotten to move the cars (again) ~ Actually didn't think it would be plowable snow ~ So anyway, I got up figuring we'd have to move the cars and we'd get a call that the bank is opening late... nope, neither! LOL The snow must have changed to rain earlier... driveway is just wet - probably icy, but NOT plowable! Add to that we are up to 33 degrees (already), and no call from the bank!
I will also (try to) Take Time today to MOVE every hour, and TAKE TIME to refill my water bottle all day!
First things first... more coffee, and time to catch up if I can!

He had a rumor in his liver bigger than a grapefruit. He blood work was Normal in Oct. He was 66. Crazy. My sister just retired in Dec. Steve and I went to Pgh. My sister#1 and her GF drove her to Pgh. It was amazing how much she had declined already. They took her driver's license too.

Good morning!
Super foggy today and 42 degrees to start things off. I am still going to drive down to run with the friend...not sure that DH will ride with me this time. I am not a fan AT ALL of the driving in the fog, but I will leave a little early and take my time. This week is a "down week" for our running group....no speed or strength work so that we can have some recovery. I could run on the TM but will do that tomorrow and enjoy some company today. Thanks for starting us off today Carole and for reposting Jo's response--you are good about taking care of us (heck, you take care of EVERYBODY!)
Carole: Well, glad that the snow wasn't too bad, but be careful on the ice! I would think that it would be nice to know that you don't have to drive anywhere, isn't it? At least we only have fog. Sounds like a plan you have there---move more and get some more fluids in. I have meetings for a lot of the day today (Zooms mostly) but it isn't too bad as long as no one drops something big on my calendar. Do you have a break in birthdays now for your family? It seems like they happen in clusters and then there is time where there is a break? So glad that you had that nice day on Sunday
Christine: I left a couple of things out of my post yesterday....first of all, GOOD FOR YOU for getting your mom in for her shot! I really do believe that a lot of the cancellations are fear of it all. Thank goodness you were there to help. And about the bathroom....I am trying to recall when it all first happened--it's been so long now! I guess that the good thing is that the bathtub will be ready and it will all get done more quickly once it is started? It is crazy how long things are taking right now!
Sue: Hope that yesterday was an okay day and that today is even better!
Hello to all who follow. I need to get moving if I am going to leave early today. Today I am going to track everything and get more consistent with my tracking for the week---I have let it slide and that is never a good thing. Pizza for dinner tonight (homemade so that I control the toppings) and I like to put a lot of arugula on the top of it. Hope that you all have a good day!

Jo: Sorry you had to work yesterday, but hey Friday off is good too! Nice that you and Steve got out for dinner together ♥ and that Steven came home Sunday. LOVE chocolate covered strawberries!
So sorry for your back issues... did you figure out what was causing it??
Hmm, have I asked which air fryer you have?? I am still trying to decide which one I want. Looking for "reviews"! LOL YAY for meal prep - I did some of that yesterday after all. My DD gently reminded me that I was going to make soup... so I got that done!
Lisa: Hoping you got the break in the snow, so you could get out and get the car warmed up and get to the store. YAY for Julie and Jeff coming down for a late Christmas. I bet the kiddos have grown a lot since you last saw them ♥ Fingers crossed for Geoff & Grace's wedding! Oh I hope half the wedding party doesn't back out on them - unless it will be best that way, to allow more family to be able to attend?? We are still at a gathering of 10 inside and 25 outside here. YES, hoping that by June, and vaccines being dispensed more, that things begin to open up! Good news for travel... CDC is no longer recommending Covid tests for travelers that have had vaccines! Hoping Gov. Baker changes some of the MA mandates to go along with that!
YAY for being able to get your vaccine - so odd how the country as a "whole" doesn't have the same game plan for dispensing them! It's kind of like a crap shoot which state has which rule/guideline and who can get them when!
Gabrielle: So glad you had a day at HOME yesterday. No going out in the rain to run, to shop - to work... YAY for a day to stay in! Sounds like DM is doing well, and now that she has started the vaccine process is willing to be out and about! WOO HOO!
LOL YES! Thank you... I just felt so GUILTY for feeling like - OMG Are they ever going home!??! LOL It's weird... it's like no one wants to be the first to leave? Then when one says we are getting ready to head out soon - EVERYONE picks up and they all leave together! Oh thank you - I did hop back on yesterday afternoon, and read. I saw your link so YUP that's what was for dinner! With a couple modifications... due to not having light sour cream, and not liking mushrooms! LOL It was yummy, and the beef was perfect! Definitely a keeper! Hey it was also 7 points on BLUE! Very filling too, and I served (leftover) butternut squash with it. Should have done broccoli, but the squash was "right there"! LOL
I will definitely try to get Eden out there and down the hill... it's weird, in the summer, she has no issues, it's just she's afraid of snow/ice! She's too young to be that worried about falling!
Yes she has a bike, with training wheels. That's another thing... this fall her legs were getting too long for her bike, so Ken raised the seat... then she wouldn't ride it... she felt like she was tipping over. So this spring I will get her a NEW bike "her size", so she'll be more comfortable. We've never gotten her a "new" bike, they have all been 2nd hand... this time I may have to take her to a store so she can sit on it to be sure we get the right size? I worry she will never ride without training wheels... she is so "scared" of falling! But, we'll keep trying! If she'll let us.
We often keep stuff in our car "just in case"... Every time we go very far, we make sure we have blankets, gloves, coats, even boots - Just.In.Case.!

Mornin' Gabrielle ☼ We too seem to be very foggy out here this morning. Now that the sun is up... well, "daylight", I can't see very far into the trees, like I usually can! Oh yes, I am grateful NOT to have to be out there driving to work this morning... I have the sand bucket on the porch to throw out before I have to go anywhere. I will remind DH that the driveway will be slippery - no repeats of the fall he took years ago! Yes, our next birthday is Jaclyn on May 28. We have Easter 4/4, but that will be at Kathy's... by Jaclyn's BD we will be opening the pool! YAY! !
We may have another family day in a couple of weeks ~ We'd like to introduce Zoë to Sugar-On-Snow.! Eden too, I guess... as she had it when she was too young to remember! We'll see... that's a biggie... just a lot of time to be "watching" the syrup, so I have to decide if I truly am in the mood to NOT leave the kitchen for much of the day!
OK On to TRACKING today too... I tracked all weekend, but honestly, not sure if I recalled everything? Today will be more "normal"!

Well, I never did get those darned books done yesterday! LOL Someday... What I DID get done, is... pea soup in the crock pot, left it to simmer overnight, so must package it up today! I did get the salad all chopped and prepped for lunches... have some chicken and HB eggs and tuna to make a fuller lunch. I also got the last of the dishes done from Sunday - not many just the large serving bowls and crock pot. Tracy and I hit the tub for a little bit before time to cook dinner! The sun wasn't out, and it started snowing while we were in but it felt good. Dinner was yummy, and today I will have more dishes to get done (again)! After dinner (leftovers) there will be even more dishes... LOL Never ending issue here it seems!
Oh I also cleaned out/purged another kitchen cabinet! I had 4 gravy shakers in there, and I don't even USE one any more when I make gravy! LOL So 3 of them got put out back - in the tote - to decide Keep or throw in the spring! LOL I also "found" a veggie spiralizer, that I had forgotten Tracy had bought... so (of course) I also bought one this summer... never opened it... so now I have 2 of them! OY VEY! I'll need to use both this spring/summer (when I can find decent squash) to see which one I want to keep on hand! I also tossed several cutting boards... now that I have several different sizes from Pampered Chef, I don't need all the little cheapie ones that have been used for YEARS... time to toss them! It's so weird what you FIND in a cabinet that you DO actually USE every single day! LOL
SO I had a pretty productive day - even though it felt like I didn't do a darned thing all day! Today I need to work on laundry... Tracy was kind of "in my way" yesterday - but since she was getting her stuff out of my way - it's all good! Usually I end up throwing hers in with ours and end up DOING it FOR her... so when she is ready to do her own - I give her plenty of space and time to do so!
OK Time to get moving today... need a quick shower and get to work! ♥hugs♥

Good afternoon ladies!
The wedding is this Saturday. Future SIL has blocked me on FB.... not sad... just thinking how very ridiculous it is to do that to your future MIL... does NOT send a message of building relationships for sure. I will head for Charleston, SC with Emily, James, Tony, Isaac, and my teammate who I love, and her family to have a good weekend. Determined to not let this crap steal another weekend.
I didn't cry at my last counselor appointment... maybe I'm making progress! I am most concerned about dissociating and not being able to think clearly. My counselor assures me that I am not losing it... that when this anxiety gets under control I WILL be able to think again... and remember... and be just fine. (Sometimes I really wonder.)
Gabrielle: I hate to drive in fog too... trusting that you got to your destination safely.
Carole: I hear you on cleaning out the cabinets... I sometimes wonder what I was thinking... oy vey! Nobody needs as many items as I own. I could set up multiple kitchens from my own!

MMS from work at lunch...finishing my leftovers from Saturday's "date night". Was exhausted by the time I got home last night...then got all my lunch packed and ready for today with OT. By then I was done!! Computer was being stupid this morning so couldn't even start us off. Not sure if I'll be back tonight or not....more OT in the morning and I'm dragging already. Need to get my shower tonight so I don't have to get it in the morning...don't want to get up earlier or wake Jason with the water running behind his head!! LOL!!
Hope all are having a great day!
