Well... back to square one on looking for someone to help me around here... lol the girl did not show up. .. Didn't even bother to call.. so guess she doesn't want the job.. and besides now I don't want her.. proves to me her word is not to be trusted.. I have a hard time with people who don't do what they say and aren't considerate enough to call..
I think Sandy may just be too tired to do anything, remember she just got the second vaccine... and she had that fall.. surely do hope shes ok... sometimes other things come up too which keeps us from posting.
I got my bread maker yesterday but didn't open the box till today.. just bought a small one. I'm anxious to start using it.. I used to make all my own bread.. wonder if this will be easier.. ?
Did another cupboard.. the kind with the slide out drawers... took out the trash and washed the dishes.... can't remember what else but I was busy the whole day.. almost.
Did any of you read the message from por boards about needing donations?
Jenny

Yesterday I really just rested as the pain in my back was much less. I have had no reaction to the second vaccine at all except for a sore arm but after two days even that was gone. In my back I just have one small area that is still sore but bearable.
Fred got an e-mail from Panera that they were giving him $10 off any order so he decided to get one of their flatbread pizzas and definitely won’t get that again. Just did not like it and one was almost $10. It was big enough for two but just not to our liking at all. He said for less money we can get Domino’s pizza and enjoy what we’re eating!
Temps got near 60 yesterday with sun so a lot of the snow melted. I think it’s going to stay around 40’s the rest of the week.

Hi!
Names for March
Blustery March Lion or a Lamb – Lucy, Molly Winter Going Gone Spring is Coming Soon! – Kathie
I'll close voting Saturday, Feb 27, so everyone will see the new name on Sunday, the 28th.
Today a cold wind was blowing, but we got our waffle, and then picked up our grocery order. Now,, our supplies are caught up to the point where I feel comfortable. I remember my Mother canning from our garden and filling the shelves on the back porch with her jars. As a child, we grew all our produce. We had an apricot tree, a peach tree, and pear trees. We traded with a neighbor who had apples. So the back porch held jars of vegetables and fruit that Mother used through the winter months. Potatoes were stored under the porch. I think her work influenced my thinking so I only feel that we are food secure with a full pantry. I'll bet lots of us had similar experiences.
Jenny, I hope you enjoy your bread machine as much as I do mine. What I like about it is that I don't put anything in that causes me issues. It's just a basic loaf. I like the starter, too, for the same reason. I made sausage muffins this week and they were very good and better for me as they were not so sweet. With scrambled eggs, they make a really good breakfast. I love this starter! Molly, I bless you every time I use it! Sandy, falls cause a lot of trouble for us. Prayers that you are back normal soon. Sounds like you are almost there. Glad the shot didn't cause a reaction that knocked you back. Lucy, I hope that by the time this north wind gets to you, it will be easier.
Today, I am hoping the cold front will have moved through before I go to the oncologist. I go in the middle of the afternoon -- just for a 6 month check with the PA. Of course, they'll have to draw a bunch of blood for the testing before they send me up to the doctor's office. Fun!
Hugs! Diane

Jenny: I did read the message from Pro-Boards but I'm glad you mentioned it because I had not clicked on the line last night for the message to come up and didn't figure it out last night at all. I'm not sure what to do about it yet. I guess my brain doesn't work too well at night. Not sure it will work well today either because I had less then 4 hrs. of sleep today too. I think Jim have his days and nights mixed up at the moment. Hoping today will be a better day than yesterday. Sandy: Glad you are OK... It is 40 degrees here at 7AM....was colder when I got up. I wonder it it will be in the 80's again today....I have to food shop today.
See you all later!

I am not sure about the note from ProBoards. If you pay you don't get any ads, but isn't how they keep going. Guess I need that part explained to me. I am undecided, I really like our message board, but like to know how to delete old posts and threads, some are years ago. I am not very techy and when I try Help sometimes it just gets too confusing for this old brain. I don't mind a small amount to keep in touch with all of you. thought about how it would be if we lost the ProBoards and I would hate that. don't do Facebook etc. How do all of you feel.?
I vote for LION OR LAMB.
The ice is gone from my driveway, one little strip at bottom of driveway where they plow me in. Snow still on ground but some areas are green, My wooden porch that is open at the bottom still have lot of ice on one side but that is where it was 6 inches thick and it seems to be better but the brick side walk is a mess. Very icy. No sunshine and don't want to chop at it or put ice melt on it so the garage door will still be open when I am expecting mail lady or company.
Worked on puzzle this morning to move some pieces around Too many blue pieces in the middle and we are at the house now. need those multi colors in middle. I did find 4 pieces in no time.
Called my tax lady yesterday and since I just drop off she said just come in when I can, they have to areas for customers , one desk for meetings and across the big room one desk just for drop off and sign paper that needs to be signed. I think tomorrow will do that and also make a trip to Rite Aid. I do not like the Multi Grain bread that I got so will feed to birds if I can get my wheat bread that I like the best at Rite Aid , only place that has it.
Did a hamburg patty in my George Foreman and too cold to do it out in the garage, so did it in kitchen and then took all night to get rid of the smell of beef cooking, for some reason I do not like that smell anymore. Was a good burger patty though, Put onion powder and ground black pepper on it and ate it plain. with some asparagus. and a small cup of instant vanilla pudding with some Reddi Whip on top sprinkled with a bit of nutmeg. Very good dinner.

I thought I posted this morning. Anyway here I am. Windy. Not as warm as yesterday but I have the kitchen door open. Got my hair cut this morning. Have done back exercises once. Sorta dusted. Bagged up some stuff to drop of at the donation place for the food pantry. I haven't been inside to shop in a long time.

I like Lion or Lamb for this month. I haven't done much yet today. It's 43 degrees now. Most of the ice is gone, but there is still quite a bit of snow on the ground.

Jim has been sleeping all day for the most part. He ate breakfast and lunch but not dinner so far. So I guess not enough sleep again tonight.
