Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Old man winter dumped about 6” of snow overnight, snowfall is done for the day. My driveway will be cleared by noon. And again Buffalo was spared the full amount of the storm.
Lunch was fun yesterday. We plan on doing that more often. DSILs sister, brother and brother-in-law made appointments for the vaccine in Rochester. I was talking to one if the new girls in the dealerships cleaning team. Somehow we got to that topic. She asked if I was older than 65, then took my name and phone number. Turns out she coordinates the schedule for vaccines from Walgreens. They haven’t received the vaccine as expected, but she will get me on the list when the next shipment arrives. I’ll continue to look for appointments, but it sounds like I will get one soon. Fingers crossed.
Ruth - good plan for the yarn. I donated a lot earlier this year to my church for the prayer shawl ministry. I still have some in case I want to knit a scarf for myself. Mating socks is my least fun project. I usually just end up buying more socks ...
Dottie - hope you enjoyed the afternoon with your friends. Slowly we’ll be able to get back to more activities as more and more of us get vaccines. I’m already talking to other cashier about going for walks on Sunday afternoons when the weather breaks.
Martha- waking up to no electricity is awful, glad it came back relatively soon.
Enjoy your day

'morning~ DH headed off to work (with a little issue of snow berm on our street) and when he got there, power was out. Not sure if he'll be headed home or not. Shortly, I will get myself ready for the day. And yes, it does include spare room. Along with walk to library to return & get books. Joy - your lunch sounds great! Keeping fingers crossed that your co-worker can get you on list quickly. Dottie - Am sure that getting together was the best part of the day. Ruth - Am sure that where ever your yarn ends up, the recipient will be very happy. I think being able to see others is a big part of keeping mental health issues at bay. (((hugs))) (((hugs))) (((hugs))) I will be back later. can't stay away from you!!

Martha, is it unusual for you to get that much snow? I know you get lots of rain, but didn’t realize that you got snow storms. Hope your electricity has stayed on. A house can get cold very quickly without electricity.
Joyce, that is great that you are on another list for the vaccine. Hope you get an appointment soon at one of the places. I hope you can start getting together frequently with DB and DSIL. That is so important for so many reasons.
Ruth, did you get Mara home okay yesterday? Has it warmed up? My DGSs lose a one sock to a pair so often, last year for Christmas I bought them each a pkg of 10 pair, all the same socks, so no matching required.
I really feel for the people in the southern states that don’t have central heat and to top it off some areas are having power outages. It is above freezing for both of my DSs today and they are getting rain, might be the January thaw a month late. I plan on making several dinners this afternoon, that way I don’t have to worry about cooking while the contractors are here. They won’t be in the kitchen but will need to walk thru the kitchen to get their tools/flooring.

Good afternoon all. I slept most of the morning. Don’t feel sick, but just could not wake up. So I reclined my recliner, put on my fleece throw, and napped. Woke and feel less tired. I thought I slept last night, but apparently didn’t get enough rest!!!
I finally got moving about lunch time. Dishwasher is running. Stan left to go get DS’s car towed and battery replaced. He has to wait about an hour for AAA. DIL is working a 3 days shift of nights; so DS has Mara. And I didn’t volunteer to go. I got the first of the yarn sorted and older DD decided which she wanted and I sent pictures to younger DD for her friends. Younger DD doesn’t want the yarn, says she can’t knit or crochet worth a darn! But she does want more of my cross-stitch supplies as I get rid of them! Going to get more of the yarn sorted and photographed and then try to get rid of it. Clean out the closet in the girls’ bedroom. Eventually want to put Mara in there also but with less temptation to get into!!!
Joy, so happy you enjoyed your lunch! And Dottie your game sounds good. We haven’t seen friends in a year, will be a while until we do. Spring when we can finally be outside, masked, and all having had 2 shots! Martha, hope you have power soon. I would hope it’s not a long outage! Can’t believe what all those in the south are going thru. They just aren’t prepared for this weather at all. Scares me that this may be the new normal.
Harper went back to in-person school today. By the looks she was thrilled. Had been an entire year since she’d been in-person. She’s been doing lots of baking too. I think some of it is considered math, measuring, etc.
Ok, I need to get up and get moving and get some things done while Stan’s gone. Need to do some real cleaning and all. Have a good day all. And stay safe and warm!!!

Oregonians don't know how to drive in rain let alone in snow. We have had several years that have had snow on the valley floor. Our elevation is around 500 ft. The cold air from the Columbia Gorge comes thru and collides with moisture and snow-ma-gedan. I haven't downloaded the pictures of the snow/ice around our house. Off for a walk (about 1 mile round trip) to return & get more books. Then spare room is demanding a working appearance. (((hugs))) ps - back from walk to library. it only took just under an hour to walk there and back. very slushy mess. was wearing my korel boots and made it home dry.
