I lost a long post, so I am going to make this short. I really don't know what happened, I went to hit the create thread button and a blank screen came up saying drop files...?? The post I had typed was gone.
Marlene, did you get the cookies made? It seems when I don't get a good night's sleep, I don't feel like doing anything all day.
Phyl, how did you hearing aid meeting go?
Busy the next 2 days...need to run to town early this morning, for last minute things from Woodman's, then all the pre cooking starts.
Tomorrow should be a good game, I am expecting the Pack to beat the Vikings...GO PACK GO!!!
Like everyone else I am busy today but not stressed. Had to make a trip for some grocery items & would you believe I came home with no meat? Maybe I am stressed.
I'm making a snack recipe this afternoon that a volunteer friend in TX gave me several years ago. Her was so good so I'm hoping this turns out the same. Expensive stuff to make & it makes a huge amount. I ended up mixing it in a garbage bag .....clean one! Needs to be baked in the oven at 200 degrees for an hour so I may be at this till bedtime - not really.
The cookies got frosted yesterday - YEAH! And I bought more stuff to make another kind of sugar cookie that I really like. DS is gobbling up the PB. Its great to have the guys eating everything - better on their ribs then my hips.
Thought we were to have snow this afternoon but no sign of any yet. Would be nice to have a white Christmas instead of this crappy dirty stuff.
Back to my food prep. Going to make a pumpkin pie today too. DS & I love it - well maybe the whipped topping is what we really like:) The only time I make it is during the holidays.
Marlene, I swear you and I are twins!!! Teehee...I went to the store this morning, along with the suburb of Howard, where Woodman's is actually located. (About a half mile from the border of Green Bay) I was just trying to beat the snow that was supposed to come this afternoon, well duh, what is up with my mind?? Of course everyone else was shopping, because tomorrow is Christmas eve! Since we don't do anything on Christmas eve, but all the prep work for Christmas day, I was befuddled as to why it was so crowded! Then I went to Uncle Mike's Bake shop, for a donut for DH and I. OMG! Thank God they were using a number system! It was so packed! When I went in there, they were serving #67, I took a number, and it was 88!!! I have never seen so many people crammed in a bakery!! But this bakery keeps winning the Best of the Bay awards, year after year...love going there, but it is a treat...since it is a bakery. Made banana bread this afternoon, along with the dressing for Sunday. DH said the dressing is super! YAY!
It did start snowing here, right when the weather guys predicted...2 pm. It is still snowing. I am starting to get tired of the shoveling...even tho DH snow blows...I do spots that is better shoveled than blowed. Oh well...need to look at it as A.P's!!! Lost .04# this week, so that was a gift!!! January 2nd is when I will be buckling down, back to the Y, and back to tracking!
Ok, I will wrap up now....MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL...(I will get us going both tomorrow and Christmas day, just in case...plus I am hoping to brag on my Packers!!)
Karen, I may have beat you - I went to the store TWICE! Got all the ingredients to make a "can't stop eating" mix & totally forgot the important stuff like MEAT! Just got home for the second time. Yes everyone & their brother was grocery shopping today. Why didn't you get me something from the bakery? Doesn't mattter that I have a kitchen full of goodies.
We now have big wet snow flakes!! Why after dark? - I can't see them. Was so pretty when we came home.

In a world where you can be most anything - be kind.
Marlene, this bakery is well known in the area for their Sea Salt Caramel Pecan kringles. It looked like everyone was picking up their orders of them. They had a display case full of donuts, which is weird for them, usually they sell out. But today it was all about special orders. About going to the store twice, I would if we did not live about 20 miles from town!! HAHAHA!!!
I have spent the last few hours watching christmas shows from The Waltons, and Little House on the Prairie. Almost time to hit the hay with my kindle! Tomorrow will be a busy cooking/getting the garage ready day.
I am very late. we were out shopping. I Have a dear grandson who didn't let his mom know till last night what he would like for Christmas.
marlene we got that snow. It started about 10.30 small flakes and got heavier and wetter as the day went on.they are telling everyone if you don't have to go out tonight stay home.
on my way to the chiro this am I saw a car on fire. you can read about it on roll call if you want. long post.
mitch is sending my aids back to the company and telling them to send new ones . these have been lemons. they are not miracle ear ones .the company makes these for m.e.
I was going to make cookies. jeana says don't they have been eating junk. carrier's mom made cookie when they came last week. jeana said they only ate two so will bring them. so christmas day is a small brunch. quice, susages, and fruit. then later ice cream and cookies.
I don't know if it was dry skin or if I cut myself wrapping last night.my right thumb back where your nail begins, outside of thumb, had a piece of hang nail that was very sore .even bleed a little.so at the mall I went to the nail place and the guy was very nice and tirm it for me.it was tough so it must have been dry crack skin. he did not charge me.phyl
personal challenge is: get to the y more often. like 4-5 days a week.
