I will walk before breakfast and PMTH. After breakfast I will help Leo. Yesterday afternoon I baked a cake because Rachel and the girls are coming for dinner. I brought two pieces to my neighbor Peggy who celebrated her 88th birthday on the 12th. Dinner tonight is grilled brined pork chops with rice pilaf, roasted tri colored carrots and salad. Adding love and prayers to everyone suffering from this terrible storm. Stay safe and as warm as possible.

Windy, Wet & Wild today. Cat wants inside but hubby said she stays out so do hope she heads to the garage or some other spot to stay warm.
AUDREY: How nice to have made cake and shared with your 88 year old friend. How is Leo doing with school...has his teacher mellowed at all?
JUNE: I don't know if my husband will get the peas to plant or not. Too bad they are not planted already as the rain would have helped them grow.
LADONNA: My daughter calls ahead to get "authentic" Mexican food in Missouri. She said if she doesn't it is made with processed cheese and tomato sauce not true sauces, cheeses, etc. I learned to make Mexican food overseas and how to make Lebanese food when living in the USA...funny that what I miss I learn to make
ANN: Hooray for the scale dipping down again!
BECKY: I am glad you are staying positive during the rolling blackouts...stay warm, too! Hope you were able to get to the grocery store and find food! How crazy...I doubt many keep cash on hand in the USA. My husband won't use a credit-debit card unless we are traveling. Hope you find food!
SUSI: Hope the weather is "okay" today. I don't mind dreary weather but much prefer it when it is in between hot and cold.

Good morning friends. Another night of sleeping well and waking up refreshed. I sound like a broken record...but we still remain under the 'wintry mix advisory'
Wishing all a safe dry and happy day.
Cathy sorry your cat needs to remain outdoors. I hope she finds a nice dry warm area.
Waving...and will CBL

Good morning, June - Ann - Becky - Audrey - Bee - Cathy - LaDonna - Susi - Pam - and AWL!
Prayers continue for you and your loved ones, and thank you for your prayers for me and mine...
Extra prayers for any in the path of fire and storm(s)... and for those who need extra helpings of divine intervention at this time... and a few extra for all students whether IRL, virtual, or hybrid... and for those who mourn... and for peace in our nation.
And for Becky and Kenneth, that you'll be able to stay warm.
💞🐵🙈🐵🙉🐵🙊🐵💞
The rain didn't last yesterday and the sun made a welcome appearance. We (<er>, I mean "I"!) got carried away with the outdoor stuff yesterday, and ibuprofen is my best friend this morning <UP the ladder / DOWN the ladder / MOVE the ladder>. But the ice dam on the north side of the house is completely cleared - just in time for the temps to drop again and for another storm to be headed our way on Thursday.
Today? A lot of miscellaneous paperwork of varying types. Perhaps if I assign blocks of time to each (and a timer to alert me when time's up), none will seem too overwhelming. Perhaps, too, I will set a reward for this evening.
Coffee... ☕️☕️☕️... and a plan...
💖💐💝💐💖💐💝💐💖💐💝💐💖💐💝 Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! 💖💐💝💐💖💐💝💐💖💐💝💐💖💐💝
medUPDATE on Jeanne: She came home last evening, after 6 PM. All her tests and numbers (including one last x-ray) were pointing in the right direction. Hopefully more detailed information today on her and the rest of the Wags.

Becky Bless those neighbors who are reaching out. Thank goodness for caring people. Each of us wishes that we could do something to help you. Praying for your safety. Praying for some level of comfort & peace of mind.
.Ann Hope that you slept well. Nuts are foods that I may or may not be able to handle. Almonds are good, portable snacks for me if they are measured out and paired with fruit. Leave me alone at night with a jar or bag that I can pour or grab a fistful . . . Game over.
Audrey Enjoy the dinner with Rachel & girls. What a nice treat for everyone, Am sure your neighbor appreciated the cake for her birthday. How very thoughtful.
Cathy LOL. . . Ifsome ideas never come to pass, it can be a good thing. Planting peas maybe one of those schemes. My nephews have experience as chefs, so they make many authentic dishes that Mexican, Vietamanese, and so on. They make family dinners interesting.
Many people I knowseldom have any cash. R & I have not used much cash during the pandemic.

This was written last night and I forgot to post ---
And, June, never forget part of your Mom's shining light is now shining through you and her other children. Going through their stuff isn't easy.
Becky, six hours without electricity is a long time. I thought three hours was bad. Praying the weather moves on soon. Do you have no soups or anything in the freezer to keep from going out in this mess?
Audrey, enjoy your class. That stew sounds good.
MJ, hope the day goes as planned. Yes, how many days till spring?
Cathy, being a lover of green peas, I hope Hubby finds some seeds. I have eaten the raisin bread grilled cheese with velveeta and american cheese slices. Next I want to try pepper jack. Yes, I am a common folk.
LaDonna, I like to add my own spice. I also do not want the first taste to be hot, as you never get to the real taste of what you're eating. Susi, I am phone on-line illiterate almost. Love being surrounded by my laptop and pc at home.
Pam, hope ALL is well with you and yours.
This is today ---
We have clouds to infinity, rain heading our way and brrrrrrrr, brrrrrrrrr, brrrrrrrr.
Even though I shall have a great day. Rehab this morning.
Hope ALL have a great day!
I haven't read this morning's posts yet.

Ann We have a broken record here, too. Beitter coldandprediction ofsnow. The town to the south of us is reporting 4 degrees. We are here at 1 degree. But there is a promise of hitting the 20s. I will headput for some bottled water. That is the one thing that I do not have on hand.
Mj Goodness I am glad that you could safely clear the ice jam onthe roof. Do you have any Espomsalts? A nice soak in hot water could help. settinhpg the timer has worked for me. Kerosene it manageable.

Ann-- exactly. I do best ifI make roastedalmonds into snack bags,. But an open jar or bag is an invitation to start the party!
Bee Hope the rehabsession continues to help you build strength. This is hardly nOrleans type of weather. I can imaginspe that thiscold ismiserablefor the Gulf coast.
I feel the same way. Their love lives onthrough us. I was incredibly lucky to have both parents so long.
