This thread is for all of us who have been on the weight loss merry-go-round quite a few times. We have banded together to make this our FINAL time. We offer support & motivation, WEIGHT LOSS TIPS, food ideas – whatever you need to make it your FINAL time. If you start the day’s thread, please copy and paste this paragraph, with the following 2021 Goals:
Carole: 1.) Journal Daily, thoughts, feelings, ideas 2.) Track daily, Good, Bad, Ugly, HONESTLY 3.) Move every day, 10-30 minutes, as able 4.) Limit/Reduce Alcohol, All of it! 5.) Be thankful for something - every day.
Gabrielle: 1. Wellness--take steps each day to address better wellness (moving, attention to my eating, getting sleep, etc.) 2. Debt-- continue to take steps to eliminate debt (including the kids college debt that we are covering) so that I have no debt when I retire 3. Connectedness-- each month have a plan to stay connected to those who I care about (maybe dinner once/month after COVID, Zoom, phone calls, etc.) 4. Creativity -- seek out projects that keep me using the creative side of my brain (knitting, paint parties?, etc.) 5. Journaling/Self-Awareness--find a way to journal my thoughts and to think through challenges and opportunities
Sue: 1. Get moving - plan to utilize my Cubii 3-5 times per week at least 2. Moderation - limiting junk, snacks, wine and all things I know that sabotage my success 3. Daily Gratitude - continue our November daily gratitude. 4. Start a journal - my "Life & Apples" journal will arrive later in the week. 5. Be more "present" - in life, in my journey, with family & friends, in all aspects of my world.
Jenny: 1) I'm moving to a clean eating plan like more veggie dishes and less red meat. 2) I pulled out my Bob Harper from the Biggest Loser's " Yoga for weight loss Dvd" and do that in the evening since it's pouring down rain here. 3) Cut way back on the wine at nights, they sell those tiny little bottles that have 5oz in them and limit myself to only 1-2 per day, that can work right? 4) Track everything even if I'm in the negatives and hold myself accountable.
Christine: 1. Cardio exercise daily (walk, stationary bike) 2. FOLLOW the WW Plan using Honesty. 3. Daily gratitude - Say something NICE each morning
Karen: 1. Take one step at a time and be kind to myself. 2. Move by getting my kayak on the water at least one day per week... it will be more as the weather warms. 3. Stick to my intermittent fasting schedule. 4. Try to sleep reasonably.
Shelly 1. Be more organized at work. Never leave with stuff on my desk 2. Be there for people when they need someone to lean on 3. Stick with WW plan!!! No matter what!!!! 4. Be a better influence on those around me

Good Morning! Its been more than a couple of days since I've been here. I really trying to connect every day but you know, life. Things have been going ok...... My back STILL hurts. I don't want to go to my Doctor about it but it looks like I may have to. My MRI was rescheduled for this Thursday as they wantvto add dye. It was the only way my health insurance would pay for it. If it help I'm fine with it.

Good morning!
Track Tuesday it is today....and chilly this morning but clear and the pretty full moon--I am looking forward to that. Where we run is quiet and safe and it makes it nice to enjoy the beautiful early morning sky. Take Charge Tuesday--I am still sticking with my tracking and proud of that. It has been good to use MFP just to see the balance of fat/carbs/protein that I eat each day. I have thought about it, but not tracked it before so I am appreciating the information. It is still looking to be a dry week here ---and the afternoon yesterday was amazing. About 59 degrees but sunny ---I look forward to today when we might hit the low 60's.
Sue: LOL about Jason's "driveway clearing" technique--I would NEVER question Jason--I know that he probably would have tried everything and have found the best way. But, when it is your DAD, well.....love that you sent the video though. Let the conversation continue! So glad that you are taking it easy on the overtime. I think that there might be a thin line between being SO tired that it isn't worth it and being just enough. I made our tax appt yesterday--we will have it on 3/19. We will drop off our paperwork the day before and then be on Zoom with the accountant for our appointment. I like him--he isn't too conservative, but is when he should be. LOL, I remember that you are not a fan of tofu and mushrooms. I press the tofu for about 30 min before cutting it up into cubes and browning it--it makes a big difference in the texture. But mushroom texture can't be changed! Interesting about the shot reaction....I would say about 80% of the people I know have had a reaction. But most of them are 55 and younger ---I am wondering if age plays a factor too. Here in CA, a lot of people under 55 have had the shot (medical personnel and educators). Regardless, still worth it! Hope that you have a good day--love the photo of the gentleman in the parking lot at work (I saw it on FB but couldn't see it here).
Carole: I hope that you are okay? Maybe just need to have some slower mornings now?

Jenny: Wow, that really is a lot of days off in a row...I am with you--I crave some kind of "normal". Glad that you had enough time off that you are looking forward to returning It sounds like your weather is similar to ours! Getting very Spring-like. I really love Firefly Lane as well. I force myself to only watch one episode at a time to make it last longer Hope that you have a good day today!
Karen: Glad that you had a nice weekend. I confess to watching the beginning of the video--only because I wanted to see what DSIL looked like (about how old, etc). I am glad that you stopped watching it. Hugs to you.
Shelly: Good for you for getting your workout in! I hope that the headache goes away.
Jo: Uggh. Back pain is awful--I hope that it goes away once you start moving around. I am sure that it will be good to have the MRI over with after this week. Hope that you are on the road to recovery soon.
Hello to Christine, Lisa, and all who follow. Time to get a move on. Not sure about later, but might check back in. Hope that we all can feel in charge today!

Good morning Sue - Thanks for starting us off this morning... TAKE CHARGE TUESDAY - Hoping the weather is taking a turn today! Then maybe I can too! Not doing too good at taking charge this week - but will try to refocus today!
We got maybe another 2-3" of snow (I think). I have yet to get out there to move it - I just don't want to! I am feeling very frustrated with it all! Hoping (as I said) If the weather changes today, I can get myself out there again - and hope it helps this funk I am in!
First I will try to catch up from Sunday!
Gabrielle: I hope the workshop was a good one for you. I cannot imagine being on a Zoom with 500 people! Sounds like a productive Sunday for you! I know you were ready to tackle the week ahead! Thanks my friend ~ I do need to add something to my weekends! I have realized if there is no plan, the day is pretty much a waste! We did get to HD to return the rug - now on to a whole NEW fiasco! They gave me credit for the gift cards I had used- in the form of STORE CREDIT... not online credit, so now when I go to order the NEW rug, I can't use the credit! I am beyond angry at this store. I was on live chat with HD last night - during dinner... then POOF Internet went out - so that chat was "lost"... I was just not up to trying it again! I don't feel it's fair, that I placed an order on line, and used REAL gift cards, then returned it and got store (only) credit... when the store never has what I am looking for! UGH! HA! Yes, it is definitely ALL ABOUT THE FROSTING! Zoë even ate a pancake with chocolate frosting on it! I never knew a 4 year old that wouldn't eat a pancake! Trust me, the frosting on a pancake won't be an every week thing!
Sue: Yes the DEI Training was quite boring. I did "wander" around the dining room table a few times, but not enough to get my steps. Thanks Sue - I hope no one leaves the thread ~ I love catching up with you all and having a safe place to vent! LOL As well as listening to you all - and being able to meet some of you for real.
Oh dear... yeah, gotta love when the PC freezes or (in my case) the internet drops, right when you are in the middle of something! Glad the tax payments are not too high. I am still mildly concerned, but Ken says he doesn't think we need to worry... I still will, until they are DONE and I know for sure what we owe! Sounds like a low key but productive Sunday for you too! Tracy kind of took over my kitchen first thing Sunday morning - so unfortunately that threw off my whole day! Then Ken was "in my way" most of yesterday - around work - so today I will get to my veggies and salad!
OH No.... I mean I get it - I wouldn't want to introduce my friends to Amanda either, but she's his mother! That poor boy - to be so conflicted!! Thank goodness he HAS Josh & Sarah for a more "safe" family unit!
Hoping you are sending that sunshine my way! We are already at 35, but still gray and "dismal" looking out there.
WOW Christine - Jason and Ken with the knees! Ken is talking about calling his doctor, not sure he can wait another year until he retires. This winter has been tough on his! He already knows he needs a TKR, but was hoping to put it off. NOW just to wait and see IF/WHEN he calls about it! LOL I am not holding my breath! I am sort of hoping the sun will clear our patio this time - not sure I have it in me today to get out there and push it away again! I probably will make myself do it - but MAN I am tired of it all! Jeff just came and plowed the driveway, so that should melt off good IF the sun comes out. It was already mostly bare before yesterday's mess!
OK Caught up on Sunday - will have to come back later - time to clock in.

Gabrielle: Thanks for starting us off yesterday, hmmm, maybe if I had come here in the morning, I would have had a better shot at Making it a Great Monday! I'm pretty sure it's (mostly) the weather that is getting to me right now... even more than the Covid/Isolation. Then I see friends of mine "traveling", and wonder Why Not? Other than my work quarantine - I think I am ready to just DO IT!
I mean, no matter where we go - if we wear our masks, and distance, how is being in SC any different than being in MA? It is wearing me down!
Anyway... YAY for concentrating on HOME Sunday - you need that every once in a while! Don't you have people you can delegate to do some of the training and planning and work-work that you do??
Well Like I said, Ken had 0 reactions/symptoms after his 2nd shot, so yes, it is possible!
Tracy is feeling good about her WW so far. She is down some weight - and she is tracking diligently! Thanks for asking ♥
Karen: {{{{{HUGS}}}}} I would be just like you - yup, I'd have watched too, if I could! SO Sorry that your parents and sister are doing this to YOU, to your other kids... to themselves, really... YAY for Emily, blocking them all! I get it - I'd not want to block them, like my work "friends" I just unfollow... then I can check on what they are up to when I want! But their "stuff" isn't thrown in my face!!
I don't blame the other kids for feeling hurt... I'm hurt for them! I am also ANGRY - for you... I know, it doesn't help, but MAN this makes me angry. !
Jenny: I need a good old fashioned baked potato in the oven sometimes! I like the crispier skin!
Hey me too - I watched a few minutes, but wanted to jump up and scream at that arrogant SOB! Not to mention Karen's own mother and father! YAY for looking forward to getting back to work!
Sue: WOO HOO for better temps - we hit 43 today! Sunny, but not FULL-ON-SUNSHINE, but it was OK. LOL Today is Banana Bread Day and (of course) my sister brought us banana bread! I'd love it "toasted"... I put a slice in the toaster, but I worry it is going to crumble when I pull it out! LOL Air Fryer IS on the plan, but still thinking about what kind I want. Most of the reviews on the Emerill one are good, but the few that mention how "hot" it gets, worry me a little.
Sugar o Snow is actually boiling the maple syrup down even more... to get it to soft ball stage ( I think soft, maybe hard- I'll have to check) anyway... then you ladle it in a nice strip on the pan of (real) snow... it hardens on the snow and is so yummy to eat! PURE NATURAL SUGAR! LOL Maybe you'd call it "taffy", I wouldn't, because I only know it as sugar-on-snow. The worst part about it (other than the calories) is that fine line of being "done" and "over done"! Yeah, the rug was 100% cotton! I have never heard of a 9X12 rug being that flimsy! It went back Sunday!
I do sheet pan fajitas, but never really went any further with sheet pan meals. Oh I love the one pan idea - trust me, that's a game changer!
Oh I'd take either time - as long as we wouldn't have to CHANGE any more! The days will naturally get longer - they already are... so with or without DST we'd still have longer daylight.
UGH I'm with Hannah! LOL IF we even WALK on the snow before it's shoveled, it packs it down too much! Then it is difficult to remove at all! God forbid the sun doesn't shine good after that! That's why I will always have my plow guy plow, even just a few inches... it melts SO much better when not packed down!
Shelly: What a difference a few days makes huh?? 60s now?? I sure could use 60 right now! Hope the headache subsided, and you woke up feeling better. I assume with the better weather Dh is back to work this week??

Sue: YES! I DID TAKE CHARGE Today - I got the produce out of the fridge and got my salad bar dish all set for the week! Now I only have to pull out the bowl of lettuce and the plate of other fixin's and have a nice fresh salad for lunch! I filled my PC Serve-n-Store or whatever it's called. It holds a ton of cut veggies and I can make my salad fresh each day! Today I had one with chicken and egg on it. Tasted really good for a change! It's been a while!
Jo: Sorry you are still in pain - but glad the MRI is this week. Hoping for good answers for you! {{{hugs}}}
Gabrielle: WOO HOO for TRACK Tuesday for you! UGH You too??? Such nice weather already - I am very envious!!
LOL Actually I think I need LESS slower mornings, as it kind of sets a bad precedent for the day! I am falling back into the not caring if I am dressed and ready for work any more!
OK I need to get moving... leftovers for dinner so no real work to do. I got my laundry and dishes done earlier, so tonight is a lazy night!
Oh yes, I also went out and got 31 active minutes, moving snow again! The sun felt good, it wasn't too cold - but I am still SICK of SNOW! So there was my 30 minutes of moving, and 8 of 10 dots for the day... so today was more normal!
I should get back on line and try to deal with the rug fiasco, but don't have it in me to do it tonight. Might let it go - knowing we will need lumber this spring to do a small deck on the front of the house, can use the store credit then. It still just ticks me off - that they gave me STORE CREDIT for Gift Cards that I had used! UGH Gotta let it go...
Will try to check in tomorrow morning - early to bed tonight, just because!
♥hugs♥

Good evening ladies!
Carole: It helps me to know that you get angry with and for me! I am not crazy... like I believe DD is telling folks.
Sue: I like the I AM IN CHARGE... I have (this week) been able to feel a bit more in charge of my own "stuff." For one thing, I decided that I was moving the photo that DSIL had taped to his computer monitor of him and DD. If I have to teach in there every day I shouldn't have to teach (literally) over that photo from behind the computer. Now, I expect something will be said and he may put it back... but I will not have it there being thrown in my face while I'm teaching. If necessary I will tell the powers that be that it causes me anxiety and gets in the way of me being able to perform my job to the best of my ability. (That may sound small... but I really have been trying hard to just "play nice" and it has not done me any good... so I am done.
Gabrielle: If you had watched the video all of the way through you could have heard them leave to the theme from Star Wars (?!?) played on the organ. Oh my!
Today I had a massage after school. It was glorious. Tonight I have had some sweet quiet time in my home... without even the television on! Peaceful.
Jo: Speaking of massages... I would certainly suggest that for help with your back. Mine killed me for months and I stopped sleeping in our bed for quite awhile. But... my massage therapist has done WONDERS... and a new bed didn't hurt either!
I sure do appreciate all of you!
