Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good afternoon,
Had a crazy, busy morning. We got a couple of inches if snow overnight. Plow guy called and asked how much snow I got. I told him a couple of inches but not to worry because it will melt by end of week. He said he’d stop by anyway. My car was in driveway so I decided to move it into the garage. Garage door wouldn’t stay shut afterwards so I called company that installed door opener a few years back. They were here within the hour, apparently water collected under concrete, froze and pushed concrete up enough to cause door to think something was in the way. He said he’d adjust the eye so it would close. I asked him to give me a quote for an opener with a battery backup because of power outages we had last year. He said he could install battery on my current opener, had one in truck and proceeded with install. Since I bought the backup, there was no charge for the service call. I also told him I broke other remote, he gave me a new one no charge, Great company, fantastic customer service. I’m going to give them a great review.
Had energy, pulled out towels and cleaning supplies from under sink. Gave a good wash, put some cleaning stuff in basement (too much clutter under sink), washed floor. Tomorrow I plan in taking parents china from upper cabinets to the basement and storing them there, will free up some room in the kitchen. Felt good to get that done.
Doctors office called you see how I was feeling. I am doing better so I’ll see her next month.
Martha - sounds like you’re feeling better.
Everyone, have a great dsy

Took naps both days, one was 4.5 hrs long. I ate some leftovers that had been in fridge for a week. I have cleaned out the leftovers & put food in compost bin. Got groceries on Saturday, long list since didn't go week before. Able to get most of what was on list. I call it good. I've been eating somewhat the BRAT diet. Digestive system hasn't rebelled today so hoping it is a thing of the past. No real menus done for the week but I'm sure we can figure something out.
Sorry that the delivery & remodeling hasn't gone according to plan. I'd suggest taking pictures of what you have had to deal with. When you send letter of complaint, attach copies of pictures.
Lunch time - - (((HUGS)))

Joyce, sounds like you had a busy day off. Your garage door company sounds like a keeper.
Martha, I’m glad you are feeling better. Did you have the flu? Don’t do too much too soon.
Ruth, that is interesting about you not finding the weighted blanket bad, hope that helps you sleep better. I think making the beds as twins (when you can’t get close to the middle to put the sheet on properly) would be hard. It will be interesting to find out what Sandy decides to do with the new mattress.
The foreman/supervisor came yesterday afternoon to help the installer move the furniture back in place. He (foreman/supervisor) kept reminding the installer to go slow around corners, etc while moving the furniture back in place. The installer just worked too quickly. The foreman/supervisor cleaned up a lot of the baseboards and they look much better. He is supposed to come back this afternoon to fix the baseboard that is a real mess (hope he shows up) and do some of clean up but it is already almost 5 and he hasn’t shown up yet. Hope he doesn’t bale on us. We could do some of the cleanup but feel that since the installer rushed so much the mess is due to that.

Good early evening. So happy to see Martha is doing ok and getting back to normal. Slowly but surely!!!
Joy, hope you are doing better too. Nice to get some things done around the house too. I’m with Dottie = your garage door company is a keeper. But the sounds, your snow removal guy is also!!
Dottie, I’d push for them to do the cleanup. You have to keep on some of those people. I’m sending some pictures to the company that did our bathroom floor. We still have spots where the glue is coming up thru the seams and then we get dark spots. Stan, at 75, is just too old to be down on the floor with mineral spirits or whatever trying to clean up the glue. We had them out 3 or 4 times right after they did it and it’s still an issue. Again, the installer did a not great job!
A fairly quiet day today. Stan had blood drawn for his last thyroid online check up with the dr. He is going to have an online meeting with our primary about his frequent trips up at night. I’m so happy he’s getting going on that. I’m worried about his health as I am frustrated by his frequent trips up and down!!! Praying it’s not prostate cancer or something like that!!
I have a couple packages to get ready to mail. Cathy V. wants some of the baby yarn I’m getting rid of, so I need to box that up. And I had hearts made for my sister Carol’s daughter and granddaughters. They are lavender for esophageal cancer; hearts because she is in theirs and they were in hers; and an angel charm because she’s now our guardian angel. Hope they like those. I need to get them ready to go also.
A hockey game to watch tonight. It’s against the Sharks and my OL WW friend who is a Sharks fan and I often text during the game. We may tonight. It’s there so will be a late game here.
So far I’m liking the weighted blanket ok. Afraid it might be too hot in the summer, but with AC who knows. I’m going to give it a week to decide for sure. Older DD had requested one for her birthday and we got her one and she loves it. Our DIL has used one for a couple years.
Not much else going on here. More knitting. And reading. Will be back tomorrow!
