Good Morning! Love, light, and blessings!
Sally thanks for starting us out. I am looking forward to hearing all about your Nora visit.
Hi Nat! Hoping all is well in your world. Hi Carol! Looking forward to hearing about your online workouts! Hi Jan, I think you recommended One for the Blackbird, One for the Crow. I am almost 3/4 through it and am loving it.
Yes I did: get some done on my law projects -- finally got "in the zone". Circuit at the gym. Walk with MF on a new trail. We have been eating too much bread because buying food has been interesting and so I am making stuff that I have the ingredients for which for now is french bread and lots of it. I think I can put off a big grocery run until tomorrow but meals will be interesting. I am doing one load of wash but we are on severe water restrictions through Wednesday. I am giving up my baths (which would be impossible due to the fact that I have left the water in them). We did finally get some mail. Yes I can: wash. some more in the yard. finish this law project. Hopefully spinning class tonight but am not getting my hopes up. I will also do some abs then. Weather is supposed to be gorgeous for a couple of days. God is good. Love, light, and blessings, janet

Good Morning! Love, light, blessings, and good health!
Hi all!
Hey Carol, hooray for taxes being filed -- I am still waiting on some 1099s. Bigger hooray for expanding serenity zone. I am grocery shopping this morning.
Yes I did: stay OP despite pickings being pretty slim. I figured everyone in Central Texas would be at HEB (our supermarket) and was scared to try it yesterday. I did get a load of wash done and take advantage of the gorgeous weather. Spinning class and weights (legs). Most importantly, I got a huge project completed. Then I started the next (even huger) project. Yes I can: yard, supermarket, chores, law. Tonight: circuit class and cardio. Birds singing. Outside breaks and stay off of FB! I finished One for the Blackbird, One for the Crow last night. Very good if you are looking for a read. love light blessings and good health, janet

Good Morning!! Love, light, blessings, and good health.
Another gorgeous day. I have already hung out a load of wash. Yes I did: four walks yesterday! circuit class! yard work! Hit our local supermarket (HEB). Limited dairy at the supermarket but managed pretty much everything else on my list. Unfortunately limited work on law & taxes. Order and pick up a new library book with our local library's curbside. Yes I can: spinning class. Finish wash. Lots and lots of law. Love, light, blessings, and good health, janet

Good Morning! Love, light, blessings, and good health.
I hope everyone is well, a big howdy to each of you.
Yes I did: eat too much bread. But also hit a spinning class. Hoping for better things today: taxes, law, circuit class and cardio tonight. Might try Walmart after workout to try to find almond milk, yogurt, and other stuff that has been unavailable. I am very happy that I got a load of wash done yesterday when we had gorgeous weather for it to dry in. Now, big girl pants and get dressed. Eat cleaner today than yesterday. With groceries still a bit challenging bread is so cheap, easy, filling, and most importantly available. (I have flour and yeast) Love, light, blessings, and good health, janet

Good Thursday morning, positive 🐣🐣!
Wow, it was 55º here yesterday! I had a lovely walk outside...snowpack has been melting away, sidewalks mostly clear for walking. Yay!
Janet - yay for persevering despite many roadblocks! I hope you are able to find some healthy foods today!
Hello to Sally, as she preps for her trip! Yes! Hello to Jan and Nat out west, doing their best! Sending hugs to all!
Back in a jiffy, gotta do my ballroom Zoom...
Be well! Carol

Happy Thursday Late Afternoon. Just realized as I was reading that I have been sort of MIA. Yesterday I parked myself on the office sofa and just read, ate and watched my birdies. I was in a funk! Today I got my Sweetie moving and we took a long ride to Rancho Santa Fe, a very beautiful rural and ritzy neighborhood in Northern San Diego. Picked up Mexican food on the way home, so still not OP. I have a morning beach walk planned tomorrow morning so that is something. Oh, and watched a good Netflix movie...."I Am Woman", the life and career of Helen Reddy. We both enjoyed the movie and sang along to some of her iconic songs. Janet: I really liked "One for the Blackbird, One for the Crow" too. Those novels which have people who are hungry always send me to the kitchen to eat! LOL. Are the stores starting to get restocked again? What a crazy storm you had. Hope everything is drying up and getting back to normal. Carol: High Fives for Tax Return in. I need to do that too but will end up paying so in no hurry. I thought of you this week as I got the shorts and sandals out to wear. Two days in the high 70's and dry. Think it's over though. A Question: Do you have trouble with hawks or crows bothering your smaller birds at your feeder? Sally: Only a few days till Nora cuddles! Nat: Hope all is well, know you're busy. Phone Home ET. We miss you. Jan

Good Morning! Love, light, blessings, and good health.
Carol hooray for 55 degree weather, hope that you got to walk.
Hello Sally! Hello Nat!
Jan hope you had a lovely beach walk. Staying OP has been a real struggle for me as well.
Yes I did: obtain one more 1099, still missing one but talked to the lawyer that owes it to me. I obtained an extension on my big job as well . .. we have an extension here due to that horrific winter storm. I also managed to have one OP day. Circuit class, some cardio, short walk. Gloomy chilly weather here but nothing like last week which was awful. I hit Wal Mart, still no almond milk or yogurt. Shelves still pretty bare. (and roads have been clear a week!) Yes I can: productive law day, taxes, spinning class. I have started beans. Big girl pants and deal with email/snail mail. MF is getting his first vaccine today. I am in "general boarding" and am on every wait list I can get on but probably not any time soon. But, everyone who gets vaccinated puts an end to this nightmare and I am happy. I am really happy he is getting his. Weather rainy for days here, hope that means I get a lot of law done. Love, light, blessings, and good health, janet

Happy Friday, positive 🐣🐣!
Janet - yay for OP day! one at a time gets the job done! Yay for every person who gets the vaccine!
Jan - yay for good partners and singing together!
Sweetie and I just celebrated our 25th anniversary of our first date. Wow! I made a special (non-OP!) meal of sweetie's favorites: broiled lamb chops, sugar snap peas, air fried potatoes. Shared a slice of chocolate cake for dessert. Yummm.
Back later....off to museum display of spring flowers....I need that!
C ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 7pm The museum's flower displays were gorgeous! It really cheered me up! My friend and I made this visit in memory of a dear friend who passed away last year. The last time we saw her was exactly a year ago, when we had lunch at a vegan restaurant and then went to this same museum for the annual display of the "Dutch Connection", lots of potted tulips, narcissus, all kinds of spring blooms, all colors...really beautiful and cheerful. So today, I had a vegan lunch at the cafe and we strolled through the colorful display of spring flowers once again. Yay!
Jan - we do have a few crows in our area although not the huge flocks I see at Old House, which is near the river and a big cemetery with lots of big old street trees, which are much beloved by the crows. I have seen a couple of crows near my feeders here, but I noticed they have been chased away by the squirrels, who are very territorial when it comes to their little feeder dish full of corn. I was surprised to see that drama play out!
Yes I DID --have fun at tap class...'though only 3 of us showed up online today! Maybe it was too nice a day outside, all sunny and bright. --enjoy spending time with a friend, wearing our masks of course. I miss just hanging out, chatting with galpals in person vs. over Zoom. --make a quick trip for groceries for the weekend
Yes I CAN: --count my blessings --be patient

Happy Friday Evening. Carol: Bless your heart for remembering your dear friend. And if there is any reason to cook an non-OP dinner it's to celebrate 25 years of love and friendship with your Sweetie. Congratulations! Attack squirrels...somehow I like that. The crows here are BIG bullies. Janet: Shelves still bare? I guess as a former Grocery worker I know it takes awhile to restock empty shelves. Probably won't be long now though. Hoping life gets better for you soon. I did not sleep well last night. Full moon I guess. Still I made myself get up and go for my planned walk. I'm glad I did because I felt better after that beach walk. More from just talking to my friend than the exercise but they both were beneficial. Another warm day. Short sleeves even on the morning walk, but what we really need is rain. Still in my funk, just no energy which spells depression in my world. I think we all feel this now and then, especially in this pandemic. Will just hang in there. Hi Nat and Sally! Sweet Dreams. Jan

Good Morning!! Love, light, blessings, and good health. Saturday. 2.27.21.
Carol both the first date anniversary dinner and the flower museum sound just wonderful.
Jan the shelves are bare because of the hoarders. HEB is awesome about restocking and getting the trucks in -- people are buying up everything as soon as a delivery hits. I have no love for hoarders. They cannot possibly every use everything they buy and I hate to see food wasted especially at a time like this.
Hi Nat! Hi Sally!
Yes I did: Walks and spin. Taxes and law. My Mom was on a zoom play and MF understands zoom (I avoid it like the chicken pox) and we got to enjoy it in my living room on his lap top. She was the star of the production and so good. We ate fish, beans, salad, and grapes. Fortunately, fish and produce is plentiful. Yes I can: law, taxes, check mail. Put together another OP day. Weights and walk (although possibly with an umbrella). It is supposed to hit 70 with light rain. That is bearable with a good umbrella which I have. I guess put on big girl pants start with email, get dressed, snail mail . . . love, light, blessings, and good health, janet

Happy Saturday.
Just came in from working on the backyard. We both put in a full day trimming, weeding, watering and transplanting. I've been digging up strawberries and dividing them. Day of chores.
Janet: Hoarders...geez! Don't the stores put limits on stuff? I suppose that would make people even crazier. It is a Full Moon weekend right?
Sally: So glad to get your photo text. You both look very happy. This little girl is SO CUTE!
Yes, I can... --walk again tomorrow morning. --pull in the reins on the unhealthy eating. --park my mind in a serene place.
Sweet Dreams,
Jan

Good Morning!! Love, light, blessings, and good health.
Hi Sally! Hi Carol! Hi Nat!
Hey Jan, I think stores are now restocked. MF found me some almond milk, not my usual brand but I am not complaining -- happy to have cereal instead of oatmeal. In fact, I was grateful for oatmeal even though it is not my first choice. Crazy times in Central Texas. Your day of yard work sounds so wonderful. They are telling us not to touch anything for 30 days. We are still not supposed to use water outside so I guess the drizzling is a blessing in disguise. I am hoping to water with the hose and test my irrigation system next week. For now, grateful to have water to wash and flush and even drink!
Yes I did: weights and cardio at the gym. Walk. Get taxes ready for the preparer but almost no law. Mass last night and MF and I are watching Netflix series Away. In outer space so I like it and much drama so he likes it.
Yes I can: walk, gym (chest/back), actually get some law done. Weather too nasty to get into Austin and I imagine that my walk will be with an umbrella. But rain good for all the dying vegetation. Whatever we have was not planted with ten days of ice, snow, very cold temps in mind.
Love, light, blessings, and good health, janet
