Linda, thanks for the mammogram info. I need to get mine scheduled and it may well be after I get my first dose, so good information to know. You got a lot done yesterday for all the tossing and turning you apparently did the night before. It's pretty bad when you're keeping the dog awake, and I'll bet he was extra tired with everything he was involved in yesterday. I find that I crave sweets more when I haven't gotten enough sleep. Does that happen to you?
Great new avatar, Becky! That color looks really good on you. Do you wear a lot of bright pinks? Is that one of your new necklaces? Any word on when your leak might be repaired?
Chele, does the warmer weather you're getting make you feel better? Are you expecting rain/snow on the weekend? They are saying we may get 3-5" of rain Sunday through Wednesday. I guess we know what March will be coming in like, at least here. Have you seen the 9-1-1's this week. Not uttering "the Q word" is a real thing in public safety, and it can be almost full-moon bizarre. I agree with Hen that it's a jinx more than a curse.
Are you warmer or cooler today, Kathy? Arya and I went out on the deck for a while yesterday afternoon and may do the same today. The only lake action today seems to be the hundreds of gulls that are coming in for all the little fish and other aquatic critters that are fair game because they are drawing the lake level down a bit to accommodate the expected rain.
Liz, how has the head been? Have you tried out the new migraine med yet? How are the pups? A friend of mine from Brooklyn was able to get her 20-something son a vaccine appointment at one of the mass vaccination clinics there. I'm still not having any luck getting something any earlier than the day after Easter. I don't think we are doing a particularly good job here getting shots in arms.
How is life treating you, Denise? Are you planning your summer garden yet?
I have a load of our around-the-house clothes in the dryer. I'll be happy to get to warmer weather so I will only have to do those once a week because it will be shorts and t-shirts, instead of sweats. Right now it's at least twice a week. I also baked Dale a pan of old-fashioned gingerbread but he doesn't know it yet. I took the latest batch of saurruben off ferment this morning and will be grating turnips for another batch. That should get me through most of the summer. I'm thinking about making a few more face masks today with the cute fabric I got yesterday at Joann. I figure we're going to be wearing masks for at least a year after I get my 2nd shot, so I'm still looking for that comfortable pattern and haven't found one yet that either isn't too large or rubs the end of my nose. I downloaded a couple of new "3-D" patterns yesterday so maybe one of them will be a winner. It would be nice to find one that I can wear a surgical-style mask under.

Karen, LOL, yes, I was also rooting for Sam to lose the wager. I was also surprised that Graham was in such good shape. I liked the actor in Yesterday too and he is doing a good job in The Luminaries. Season 4 of Torchwood is different since a lot of it takes place in the US. Not my favorite season, but it had a few good moments. I liked Capaldi better in Torchwood too and in the Doctor Who episode about Pompeii. Not surprised that gas prices are rising. Our were already higher than yours to start with. Chele, hope your and Iggy's backs are improving. I saw a lone sandhill crane at the pond yesterday and she was clacking away. Probably looking for a mate. That's a lot of snow for Feb! Interesting that the dark eyed juncos only show up when it snows.
It is warming up and we'll be in the upper 80s for the next week. I think spring has sprung here.
Waving to everyone. Have a good day.

Hello Chicks and thanks for the start Karen. Kathy - wow on those anticipated temps coming this weekend for you. We are in the low 50s today in the city which is a big deal after all the snow. I think we'll see more moderated temps for the next several days. I'm completely lost on the TV programs as we don't have Netflix. I guess I really should break down and get it since cable is so terrible. A hundred channels and most of it is garbage; we have HBO which occasionally has a good series or program but otherwise it's a sparse venue. Karen - the head has been off and on which perplexes and concerns me. Yes, I'm going to have to tell the doctor as tempting as it might be to let it go awhile longer. Just intermittent headaches and dizziness still with certain head movements. Because of the herniated discs in my neck, that could also be contributing. Tried the new migraine med on Sunday and it seemed to help; I didn't go into a full-fledged migraine so I'm thankful. It also didn't wipe me out which was good. I like the thought of the eggplant fries in the air fryer. I have texture problems with foods and the crispy outside sounds very promising. Did you and Sweet Potato get some vitamin D time? I took a walk to the local health food store a little while ago to get some lunch and feel the sun and fresh air. I think people are getting into the mass vaccine venues because the state doesn't want to lose the inventory. Not always fair though, that's for certain! Chele - I hope your back and Iggy's back will improve soon! I think we had close to 30 inches of snow in Feb. It was a record certainly from the past several years. I got to see the macadam on the road for the first time in weeks. I hope the winter blues will go away and some nicer weather be a cheerful thing . Linda - how are the knees doing now? You certainly were a busy bee yesterday! Congrats on the loss once again! I just remember when we visited a resort in Tucson many years ago, it was nestled in the base of the Lemon Mountains. We rented a car and took a ride and were shocked how the landscape changed as we went up the mountain and back down. Waving to Becky (very pretty color in the new Avatar you're wearing)! And also waving to Denise. I've got to get going, I have a zoom program that starts at 3:00pm to get ready to attend. Be safe and stay well dear ladies; ciao for now~

Liz, I still have a Netflix DVD subscription and they don't always have their own series on there which is annoying. I know what you mean on all the cable channels being a waste. The only extra one I have right now is Starz and it has a couple of shows I'm watching right now. Most of the time, it's pretty sparse too. I have Hulu, Disney+ and AppleTV through my phone deal and there are some good shows on Hulu sometimes. Honestly, it was easier when the main shows were on the 3 networks! I'd complain about the heat here, but feel fortunate compared to the winters some of us have had. Wow on the 30 inches of snow! Hope you can get everything worked out with the head and migraine issues. Stay safe out there!
Linda, we have similar weather at the moment. I had to change to a cooler top too. It was in the 50s this morning, but it's 82 now.

Thanks for the start Karen. I don't wear a lot of pinks but it has been short sleeve weather the last 2 days. It got up to 82 so I wore shorts for my walk. Tomorrow it won't get out of the 50's so welcome to winter/spring. Yes it is one of my new necklaces. I'm wearing 2 necklaces but it's too long to show in the avatar. I also won a drawing at the party and I will be getting another necklace free. Our handyman just fixed the leaks. We had one at the back of the house and one at the pump and a faucet broke off up there but he capped it so we could still use our water. Shower tonight and maybe washing clothes tomorrow.
Liz Please tell the doctor all the symptoms you are having. It's not normal.

Becky, nice picture and yay on getting a shower! I'm glad things are getting back to normal for you. I agree, the pink looks good on you.
