Do you take time each day to relax?

I guess sitting and sipping my hot coffee is relaxing, other than that I don't do anything to relax although I did just start meditating and exercising and both of those can relax me.

Somethings I do to relax: * Read at night before bed. * Listen to easy listening music a lot during the day instead of TV. * Meditation - breathing. * Go to the beach especially in the warm months. Did go to beach today for lunch. * I enjoy the WW virtual meetings and join one if I'm bored.

Some would say my days are filled with relaxation. I don't have anything but the reading/reviewing, cooking and cleanup that I HAVE to do so...it is my choice if I stress or not

Relaxing is my default mode. I have to stir myself to get things done. Although, I consider myself an anxious person. So maybe I'm not all that relaxed after all?

lani, I stopped meditating and now I'm having anxiety in the morning so I went back to it three days ago. It is a bit of an effort to get myself to do it but thinking it will help gets me to do it.

bbbearsmomSo sorry you struggle with anxiety. I can relate to that as I also have that problem. I don't take anything for it as I'm so sensitive to side effects of medicine. Do you do anything else to prevent it besides meditation?πππ

mac, I do have a generic form of Valium if it gets bad. I'm also working on getting more activity because that also helps. And, I talk to myself to get myself through things.

bbbearsmomYes, exercise definately helps anxiety, it's why I'm back to riding my bike as well as omitting sugar and salt for me!π€

Yes, I have noticed a definite negative change in my moods when I skip the meditation. It works but I really need to be consistent. I find I can skip one day a week at the most. I can get by without when I'm vacationing in Hawaii. Sun, sea and the lush landscape seem to do the trick!

bbbearsmom, I started listening to sleep meditations and find itβs a lovely way to relax before sleep. I need to get back into the habit of morning meditations.
