Good morning friends. Slept well just not long enough. Happy there isn't a thing on the agenda or nothing that I need at the market so this can be another day spent inside.
Right now no snow but it's raining and we are still under the 'wintry weather' advisory.
Pam happy you had a fun visit on face time with family. Praying you don't lose power. I bet seeing your niece's husband and family on Family Feud was a hoot. Will have to look into True Detective. Right now we are watching Manhunt:Deadly Games and enjoying it via Netflix.
Waving and shall CBL
I did well with my food choices yesterday...up until a neighbor dropped off lemon squares which are my favorite...need I say more

Hey all,
It's icy out there! Our roads are just wet but DH called me early to tell me not to go onto the driveway- sheer ice. He said he "roller skated" out to his truck this morning.
I have three days of a national conference on higher ed to attend starting today. We pick and choose classes and it looks very interesting. There are speakers from all over the country who are nationally recognized interesting college leaders. Should be good. I have signed up for a few every day.
Tomorrow the doggie have their monthly grooming appts at the doggie spa. Then, I am going to pick up my new eyeglasses and drop off tax info to our accountant since it's in the same neighborhood. Our accountant is not seeing anyone in person this year - hopefully, I will bring all that he needs.
Pam, loved your getting your DGD in MI to giggle about Louisiana weather. Your DD living there must miss her home state during the winter. You are a busy bee as always keeping up on chores and saving washing floors to have something to do. Love that one! And, darn! I meant to watch your relatives on Family Feud! How fun to see them and loved hearing about the relatives racy comment. That's what drives up those ratings so the show must have loved him, too! Maybe I can go back and watch.
We also loved True Detective. I watched it when it first came out a few years back and liked Seasons I and III the best. I'll be curious to see what you think.
Ann, who can resist lemon squares. I love anything lemon - my favorite - even more than chocolate!
I did a mile walk with Leslie Sansone on YouTube last night that also incorporated stretchy bands for resistance and strength. It was great and I plan to do more of that today and every day that I can. So easy right here at home and I don't need any equipment that will sit idle. My history with treadmills and rowing machines is dismal! lol I always feel like a hamster in a cage. Ha ha. My kids love the Peleton and all that stuff but they are faithful users and seem to get their money's worth.
Off to have my oatmeal and get this day going. Have a great day. Oh, we watched a cute Romantic comedy last night called Love Guaranteed. It was recommended as a fun love story and it was. It's on Netflix if you want something light and cute. My mom and I used to love watching those types of movies together along with mysteries!

Hi Judy...our driveway is also iced over and on a slant so 'your truly' shall remain indoors today. Kudos on getting the walking video done. LOL on the exercise equipment. I've had it all over the years. My favorite was the dreadmill as it made a good place for my bathrobe. We had it in the bedroom when we lived in our condo I also find lemon anything VERY hard to resist. These were delish as they had coconut on top It was a nice touch. I felt very 'tropical' eating it LOL. Sounds like you are keeping busy with your work classes doggie grooming and such. That movie sounds cute. Will have to check into that and the True Detective series that you and Pam have watched. TTFN

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Fat Tuesday! DH was reading me articles about Paczki this morning and we laughed at the lengths people will go to obtain said treat. I tried them once years ago, but wasn't a fan. Given the fat and sugar content it's probably for the best that I didn't care for them.
Ann ~ Glad you slept well. When it isn't long enough, there's always a nap waiting in the wings. I went to bed at 10 and right to sleep and didn't even wake until 5 a.m. to make a bathroom trip, then back to bed until 7. THAT is a good night's sleep indeed!! Glad you have nothing on your agenda today - I am enjoying the same thing. I also love anything lemon! Lucky you to get lemon squares dropped off. Enjoy!!
Judy ~ I love your new picture. What a sweet little face! I have to agree with your mom on "how much will it matter a year from now" (and she didn't even know about the impending year-long pandemic). I was trying the other day to think what we were doing a year ago this week?? Apparently it was nothing that I remembered .....
Pam ~ Too funny about your DGD's weather being in your yard! We have enough to share should you want more. We frequently watch "Family Feud" but not last night .... darn!!
We have very cold temps this morning with an actual of 12 and RF of -4. DH had parked his truck out on the road so the grounds crew could plow our driveway, and when he used the remote start he didn't hear it start. But when he got there it was running, so he figured the thick layer of snow must have muffled the engine sound.
I am in the midst of changing our bed and the previous sheets are washed and in the dryer now. That may be it for today, as I have already wiped down the bathroom.
Last night DH was very late getting home (like almost 8 o'clock) so I had served up our two supper plates and put away the left-overs and did the clean up. We had turkey breast with mashed red skin potatoes and green beans. I also made some homemade turkey gravy from the packet inside and the drippings. We have enough for another supper.
This morning DH made his scrambled EB + SWEB and cheese, a slice of Killer Dave's and a fruit bowl. It was delicious. I have about a half serving of veggie/bean soup for lunch with a Clementine and then it will be time to make a new pot. Tonight's supper will be grilled Tilapia and Birds Eye Southwest Style Power Blend (black beans, corn, lentils, whole grains, red bell pepper, lentil zucchini orzo pasta with a zesty sauce). I am thinking it will compliment the fish well.
I am holding steady weight-wise, but I found myself reaching into the candy jar too much yesterday, so I need to cut that back. Tomorrow I go back to school (provided we have school). We don't have any more snow predicted until Thursday, so if Friday is declared a Snow Day, I don't work then anyway.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Sue you've been productive. I did a load of laundry and cleaned both bathrooms and I'm calling it a day. Your meal last night sounded really good and win win on leftovers. MMM to breakfast and enjoy supper.
Holding steady in the weight department is always a good thing. Hopefully you'll be able to get to school tomorrow and enjoy your Friday off.
Also not a fan of the paczki. I had one once years ago when I worked at City Hall and luckily I just cut a piece and the rest I have to another worker. I can imagine they would be extremely high in points due to the sugar content not to mention the fat LOL.
Tonight we are having a chicken veggie rice casserole that I prepared yesterday. All I need to do is pop it in the oven. I have a tomato and cucumber and also made up a little salad for the side.
Yes Sue I shall be taking that nap anytime now. I feel very sleepy.

Hi All,
I had to read up on the paczksi since I never heard of it and neither had my husband and he is Polish! So I turned to Wikipedia to read up on it:
"The Tuesday before lent, people of Poland used up food so that it would not be spoiled or wasted. Families would use up their eggs, butter and sugar and fruit by treating themselves one last time before Lent began with these rich donuts. This tradition was started in the medieval age during the reign of August III."
Boy, the tradition goes back a long ways!
I sat through three sessions of classes today and my ears are tired. They were good and I learned something but at this stage of my working life, I doubt I'll put much to use. Always good to learn, though.
Sue, I had an issue with the Lindt chocolates today - I had three of those great white and milk chocolate truffles. For some reason they kept popping into my mouth. Like jumping beans! Oh-oh.
Ann, glad you stayed off the driveway! Treacherous out there on sidewalks and driveways.
I received a very funny video that I am gong to send you three. I think you will get a big kick out of it. It was hilarious - from a Story Corp radio story. It's titled Inflatable Bra and sounds odd, but I can't wait to hear your reaction. I am surprised you three did not hear me howling with laughter at your houses. My DH was doubled over. I needed that laugh!
Time to get dinner going soon - roast pork tenderloin with asparagus and potato. TTFN

Lol I have that same jumping bean problem Judy.
Loved both emails....especially the little Italian man.
We saw sunshine for about ten minutes. It was good to see it.
Time to read.
Sweet dreams all.
