Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Waving to Joyce and Martha, hope you are both staying warm.
Ruth it might sound like we are doing a lot but we only associate with very few people, 2 other couples and one lady whose husband died several years ago. When we play Mah Jongg we play on our lanais with the patio doors open and when we meet with someone for a drink it is outside in our pergola. Most of the people we see when walking (besides the ones I mentioned above) have had at least their first shot and many have already had both shots (Mederna). We haven’t seen one of our friends and might not see her while we are here because she goes to the “little casino” near the condo several times a week. There are “little casinos” all over and they don’t require masks, so needless to say we probably won’t be seeing her. She also has not had her shots yet. Being able to be outside makes socializing much easier. That’s great that Harper is back in person school, I’m sure she is happy to see her friends. Did your DD ever figure out how Sawyer got the impetigo, usually that is by direct contact with someone who had it. Hope Stan was able to get your DSs car working for him.
The installers showed up at 8:50, supposed to be here by 9 so we thought we were off to a good start. Two installers, both Mexican (so there is a little problem with communicating) but very polite and neat. They feel the cracks should be ground out and then patched. They also said that most condos have cracks in the concrete floors but ours are a little worse than some they have seen. The salesman is coming this afternoon to look at the situation, the installers said he would probably recommend just patching the cracks, but they felt it should be ground down so there isn’t any hollow areas that could cause problems. The installers won’t do the grinding of the cracks/bumps, so they don’t make anything extra by having it done that way. It will cost us some extra $$$ but we will probably go with what the installers suggested. The project will also take a few extra days but we would rather have it right. I’ll keep you posted.

Good afternoon all. Was above zero when we got up; going below zero again tonight (-1) but up to 18 tomorrow! They are saying 40’s possible early next week! I can hardly wait!
Dottie, I didn’t mean to sound judge mental on socializing. Sorry if i did. It’s just a lot harder here where it’s so cold! We could do more of it if we were into outdoor activities like walks where we could socialize! But we’re not (and at my age I doubt I’ll change!).
I had to laugh at your talking about the 2 installers. When we had our kitchen/laundry/dining/bath flooring replaced; the 2 installers were interesting. One spoke mostly Spanish (a little English) and the other spoke a mainly Russian (a little English)!!! They were funny on lunch break. In our garage, on their phones; both speaking rapidly in their native tongues!!! They seemed to work well together, comments in English when they needed to communicate with each other or us! They did great work and we love the flooring. It was the Luxury Vinyl Tile, but was laid over the linoleum we had. I’m so happy to hear your guys were on time, but sorry it’s going to take longer (and sounds messier) than you’d hoped.
Getting ready to go with Stan for his 2nd shot. Be nice to get these done. Going to drop off some stuff at younger DD’s house and will get to see Sawyer as she’ll be home early before heading to speech therapy. She’s checking with her friends about a lot of the yarn older DD doesn’t want.
Dottie, the tow truck driver got DS’s car started and DS drove it over to the repair place. They didn’t need a tow after all. New battery and they are good to go. Since DIL’s is starting ok now that it’s not -38 windchill, we’ll wait until spring to put a new battery in her car. Hers is newer than DS’s car, so battery may be newer. They had to have 1 car that was running for sure for her working. She worked 13 hr shifts F, S, S; had M off, now 8 hr shifts T, W, T. She’s picking up extra hours to help financially.
Martha, hope your headache is gone and isn’t a migraine!! Hope Joy is ok. Did she have a dr appt. today?
Ok, need to do a few things before it’s time to leave with DH. Will check in later.

Joyce, hope you are okay, I guess you are at work now.
Ruth, I just meant that it is easy to socially distance when we can be outside so much. Bill and I did walking at home till the weather changed and then we worried about ice patches and falling.
Change in plans, the second crew arrived around 4 to work on levelling the floor. They said this will take about 2 1/2 hours and then tomorrow they will be ready to start laying the new floor. We had to move everything we need for tonight into the guest room because once they start pouring the leveler we can't walk on it for 10 to 12 hours. It is costing us more than we thought, but we feel this needs to be done correctly. I hope this all goes as planned this evening.

Ya know ... sometimes I just think I post when I startup and today was one of those days.
I got a haircut today, he took about an inch off and threw in some layers. Gave my hair a bit of a lift, it needed it. I’m not ready for my summer pixie yet, probably will get it done like that in April.
I checked me X-ray report in the portal, nothing unusual. So I’ll continue with the fiber gummies, probiotics, water, and I’ll make sure I get some exercise in. I see PCP in a month. I feel better, things are starting to move along ...
Boss is starting to go back to nasty mode. I gave a stapler to one of the sales staff, put a note on the cabinet so another could be ordered. Well, she is refusing to order any more staplers of staple pullers (we need them when we scan documents). Neither item is expensive, it’s not like she pays for them out of her pocket. We’ve not been instructed to cut down on supplies, she just had to have a tantrum about something. I swear I want to call and have information on bipolar symptoms sent to her home ... one of these days ...
Next Monday Walgreens is going to open up schedule for vaccines. Gal said she’s not sure how many, or which locations, but told me to get on the website early and hopefully I can get a vaccine scheduled. She said she will look at schedule when she gets into work and if any openings left she’ll call me in case I didn’t schedule yet. Hopefully I’ll get my first shot next week.
See everyone tomorrow.
