Hello and happy Sunday,
Lou, I cannot imagine how happy you are to finally have hot water. That's definitely worth celebrating. Did the boil order finally get lifted? Yes, I was pleasantly surprised that I had no major aftereffects from my adventures in snow shoveling.
Debbie, hooray that the elevator is fixed. I am happy for you that you were able to take a girls' trip. It didn't have to be hours away to be...away. The pics were great. Holy cow, that is a lot of ab exercises.
Brenda, I am so sorry about your DMIL. I am sure that the hospice team helped her a lot, they are a blessing. Many hugs to you.
We had a nice birthday celebration with DS#2 on Monday evening. DSis and I, plus a nice bonus of DNiece being able to join us after her classes were over for the day celebrated with DS#2. It was surreal to actually eat in a restaurant. The staff was fantastic and we all felt safe. Since it was a Monday evening we had no issues with having other parties seated near us. DSis and I were able to spend Friday together. We went to a wildlife farm that is about a 90 minute drive from here. We saw ostriches, deer, wallabies, kangaroos, lemurs, llamas, camels, goats, parakeets, parrots, a gecko, a sloth, bison...and I am probably forgetting some of the critters. We saw some of them as we did a drive through tour and we got to see some as we walked around near the base camp. DSis had wanted to check it out for awhile. She was back in town to finish some personal business and the rest of the things she needed to do to turn her keys in and head back down to Florida to stay. She was able to see a lot of family and friends this past week and had a really nice farewell tour. She is on her way back to her new home and should be able to have dinner with her DH this evening.
We got lucky with the weather this week and the walking gang was able to meet up Tuesday, Thursday and yesterday for outdoor walking. It was fantastic to actually see blue skies and sun yesterday for awhile before rain moved in later in the day.
Back to work tomorrow after an early dental appointment. I finally was able to get in to have my crown permanently sealed after the root canal fun of a few weeks ago.
DH is nearly back to his usual self after being ill. Indiana opened the 60 - 65 age group for COVID vaccinations on Tuesday. He has an appointment for his first shot on March 9. Happy dance time!
Waving to Vicki and Lori, I hope that you are both doing well.
Take care,
Ginia
