Karen, ROFLMAO. I would deem it a rodent buzzard. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I hope the roads are okay on your way to Osteo and no tire lights come on.
Becky, electrics back full time yet? Great to have nice neighbors to help you out. Hope when you do get to HEB they have stuff on their shelves. Keep safe and warm.
I saw video of a long line at HEB in Austin and when someone did get in there wasn’t much left. It looked like May 2019 when we had all the tornadoes here.
Waving to the gang.
We just finished an early lunch and I sent Iggy upstairs with an ice pack. He didn’t ice yesterday and he is feeling it. It is snowing again and last I checked we had half an inch more. We should get another inch or two. I got on the bike this morning and did chair yoga. The hips and lower back are loosening some but the quads, glutes, upper back and neck are holding on to tension. Daily work will help.

Karen, thanks for the start. I would deem that a Squirrely Buzzard! Have a safe trip to Osteo.
Chele, they probably haven't been able to get in to stock supplies in the grocery stores in TX. We've had that situation after hurricanes. This is our hot day followed tomorrow by a rainy day and then a cool day.
Becky, hope things are improving some. You've sure had a rough week. I'm glad some of your neighbors have helped out.

Power is on but nobody knows if it’s permanent.
Linda I was furious at Cruz when I first heard that. I won’t vote for him again.
Beto is just being helpful so he can run for office again. The only place he is well liked in Texas is the El Paso area he is from. He still thinks he can take guns away from Texans.
Not feeling well at all today and not getting much exercise in. There will be another day for that. I may have gotten over hungry and sick 😷.
H‑E‑B is open today. We can’t get there due to roads. Line is way too long and not standing in line outside on snow and ice. By time they close at 5 they won’t have any food left. People started lining up before 10:00 for a 12:00 opening.

Becky, I was wondering how the roads were out your way. I am sorry you are feeling unwell. I wish I could do something for you. Sending prayers your way.

Beautiful picture Chele. It got up to 32 but will start going back down but sun is supposed to come out tomorrow and get in the 30's. Maybe we can find some place to get food tomorrow afternoon. Walmart will open back up tomorrow but like one employee said anything in the frozen section won't be good because of the outages.

Saw this on Facebook. It could be political but it's so true.

Thanks for the start, Chele. You're wise to keep it going on the exercise to get those tight spots loosened up. Speaking of tight, sorry Iggy has had a bit of a setback. You have really had the snow. How is your street looking? Could you get out on the roads if you wanted to? I had wet travels the entire way today but it wasn't that heavy and temps were in the upper 30s, so no issues. And no tire lights, but sometimes in rain the crash-avoidance system goes out and the dash lights up for that and that happened quite a lot today.
Becky, do you still have power? I agree with Chele that if you had been able to get to HEB, the pickings would have been slim. I saw an interview with the mayor of Ft. Worth and she said there weren't many deliveries getting in right now, so it may be that way for a while. It's great to have neighbors helping out. Texas is like that. I can imagine that your stomach could be rebelling to the major change in eating you are experiencing right now. I hope your system will adapt back quickly after you can regularly get yogurt and fruit and the other things you regularly eat. Speaking of yogurt, I made a batch of non-dairy yogurt in the Instant Pot that I will be having for breakfast in the morning, with fruit and granola. I really missed yogurt when I went back to being vegan. I agree with you about getting Cruz out of there. I doubt that Beto could single-handedly take everyone's guns away but, like you said, most of the state doesn't like him. He would be there for Texas where Cruz has not been. It would be great if Cruz got primaried in 2024.
I guess you heard about DuhSantis earmarking covid vaccine specifically for some Tampa suburbs that are heavy Republican, Kathy. I hope your state can do better at governor next election. How warm did it get today at your house? Is tomorrow a grocery order day? I wonder if you'll have produce shortages, since some of that comes from Texas or from Mexico through Texas. Osteo trip was a wet one, but traffic was lighter than normal, which was great.
Linda, it's nice to have a clean house. I'm sure Micki did a fantastic job of guarding the neighborhood from the safety of the sofa. did you get ahead of the migraine? Yes, Cruz would not be a good choice for president, any more than Josh Hawley would be.
I got in and out of Osteo early so I had time to do a little shopping. I stopped at WM, which I rarely do, for some new glass storage bowls. We are eating a lot of rice and veggies and keep running out of bowls. That won't be happening now. I also stopped at VitaminShoppe for probiotics, and got some things at World Market. Then I went to the gym and did my strength workout plus 15 minutes on the elliptical. I told Dale I want to start back to the gym on Tuesday, weather-permitting. I'll probably keep the elliptical time to 15 minutes until after I get the vaccine. We actually had fewer than 1K new cases for the past few days.
Waving to the others.

Karen HEB's are only open 12-5 in Central TX right now and people had to wait in line 2 hours outside in the cold before getting in to find near empty shelves. It won't change until they are fully stocked.Walmart is going to try to open tomorrow and we will stop at a Mexican Market if we can get in their small parking lot. Even if we don't find fresh meat I want to find enough shelf stable foods and hopefully any kind of frozen or can fruit and yogurt. My stomach was actually rebelling to the junk food that came along with essentials from kind and well meaning friends. I cannot eat junk food for 2 days in a row. While we couldn't have made it without our kind neighbors as I said there was junk food.
The deal with Ted Cruz is complicated. His house was out of power like the rest of us. He flew the kids to Cancun yesterday and went with them because I'm sure he didn't want them to fly alone on a plane and came back today and was in constant contact with Gov Abbott. While it doesn't excuse what he did protesters were outside of his house when he came home. I don't have a problem with that as long as they were peaceful protesters but where were those protesters when Mayor Adler came home from spending time in Cabo during a pandemic where he told citizens in Travis County to stay home. Of course Beto couldn't do it personally but when he ran for president he said hell yea I'm going to come get your guns. Texans don't forget. He is known as Buto around here. I would never vote for Beto. Not even for dog catcher.
Linda I'm glad your headache is gone. Things will be alright Linda. Just two more below freezing nights. I saw that picture on FB. Thanks for the link but there are no warming centers in our county.
I am beyond exhausted. Good night all and thanks for prayers and good wishes.
