Thanks for the start, Karen. Hope you enjoyed the Salsarita’s. Good job on getting an appointment for the vaccine.
Becky, hope you get that hot water soon. Scooter will just have to live with life as is. They get so spoiled, don’t they? Hope you are getting warmer.
Linda, good luck with the lava rocks and the shrub. Iggy is chomping at the bit to get back in the garden.
Waving to the rest of the crew.
Iggy goes to the chiropractor tomorrow morning. He is still having some issues. I will be going to the grocery after he leaves, so I don’t have to listen to his nagging about watching my back. My back will take awhile to get back to normal. It always does. Yesterday was a bad day. Today is better. I did stretches only yesterday which helped. Today I rode the bike and did hip, knee and glute exercises with Esmond-White on YouTube. Then I did my old PT exercises for the back. It is loosening up.

Denise, you're a Gemini May baby and I'm a Taurus May baby. How was the lake?
I can relate to the exhaustion you are feeling, Becky. That intense cold, change in routines, change in food availability, inability to take a shower, and all the rest really have an effect on your emotional and physical health. Sorry Scooter is still not eating her food. But she seems to be fine with eating scraps and leftovers, so it sounds like she's being picky.
Linda, do all your neighbors have as many plants as you do? Did you do ok with the lava rock?
I hope tomorrow will be the last chiropractor trip Iggy will need to resolve the current issue, Chele. I hope you can get yours stretched out as well. You sound like you're back on track today with exercise. I might do the same Esmonde-White video this afternoon if I feel like it. I may also start cleaning out the closet in the studio. Has your snow melted? We had rain this morning but it's starting to clear up. We are supposed to have a pretty decent weather week. Been a while since I could say that. What about you? I guess you saw that they released all the rescued sea turtles yesterday. Good luck with your grocery trip tomorrow. I'll be doing the same on the way back from the gym, which I decided to start back to tomorrow and increase back to twice a week. BTW, I warmed up leftover eggplant fries in the air fryer and WOW!
Kathy, did you get an exercise plan written up and implemented yet? It's warming up here, so I suppose it may also be warming up there. Hope it's not too humid.
Cleaning day for me and laundry load #1 of 2 is in the washer.

Good afternoon chicks and thank you for the start Karen. Chele - I also hope that tomorrow will be the last time that Iggy needs to see the chiropractor for the current issue. Glad that the stretches helped and that the back is easing up a bit. Do be careful when shopping, not nagging just caring . Zoe got sick to her stomach on Saturday morning and then wouldn't eat. She's been doing better on the Carprofen (anti-inflammatory) which has stopped her from having all four legs go out from under her. Wally had an urgent visit to the vet on Friday with terribly blood red eyes that were closing while laying on the floor. Triple anti-biotic ointment and allergy meds for him and a refill for Zoe of her Cushing's meds. I was very ill on Sat. for some reason, nauseous, light headed and headache. Better some yesterday and not too bad today. May need to do a MRI if not 100% by end of month. Kathy - glad you and mom are doing well. You definitely have the best weather I would presume of the group right now. We had snow today up north and I believe it's turning to mix and then back to snow showers for tomorrow. Way to go on creating a written exercise plan; I'm lucky I get my grocery list written . Hope everyone in the family is doing well and keeping safe! Linda - pretty crazy on the walk-ins on top of the appointments for the vaccine. Your back yard sounds just beautiful! Hope all goes well with the knee shot tomorrow. I'm with you that running out of coffee is not goooooooooooooooooood at all!! Are you getting the Pfizer or Moderna 2nd shot? Sounds like a very busy week for you this week. I'm very glad your DSIL got the appointment here. Was it with the doctor recommended? How's Micki doing? Good luck with getting the car back for the recall; I need to do the same with my Jeep but something always seems to interfere. Karen - how are the hip and pelvis doing? Is that smell from the floors being done fully gone now? I'm sure they look mahvelous!! What's new with MG? I'm glad your friend with Covid seems to be coming along. Were you able to make a confirmed vaccine appointment? We stopped giving them to the staff now on campus and have them available if someone changes their mind up at a mass vaccination clinic we're running at the armory on the West side. Many staff did not avail themselves of the vaccine and that's both disappointing and sad. I have 2 staff out now with Covid and staffing in general with the weather and the virus has been challenging. I have never had eggplant fries; are they crispy on the outside and soft on the inside? I have texture problems with some foods so I am always curious. Neuro appointment went pretty well for virtual once we got the technical stuff sorted. Doc definitely felt it was a concussion even without the CT Scan and wants me to let him know how I'm feeling by month's end. He also gave me a prescription for my migraines which is a first for me and fairly exciting. Denise/Moonriver - glad you had the weekend off and were able to enjoy the lake. How are things at the hospital for you? Becky - I am so grateful you got your power back. Any time the news came on about Texas I thought of you, Kenneth and the fur babies. Are you boiling water? It's amazing to me that things can be so horrific in this time of so many amazing technologies and systems. I was smiling about Scooter as I have gone back to cooking ground turkey for Zoe as it appears to be the only thing she will eat now. I can't not do it as she must have her meds and they are more often than not in her food. Grateful to be working so I can pay my vet bills and keep the dogs eating . I hope things will improve every day and that you and the family are safe and well. I've got to scoot and finish up a few things here in the office. To make things interesting, I went to flip my windshield wipers up when I parked this morning because of the pending snow and one of them fell apart. I didn't have time to mess with it so I threw it in the car and just barely made my train. Should be an interesting ride home from the train station. Take care dear ladies and stay safe!! Ciao for now~

Karen, glad you found a good way to reheat the eggplant fries. We always end up turning the oven on. It rained earlier today. Then the sun came out. We stayed above freezing so we got some good melting going on. There is still plenty of snow on the lawns and rooftops. Enjoy the gym tomorrow but stay safe. I think 1 or 2 more visits for Iggy will do it.
Liz, I am sorry you felt so ill on Saturday and hope the concussion 🤕 resolves soon. Migraine medication is a god send. Poor Zoe. I am glad the meds are helping her. Poor you having to cook her turkey to hide the meds in. I hope Wally’s allergies subside soon. Eggplant fries are crispy on outside and soft inside. We bake them in the oven. Good lick with the windshield wiper.
Linda, glad hour DSIL got an appt with an expert. I hope she gets some encouraging news. Good news on the Hyundai appointment. You work hard in the garden. It should be admired. We have never wanted a pool because of the maintenance.
Waving to Kathy, Becky and Denise.

Chele, how was the grocery trip? Sometimes you just have to listen to your body and stretches are a good thing to do. Glad your back is loosening up. Hope Iggy's appointment goes well tomorrow. Karen, I made an exercise plan for what I want to do this week, but kept it flexible. I knew you'd be asking about it first thing, so figured I better do it! Did you watch Men in Kilts yet? There were some good laughs in this one. They visited the site of several Scottish sports and made an interesting wager which I won't spoil. Next week is music. I also started watching The Luminaries that comes on after Men in Kilts. Interesting, but confusing story so far. It's a period piece set in the 1860s about people immigrating to New Zealand starring Eve Hewson and Himesh Patel. I knew who Eve was, but had to look up Himesh. He was the actor from Yesterday. I knew I recognized him from somewhere! Linda, your oasis sounds wonderful, but a lot of work! Hope your DSIL gets some good news. I was always so envious of people that had a pool when I was growing up, but now I understand why my parents never wanted one. I've never owned one, but my sister's house has one. It is nice, but takes a lot of maintenance. Liz, sorry to hear you were ill on Saturday and hope things improve. Hope the meds help Zoe and Wally. We had rain today and a weak cold front coming through, but it's 70 right now. You might not be envious of us this weekend when it goes up to 89! I'm not ready for it to be that hot. My exercise plan is pretty simple - just a list for the week that I can check off. I almost always just wing it at the grocery store which isn't always the best idea, lol. Stay safe out there and be careful while you're recovering. Becky, I hope things are continuing to improve there. Is Scooter still turning her nose up at her food? I hope she's not holding a grudge. Hope you can get that hot shower and shampoo before too long. Speaking from experience after some of the hurricanes, I know it's miserable being without our modern conveniences and normal routines. Hang in there.

Thanks for the start Karen.
Chele It has been warmer. Scooter will eat her food when she is hungry enough. I am glad you are feeling better. I hope the chiro helps Iggy tomorrow and that you find what you need at the grocery store.
Karen A lot of the exhaustion is coming from too much work to do and not enough time.
Linda Thank you. Today is better. Your neighborhood sounds beautiful. I hope your knee injection helps. That's a lot of appointments. Good luck.
Liz I am glad the inflammatory is helping Zoe. With your furbabies when it rains it pours. I hope both are doing better soon. We still don't have water and are using bottled water. Our well pump is fine but with the power outages it burst at least one pipe. I will be glad when our handyman gets to us. I always thought if Texas ever got substantial snow/ice it would shut the whole state down. Bingo. We have had a lot of help with neighbors and our church family. Other than no water we are doing pretty well. I hope you feel better soon.
Kathy We have been warming up and may get to 80 by Wednesday. Yes she is still turning up her nose at her food only. I am sure you have had your share of inconveniences and that is all it is now. An inconvenience that I can live with for awhile.
