Karen, thanks for the start. It is depressing to think we have to wear masks another year. On the other hand, we have had less colds and flu, in general. I did not miss my annual December heavy cold. This weekend the highs will be in the mid 50s and a chance of a little rain, less than a tenth of an inch. I’ve got Iggy trained to do his own laundry now, so I have less to do less often. I hope Osteo goes well today. Any stops? You still going to the gym afterwards?
Liz, 30” is a lot of snow in one month. February snow was a record for us. I agree with everyone about your headaches and dizziness. Don’t fool around with a head injury. How are Gary and family doing? Any news about Chef?
Kathy, we also had a leap in gas prices, .22 per gallon. Yikes! Sandhill cranes are pretty. Poor lonely crane. Do you ever get any flamingos at the pond? The bald eagles at Carillon Park near UD have at least one egg in their nest this year. Yay! And the squirrels have resurfaced in the backyard now that the snow is melting.
Becky, nice new pic. Pretty in pink and I love the necklace. I bet you felt like a new woman after getting your water back. Whew! How are the stores on supplies now? Have they been able to get their trucks in?
Linda, I am glad you got your car fixed and aligned. If I were rich I would have a driver and someone to take care of all the car stuff. Is the painting all done? Congrats on the 2 lb loss.
It was 62° yesterday for a high and sunny. The snow at the end of the drive was melting into a river, flowing freely into the street. There is still some snow on the ground where it was shoveled into mounds. The weather did not lift my spirits much as after I went grocery shopping the back started acting up again. Iggy got mad at me for some stupid reason, so I just went upstairs and read for most of the day. With both our backs hurting, it is a bit tetchy around here. Today is colder but sunny. The back felt good enough to get an easy workout in. I’d like to say I am out of my funk, but I am not. It is better today, though.

Karen, thanks for the start. Hope you have a good Osteo session. I had the AC maintenance done today and couldn't believe how much pollen got on my car just while it was sitting outside. No issues with the AC which is good since it will be going up near 90 this weekend. Chele, beautiful pic of the cardinal! I would love to see a flamingo at the pond, but they don't come this far north. The sandhill cranes will have to do. We used to have an eagle pair that nested in the neighborhood, but it's been awhile since I spotted one. I've seen a lot of squirrels around lately too. Sorry about the backs hurting and the tetchyness. Good for you for doing a workout despite the back hurting. Hope things improve soon. Linda, gas was around $2.70 today and that was up from $2.49 a few days ago. That's great on the good checkup and getting the second shot.
Waving to everyone.

Linda, great on the checkup!
Kathy, I don’t envy your 90° temps. We are supposed to be in mid 50s and that is balmy for February. If you look up and to the left of the cardinal, there is a goldfinch. It blends in with tree since it has its winter colors.

Chele, I'll bet things were really messy there yesterday with temps in the 60s and snow still melting. I hope your cooler temp is still above freezing so the melt continues. I hope none of the rivers in your area is close to its banks. I hope both your and Iggy backs are feeling better today. I agree with you on the prospect of having to wear masks for another year. But you did point out the silver lining. There are certain things that Dale isn't particularly self-sufficient at and laundry is one of them. He claims the washer is too high tech for him. Remember that he works with technology for a living, so that's obviously a convenient excuse. Osteo went well and I hit a new record on the ab machine. The only stop other than the gym was at Lowe's for a few tomato cages for the new blackberry plants that arrived earlier than expected and were planted yesterday. That's great news about the eagle egg at UD. Do they have an eagle cam to watch it hatch? Welcome back squirrels--just stay away from the bird feeder! Pretty cardinal! What is next to him on the branch?
I know having the recall done on the car, Linda, is a major relief. Have the gel shots started to kick in yet? Congrats on the loss.
Kathy, I hope your weather is comfortable today and you have lots of activity on the pond. We are sunny and 65°, so rolling-down-the windows comfortable for the trip home.
I heard on the a.m. news this morning that Kroger was going to start administering covid vaccines and got one scheduled through their website before I hit the road this morning. At first the scheduling software was not being very cooperative, but I finally got it to work and will be getting my first dose of "covid juice" tomorrow afternoon. I assume it must be the Pfizer because the 2nd dose is schedule for 3/19, which is 3 weeks out. Arya seems to be dealing with a UTI plus colitis that started just before bedtime last night, so we were up several times during the night. I gave her yogurt and probiotics before I left this morning, so I hope we're getting ahead of this and won't need a vet appointment over the weekend. I'll be home with her except when I go for my shot tomorrow.
Waving to the rest of the gang!

Chele, I totally missed the goldfinch. That makes it an even better picture! Today was warm, but still okay. The heat is coming. I'm sure 50s feels good after all the freezing weather.
Karen, sunny and 65° is perfect weather to me. Congrats on getting the shot scheduled so soon! Any idea when Dale will be able to get it? It sounds like FL isn't expanding the general age range any time soon. Poor Arya (and you)! Hope she is better tonight.

Karen, congrats on getting a sooner appointment for the COVID jab. That is a goldfinch wearing his winter colors next to the flamboyant cardinal.

Linda, yay for Bob!
Karen, poor Arya! I hope she is feeling better soon so she doesn’t have to go to vet. Also, yes, I saw both 9|1|1 episodes. We also believed in jinxes in the office. “The phones are so q———t.” Boom, non stop until quitting time. “Things have being going so smoothly.” Boom, nothing but trouble all day.

Thanks for the start Karen.
Chele In Central Texas they are saying the flu is not prevalent at all. Thanks for the compliment. The hot shower was awesome. HEB is getting better each day and on the days we go they have been fairly well stocked to where I can find most of the items on my list. Glad we don't eat much bread because the shelves are pretty bare on that. I was able to find my favorite creamer this morning. Walmart had to throw out so much because their generator failed and I guess that is why they are so slow at getting restocked. I'm sorry the weather didn't lift your spirits. (((Hugs))) and I hope both or your backs get better soon. Tell Iggy to chill out.
Linda Wow on your gas prices. Ours went up to $2.29 and we thought that was bad. Good luck with your second vaccine. We still can't even get the first one yet but I hear more vaccines are coming to Texas next week. Have you had all 3 of your knee injections? I didn't know you couldn't take anything for it.Great on the checkup.Yea on Bob.
Kathy That is too hot for February.
