OMG so many posts LOL. That's what I get for going to the market to pick up 'healthy fruits and veggies'. I should have stayed home and popped buckeyes LOL.
LOL Kathy I hear ya on feeling 102! All I can say is you most DEFINTLEY don't look it, and that's all that counts. Good for you for taking out extra insurance on the piano. Hope there isn't anything wrong with it. You'll have your apartment lookin' beautiful in no time, Kathy. I just know you will. Me, I have two rooms that are total disasters and I'm fine with it. One is an extra bedroom where queen Rachel hangs out and the other is our computer room where Carl does his leather work. The rest of the rooms are neat as I keep them up! I also admire your approach to the holidays by not over indulging. You ROCK in that thinking, Kathy. Happy that PL is adjusting. Also pray that J seeks the help that he needs. Good for you for realizing that you can't be everything to everyone. (((hugs)))
(((hugs))) Sue. What a great idea to skip the service if going on Mother's Day just gets in the way of you being happy. Life is way too short for that sort of thing. I learned the hard way to never try to 'fit in'. If something/someone is not jiving with me and bringing me down, I avoid it. I'm so happy that you are married to one who 'gets it'. To me that is worth all the tea in China. I too am fortunate in that regard.
Yeah Carol! So happy you made it back to the Café. I know you are going to find a good and comfy home here. Wish I could say something to you sports fans, but unfortunately the only time I watch sports is if New England is in the mix LOL, and even then it's sketchy at best! I'm more into music than sports. Not that I play an instrument, but I love listening, signing and dancing to it.
Carolyn I am also jumpin' for joy that Enzo is back. My hair is horrible. Where there USED to be grey is now WHITE which makes the dark hair look even darker! Just call me skunk lady! I wish I looked good letting it go natural....but unfortunately I just can't pull that look off. OUCH to your knee. I pray that it starts feeling better. Glad you skipped the gym.
Act what a wonderful picture of you and the misses! Pleased to meet you! You make a very handsome couple!
LOL Chele on 'elfin' around' I think I'll do just that once I unplug for the night!
I won't get 'into' holidays and family dynamics. Some families have skeletons in their closets...both Carl and I have GRAVEYARDS!!!!!!! That's why we spend holidays at home and together....it's happier and safer this way.
Okay, time for the little elf to start elfin' around.
Sleep well, all!

ann1953 LOL at the graveyards! Yes, I think that might describe us, too, but thankfully the people we are not close to are completely across the country now, so that simplifies things. It was very hard to listen to J's grandmother (yes, he's young, remember, and she's 90) begging him to come for a visit the other day. So, I think a trip to TX is waiting for us. I think my brother is probably glad that we're across the country, so it just simplifies everything; we have very cordial texting and will wish each other a festive Merry Christmas! I got a little done! Naturally, it involved electronics, but I needed to string a power strip along the back of a counter to see if I could make it work with some appliances and that took some putting away to accomplish. So, I think I can watch some TV until J gets in with a clear conscious. Night!

Wow! I was gone longer than I planned today, and it was great to get home and see all these posts! I can't even remember what everyone wrote, so will have to go back and read again so I can remember what I wanted to say. One thing I DO remember is that I love buckeyes--the candy, that is! Sorry Chele! I'm going to make some notes and I'll be back.

Good evening, everyone! I’ve been busy trying to get ready for Christmas and pack for our camping trip.
Ann, Christmas with Carl at home sounds like a wonderful time – enjoy!
Sue, way to go on another pound!
Kathy, I’m so glad you love your apartment and that Leia seems to as well! And good idea on getting the piano checked out. I’m sure you’ll probably at the least have to get it tuned.
Carol, you certainly don’t have to be ‘at goal’ to see dramatic health improvements. Every single pound counts – way to go on your great doctor’s appointment!
Judy, you are being so successful with all your hard work. You deserve all those compliments!
Carolyn, I don’t think those Chocolate Faux VitaMuffins were mine. But they sound great! I make muffins weekly; they are my go-to healthy snack. I bake mine a silicone muffin top pan I bought from VitaMuffin. I don’t think they sell them anymore, but I found them on Amazon. I love muffin tops! However, there are giant muffin pans that are double the size of regular muffins. My daughter bakes ‘make ahead egg muffins’ in hers. I’ve seen them at Bed, Bath and Beyond.
Chele, ‘elfing’ around sounds like so much fun!
ACT – great pic!
Tomorrow will be a busy one with church, singing, family get-togethers, and final packing for trip. I’m told our signal will be sketchy where we are camping but I’ll try to check in when I can. If I miss all of you tomorrow, I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and holiday. For me, family and great friends are the best gifts of all, and I count you all among my great friends!

Hi Again! Ann, you made me laugh at the GRAVEYARDS! It sounds like you and Carl will have a much nicer holiday with just the two of you. Kathy, I would have freaked out when the piano went crashing down. It's good that you had the extra insurance just in case. It sounds like you were getting nicely settled in your new home sitting by the fake fire. I have to admit that I love fake fires! It's good that J and the new owner are bonding so you don't have to. Sue, you were smart to take care of yourself when it came to going to church on Mother's Day. The older I get, the more I realize it's OK to skip things that are hurtful to us--or we just don't want to do. I agree that life is too short for that kind of thing. Carolyn, Kathryn is right about the muffin pans at Bed, Bath, & Beyond. I think I've also seen foil tins in that size if you want something more disposable. I think you are a SMART house guest/traveler to take along food. There are a lot of knee issues going around today. Kathy and Carolyn, I hope your knee pain isn't too bad and that you'll both feel better soon. Actanger, I hope Linda's daughter's knee surgery goes well. My husband had a total knee replacement about 18 months ago. It was the best thing he has done for himself as he was miserable beforehand. Kathryn, I agree that family and friends are the best gifts of all. Have a good trip and a wonderful holiday. Chele, I loved imagining you and your husband "elfing" around! It really made me smile, as did your buckeye comment. Waving to Judy! Hope I did not forget anyone. See you all tomorrow! Carol
