99. When you eat yogurt or cottage cheese, donβt discard the wheyβthe watery part that separates out and sits on top. It contains B vitamins and minerals but almost no fat. Stir the whey back into the yogurt or cheese.

I usually stir the whey back into the yogurt. Don't have cottage cheese here. I wonder what the locals used to do with the whey when they made labne (yogurt through a strainer to remove whey)...bread maybe?
We have artichokes at home. I have a pressure cooker that has a stand you can put a steamer on top of - you put in minimal water and cook under pressure for about 20 minutes and the artichokes are done. If not that way then it can take a LOT longer to cook!
Mjudra - the real recipes use a cup of oil to fry the onions in - like two big onions - and all the oil goes into the pot with half the onions. It is tasty BUT if cutting back on calories I found that I could sort of get by with less though the dish wasn't as rich.

Yeah takes me 45' or so for artichokes. I eat the whey in yogurt except greek style.

I use the liquid too. I used to mind it but somehow don't anymore.
