I'm IN.
ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅π
A milder, melt-y day is forecast. Let's see if I can keep MY day mild... and productive... and not melt-y (or is it melt-down-y).
Coffee... βοΈβοΈβοΈ... and breakfast...
πππππππππππππππ Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! πππππππππππππππ

40 this morning, getting up to around 75 this afternoon. What a difference a week makes.
Coffee! Funny, growing up, we had Folgers -sometimes instant (if my grandmother was in charge lol) or perked if my mom was in charge. I loved the smell of coffee perking in that big stainless steel percolator. We had Maxwell House as "guest" coffee.

I'm IN. What a difference a week makes. 46 degrees when I woke up and we'll probably get up to 77 this afternoon. I'll take it!
I left the house early this morning to go to the grocery store. I had stayed away for a week because of the weather and the crowds. Well, the two stores I went to are still not fully stocked. Reminds me of last year in the early days of the pandemic. It's like a scavenger hunt to find things. Still missing at my HEB and Wal-Mart: milk, eggs, bottled water, most breads, most sodas, most canned goods. Sigh, I'll give it a few more days and try again.
ETA: my HEB is being reorganized. They started this project 3 weeks ago and it will be ongoing for 3 more weeks. It seems every aisle is being moved to other aisles so it's even harder to search for products. I'm trying to be patient but I'll be glad when the dust settles so I can relearn where to find things.

linda72 I know it's crazy! I was working on a Walmart pick up list and by the time I was done making the list 1/3 of the stuff was now out of stock. π When I went to order stuff at Sam's 4 of my 6 usuals were out of stock. Even bananas, they always have a bazillion bananas. π

DebDoesWW, DotRen, borntexan I'm not ready to say we're done with freezing weather. I've heard hints and whispers about mid-March and the possibility of another shot of arctic air then. You know, in the middle of Spring Break! I'm keeping my fires lit and my prayers going that this hint is wrong!

I'm in. Coffee in hand. My mother's first percolater was made of glass. *insert bulging eyes emoji*
It's warming into the forties here today and should help to melt more of this snow. Got another 4 inches yesterday.
Glad to hear our Texas peeps are enjoying warmer weather. Hope the stocking problem gets resolved quickly.
Enjoy the day!

Hi all, We got about 4 inches of snow yesterday but the roads cleared off fast. I was able to get to my Dr. appointment and home with no problems.
It was a new rheumatologist and he seemed to really listen to me. I've been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis for 30 years (when I was 17 it was juvenile rheumatoid), but have never tested positive for anything. They've also said I have fibromyalgia, lupus and Sjogren's syndrome "type symptoms". But again, never tested positive for anything so they just treated symptoms and left it at that.
This guy is doing a huge battery of tests at a special lab that only does autoimmune stuff. He said the only joint damage I have is from the "mechanical issues" of my CP and bones being crooked. I've heard that before.
So right now he thinks I have fibro, NOT rheumatoid and is testing for other things. I'm just hoping he can find a path to treat me and not just throw things at me and hope something sticks.
Stay safe and warm everyone

Good morning.
It's been snowing for a couple of hours now but it is weird---35 degrees, heavy snow, and melted stuff dripping off the table on the deck. Forecast calls for rain later so I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens when all of this is over with.
My sister in Texas got a notice on her door that the water is okay now, all clear, so she is doing the happy dance.
DH is going to get the curbside grocery pickup this afternoon and that's about it for our busy day. Binge watching "The Last Kingdom" on Netflix will continue this evening.
Have a good day, everyone!

Happy Tuesday! Coffee is always a necessity in the morning! I can't tolerate anyone if I don't have any! My sweet 17 year old kitty KC went to the rainbow bridge on Sunday. She had started to decline over the past week and I had made the decision to call the vet on Monday to schedule an appointment for her, but she had other ideas. She live a long and happy life. So now we are down to three dogs (Olive, Oakie, and Omni) and one cat (Cyclone) and then my daughters two cats (Alonzo and Chewy). I'm glad all of you in Texas are thawing out! I went to yoga this morning and it felt soooooooooooo gooooood! I hope you all have a GREAT day! Positive energy to all!
