Good morning,
Cloudy and currently 32; the high for today will be 37. Expecting a mixture of some snow & rain this afternoon.
I have a manicure appointment this morning with a new person as my regular girl is out sick. I would wait but my nails are too long for me to function.
The testing sites were closed yesterday so DD hasn't been tested. She says she is going today. In my area they are closed on Mondays I hope she checks. I would have been there on Friday.
Glad to hear Penny got to FL safely and is happy with her choices in the house.
Have a great day, stay warm& safe!

Betty - What a joy in getting to hold your 3 week old GGD.

I am chasing dust as well today. Did start last night with the TV/ fireplace console. I can see the dust better then. Even wiped off the screen of the fireplace. The kitty hair gets on that. Not a real fireplace so none of the ashes etc. But does put out heat if I so choose. And I have chosen that a lot in evening. Batch of clothes in washer and one in dryer. I got the new drying rack yesterday. It is really nice even has pegs for couple pair of shoes. Will be nice for my tennies in the summer. I have dealt with ratty drying racks for years and decided to just get a good one. Didn't even have to put it together as it just all folds up easily and unfolds that way. Hooray. So many of my new sweaters say dry flat. Now I can.
Hope Penny's foot is doing okay and she is getting off it as much as she can. It was chilly in Florida. Is it still Peggy? My friend was freezing over on the Gulf Coast. But then she is no longer a northerner after too many years in Florida . I do tease her about that all the time.
We are to be in upper 20's and possible low 30's today. So far not there yet but then I did get up very early this morning. Not sure why. Still in red pj's though. Seems good not to have to rush to get dressed anymore. Had my cup of tea quite awhile ago and thinking my Vanilla Latte now from the Keurig. Had a hard time finding it lately but amazon finally had it. only 6 pods in a box so will be a special treat.
Got new picture of Charlie, she is gaining weight and so alert when she is awake. Taking in the world. Mommy and Daddy say very good baby. sleeps good and no signs of colic or digestive issues. that's good. Poor Elias had a very rough time for a short period. Took Mom and Dad a long time to get some good sleep.

Good morning. Heading out soon for DH podiatry appt. Had a couple inches of snow yesterday so hope the roads are in good shape. Have to stop at the pharmacy after that.
Temp suppose to get up to 40 this afternoon. Some of this snow should melt, I hope. Our snow guy came late last night to clean the driveway but didn't do the patio. Probably didn't want to disturb us or figured it was too dark in the backyard. I'll do that later.
Penny, hope you're doing well in Florida. Don't overdo..... Got DGS project done yesterday but he hasn't picked it up yet. Hope it's ok.
Better get some shoes on so I'm ready to go.

Morning All!
Lin I want you to know I was salivating over your plants and flower descriptions yesterday! I want to play in dirt so bad!!!! Petunias are one of my favorites – they do get leggy after a good run, but I don’t care. In spring they make me feel like color has come back into my life. I am definitely a purple petunia person. Love the deep dark, velvety purples mixed in with the soft lavender pastels and maybe some really pale yellows…. The old Easter colors! It can hurt – all that planting, but the results make it all worthwhile…
OK Peggy Sue, now I’m really jealous – those wonderful warm temperatures, well you two make me feel a bit hopeful, that this blasted winter is on its way out…..
I have to make a quick run to the bank – does anyone else have trouble not having the denominations of bills you need? Like I tip the Shoprite delivery person $10 for carrying in my groceries, or I need $5 bills to pay the hairdresser lady – stuff like that. I guess I don’t go out enough to have a healthy variety from regular, every day shopping, so every once in a while I have to go to the bank and stock up on the denominations I need. I also use my credit card mostly for everything, so cash doesn’t exchange hands as often as it used to. Well I have to make one of those runs today. I have a hairdresser appointment tomorrow (thank goodness) and I just don’t have the bills I need.
After my short run, I’m coming home to start the dishwasher and continue taking my desk apart. I started yesterday, but got side tracked (like the joke – you start here, then move to there and never get back to where you started.
Marilyn that’s wonderful that you are able to help your daughter out like that. Purchasing property out there can only be a wise investment and you are able to help your daughter at the same time. Property costs here are through the roof, rent and purchases alike. It’s so hard for anyone younger to grab hold of the American dream. Hard times to be young these days.
Betty so glad you got to hold the baby! What a precious thing new life is! And to know that somewhere in that little person is a part of you and your genes. Hey, what’s better than that!
Penny hope you got your internet and cable up and running!
Emily enjoy your manicure – what color are you heading for? I like the lighter colors – I think the darker colors make my hands look more wrinkly – just my hand paranoia…..
Hope everyone has enjoyable day!

Dayle - my color this time is mauve. A young man did my nails and I was done in 40 minutes. When the usual girl does them it takes her an hour & 15 minutes. I went 5 weeks this time and could have gone longer. We will see how long his manicure holds up.

Hoping Penny found good things in the pod.
Dayle, I have purple and purple striped petunias now well established in big pots where I see them washing dishes! The red ones are 20 feet further back. This is my reward for suffering May through September.
Definitely not working those muscles today.
Ran out and picked up Micki's probiotic and food and a couple things at nearby Safeway. Running out if coffee is soooo not good. Then painter came to estimate a series of small jobs like the steel security doir rusting in bottom, peeling metal door on sun blasted west side of garage, etc.
finally have recall appt on the Hyundai problem that sets fire to cars ...actually only been 12. Our area has a run on robbers cutting off catalytic converters on cars left outside ...even Hime Depot parking lot while shopping. YMCA half mile away had all its busses cut.
This month started out quiet and went nuts. This week has totally got out of hand. Tuesday is last knee shot plus a glucose check on Micki in afternoon, and DH wants to go to GERman places between. Wed. The car goes for repair. Thursday DH has dentist Am and I see dermatologist for six month melanoma check ( been ok since 2001). Friday we get shot two for COVID in a car drive thru and now an irrigation repair visit pm because the yard is getting very mushy in one end after only nine minutes of water...leak? Drat. No idea when the painter will do the two days. March calendar looks so nice and empty.

Hello again. Lin, don't know how you keep up with everything. I had to call this morning to find out when Daves podiatry appt was. I knew it was today but forgot the time. Didn't write it on the calendar which is a mistake for sure. Found out that because Dave is diabetic our insurance will pay for a pair of shoes every year. Today he had foot molds done and picked out shoes. Can't remember the brand but the samples they have in the reception area sure look nice.
Stopped at McD for lunch. My choice because I wanted my one Shamrock Shake. I limit myself to one each spring. It was so good.
Had an e-mail from my friend (the one with the brain tumor). Said we will get together soon. They are very busy right now with family and appointments.
Heat wave here today. High of 42 which is 42 degrees warmer than it was last Monday. Still a chill in the air. Ozzie and I walked a little and then between Dave and I we cleaned the patio and I fed the squirrels.
Appraiser came today rather than tomorrow as scheduled. He looked at his calendar wrong. Not a problem although I had planned on cleaning up a bit expecially in my sewing room. Oh Well...

Everything goes on the kitchen calendar immediately on phone or card in hand as soon as we get home. This is just kind of a very odd month! Not times you want to go places or see people.
remmber that old movie If it's Tuesday it must Be Belgium?

Good evening everyone
Busy day. Hubby went and picked up tax stuff and paid them. I did some housework.
Exterminator was here and found rats in attic. Yuck. This has never happened. Wednesday tech is coming out to set traps in attic and garage, seal all holes, put screens on T- pipes on roof, attach a rubber door threshold on door from garage to side of the house. He will come once a week to check the traps.
He said thinks they are getting in from a/c condenser fridge line going into attic the a/c guy didn’t screen the opening well. Not going to let a/c company know because we really like the installer. But we will let him know when he comes here in June to service the unit. No proof that’s exactly how they got in and he will get into trouble.
Hubby needs to prune a tree near the house. That sucks since that is one of the ones being removed for block wall. Hopefully he can do it because it’s high. On the other side of the house we need to lower height of four shrubs to 5’. They are 7’ now. I think I can do those. But both of us will be out there tomorrow.

Roof rats are a major plague. The squirrels of the desert. The whole Phoenix valley is rife with them. They moved here expanding out from your area! The exterminators will get it done.
finished Bridgeton on Netflix...soap opera with sex Jane Austen. The Duke absolutely smolders. He was on SNL last weekend with audience swooning.
