This is a monthly thread for those of us who have a lot of weight to lose. The definition of “a lot” is something that is determined personally, so everyone who feels they have a lot of weight to lose is welcome to post here.
Please join us in offering support, checking in for accountability, help with questions, etc. We’re in this for the long haul.
We’d also love to hear from those of you who are maintaining a large loss. We need those tips to help us to keep the weight off once we lose it.

Good morning! sunrose49, I am very sorry to hear about your mother-in-law's passing. Like you, my mother-in-law is a very special person. I can honestly say that I'm closer with her than with my own mother. I like to tease DH that his mom is the "Mom-est" of all moms! DotRen, hope you are doing well! I ended up having lots of DPs left yesterday. I had Subway at work and it didn't sit well with me, so I didn't eat much else. So I still have some WPs for the week, which I'm trying to save for our little mini getaway later in the week. I can't wait. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning! cj59, I hope you are doing well. amyrs, congratualations on "ONEderland"! That's a great achievement! In general, I try to stay away from diet talk in my daily life, but it's hard. Just today I overheard someone say something along the lines of, "if I lived with my parents, I would weigh X pounds!" I happen to weigh almost exactly that amount, and I'm much shorter than the person who said it, and I'm positive that the person to whom the individual was speaking weighs more than that, too, and definitely struggles with weight. I thought it was very insensitive. Two more days until my getaway, so the focus is on getting the house cleaned so I return to a dirty mess. When I am busy with work, everything seems to go downhill at home in terms of cleanliness. I live with four other people, but it seems that if I'm not pushing everyone to pick up after themselves, it just doesn't get done. And forget about actual cleaning - I'm the only one who really does that. This week, I'll be happy if I don't gain, since I am going to be away. I'll miss WI by a day, so my plan is just to WI on Sunday instead, but still roll over my week on Saturday. Hope you all have an excellent day!

Good morning
Wwlurker, so glad you have a loving mil too. That’s so nice you’re gonna be able to get away. Yeah sometimes people can be insensitive when it comes to weight.
Amy, I am so proud of you!!
Cj, I love this group. You ladies are awesome with your support.
Dotren, how are you doing?
Thanks for the condolences regarding my mother-in-law. I’m just glad she’s not suffering anymore.
I’m trying to get my act together it’s a never ending story. I’m going to just keep plugging away at it.

Hello amyrs - Congratulations on reaching ONEderland, good luck with meeting your next goal weight wwlurker - I hope you can get everything ready for your trip and that you have a good time on your getaway. I'm also someone who doesn't like to talk about dieting/weight much with other people (in person). Having had weight problems my whole life I find that I'm very sensitive to any comments or innuendo about overweight people being bad/lazy/unmotivated, etc. sunrose - I've felt the same way when some of my family members have passed away. We will miss them, but would not want them to keep suffering. Good luck with getting your act together. I'm staying on track well, just still unmotivated about getting exercise. Hope everyone checking in is doing well. Have a good day!

cj59, not really a basketball fan lol, but I love the phrase "March madness" amyrs, congrats! wwlurker, I hear you about people who are unaware of others weight issues and insensitive. I remember on the LCF board people would join and say "I'm so fat! I need to lose 10 pounds!" and it would get a pretty negative reaction lol. sunrose49, I'm so sorry about your loss I'm doing well, just kind of having Spring fever I think lol.

Hello Everyone DotRen - Hope you have some nice weather and you can get outside sunrose - Hope you are enjoying those walks. You mentioned me walking outside and I would love to, but unfortunately I don't live in a safe enough area that I feel comfortable walking outside I'm glad you have a nice area to walk in. Hope everyone is doing well and sticking to their plans and enjoying some Spring weather. I'm staying on track, but the last few days I could feel that I really wanted to binge eat due to stress. So I'm working to fight that feeling. I did go grocery shopping and didn't buy any junk food and stuck to my list. I finally opened up the Easter M&Ms I bought awhile back and there are 22 small packs in the bag. I've only had one and haven't really felt like having another one yet - so I guess that's a good thing. I really wanted to break my habit of having something sweet each night and I've been doing well with that. Take care and have a great weekend!

Good morning. I met my goal for weight loss this past week. I set the bar low so it is easy to attain. More incentive if I know I can meet my goal. As it gets nicer to do outdoor work and more walking I hope to exceed my goals.
Amyrs congrats. I hope I live long enough to make it to onederland.
Sunrose sorry for your loss. I lost my MIL in November to Covid and also lost an aunt to covid wihin the same week. Like Lurker I was closer to MIL than I was to my own mother for many years.

Hello Everyone - Hope you are enjoying your weekend gerimawa - Congratulations on meeting your goal. I agree it helps to set the goal a bit lower and then it always feels good to exceed it sunrose - Congratulations on your loss this week too! Today is the start of a new week for me. I kind of like starting on Sundays, it splits the weekend up. I did eat some junk food after dinner last night but I had plenty of weekly points to use, so I still stayed within my allotted points for the week. I just don't like to do that kind of after dinner eating because it leads to bingeing sometimes, so I need to get that in check. Have a great day!

Hi everyone!
I had a gain this week, but it was to be expected after my getaway. I did not watch what I was eating at all for the time I was away (I did track, though), and I was not completely back on track yesterday, either. I'm in the red for the week already, so I'm really just trying to get back into my routine, as I think it was working well.
I hope you are all doing well!
