This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here!

We are at the animal ER for Janie. (Black lab/Husky mix on left in profile picture) her balance is off. We thought it was anxiety due to the smoke alarm going off, but it didn't get better. So please send positive thoughts her way.❤

Hi Everyone, Jill, awe, hope that it will be okay for your furkid.. Today I should go to the gym,its so cold so I'll see although of course not as cold as Susie's outdoor classes.
Then I need to try to do some more stuff on my binder. I want to see if I can see get the printer to work and print out some pictures. I shall see. Then work on some more descriptions. I really don't want to do it but I have to.
Then I bought the ingredients to make the bourbon chicken so I will make it. It doesn't seem difficult according to the directions like that will take that long to make. I hope it will be good and worth the time making it. It seemed like a lot of people said good things about it. If after all that I hope to sit down and start reading the next book. I read just a bit yesterday but was tired and was falling asleep so didnt get very far. Have a good day!

Good morning friends!
Jill - Oh no! How scary. Sending the very best mojo your way for your sweet Janie. I hope it's nothing serious. It's so scary when our fuzzy kids are sick. Sending big hugs for you and her.
Well, it looks like I never posted yesterday. Oopsie! I didn't intend skip. We had a really good day. Because it was going to be very cold over night, we waited a little later in the morning to head out so the sun would be a little higher in the sky and the temps could come up just a bit. It was 34 when we started out and about 38 when we finished and headed home, with the sun shining brightly and very little breeze it didn't feel nearly as cold as last time. We knocked out 5 miles, so not too bad at all. We stuck to the lower trails though because the ground was very squishy from the rain, snow, sleet, blah blah blah....all the stuff that fell from the sky in the past week. Lol. The muddy parts were especially muddy and there was a lot of standing water that we had to make our way across and around, so I figured the upper trails with all of their steeper inclines and declines would be pretty iffy. All in all it was a nice outing, even if we did have to take our boots off in the garage and leave them there until the mud dries and we can knock most of that mess off outside. Haha.
It was about 1pm when we got home. The rest of the day was just spent relaxing. Mark watched some basketball and sat out back in the sun in the afternoon and did some reading. All in all, a good day.
Janet - is today your Olive Garden date, or maybe that was yesterday. If it was yesterday, I hope you enjoyed it.
Well, coffee awaits. Have a great day everyone. BBL.

Lora, sounds like a good hike! You ARE adventurous... thank goodness you had the boots. Janet, the chicken sounds good. That binder is never ending! But glad you have time to work on it. They are treating Janie for an ear infection, and we hope that's it. They sedated her there to do the blood tests and x-ray, to make sure she didn't get into something, so she's still groggy. They told us it might be 48 hours before we see improvement. Glad it's just that. She's sleeping right now. So DH never went to bed last night since he stayed up with Janie. He's sleeping now, and I might take a nap too. We took her like at 6 AM, so I was up early and nervous. I was thinking about the diverticulitis and I had three apples with skin on the week before the flare up. Eating them I was like "these are so good, why don't I do this more often?" Looking back, maybe that worsened the diverticulitis... not sure. But, I am on the mend. I am still on the bland diet though, sometime this week I'll slowly add in fiber again. Yesterday DH and I made it to a local diner that we like. I had pancakes and eggs... perfect. It was a treat, but not crazy off the charts. It was nice to go out again. I hope everyone has a nice Sunday!

Hello Everyone...watched online church and drove over for a "drive-thru" communion. Stopped at Publix to pick up some flowers for a couple of friends celebrating birthdays. It is wonderful seeing the sunshine, but tomorrow rain (which probably means the outdoor ex class will be cancelled).
Jill - did the blood work, x-ray show anything? Sure hope doggie feels better soon and that you and DH get some sleep. Pancakes and eggs...mmmmmm.
Janet - if you like the bourbon chicken, post the recipe.
Lora - yippee for getting to take the hike - even with all the mud, I'm sure you were thrilled to get out!
OK... off to crochet some "ear extenders/easers" to go with masks that DN needs for a group. I will listen to an audio book while I crochet.

I was easily able to get that ultrasound scheduled, it was more that it had to fit into my schedule, I didn't want to go smack in the middle of the day, so I have it rescheduled for Thursday.
Jill, I wonder if dogs can get vertigo? I hope you pup does OK.
Lora, nice hike you had. When the sun is shining temps in the 30's can feel warm.
Susie, nice that you can do that drive by communion. At the church here, which I have to pass all the time now that I have to detour because of construction, I know people are still going into the church. It's a very big one, the largest Catholic Parrish on Long Island.
Janet, I keep looking at that bourbon chicken recipe, but lots of ingredients, and lots that are higher in points or calories than I would normally want.
My DS's and DDIL's were here for lunch. Maddie is now napping in the crib, so glad we got that, and they went to Trader Joe's. It's easier for them to go from here than in the city.

Hi again, Got to the gym this morning then did a run to the pharmacy for my prescriptions, came home and ate lunch. Then worked on my binder. I was able to print a few pictures but these cartridges dont really let you print more than maybe 4 or 5 at most. I am hoping that tommorow our director will know where the cartridges are since our family worker couldnt. My friend let me have one of hers but she may need them too even tho she is also using her computer and plans to take them to get printed in color somehow. I have never tasted bourbon chicken. I used less chicken then they called for since its just for me. I hope it will taste okay. It called for such small amounts of certain ingredients like green onions which even though they didn't mention a thing about putting them in I see on the picture they are basically just on top of the chicken. Since I had a small onion I just threw some in the sauce with the chicken.. I'll put it over the rice and hope it tastes ok. I really really know to though to compare since I I havent had it before. I had written earlier but sometimes it gets stuck and I can't write anymore so I can't post it which is a pain. Lora, my friend and I did have lunch at Olive Garden. The last time I had lunch out was with her too before we all had to have no indoor dining before Thanksgiving. Her granddaughter works there as a hostess so we had our own room looking out the window. We both had eggplant parmesan but different soups and drinks. Have a good evening!
