No Excuses
* This is a daily thread for those who want to live by the philosophy that you CAN be ON PLAN EVERY DAY, whether you are doing SFT or counting points for ALL foods! * You aren't doing this to brag; you are doing it for YOU! Because YOU are WORTH IT and because WW has made this totally DOABLE! * WW gives you a lot of freedom and a LOT of options that make it quite possible to live this lifestyle EVERY DAY. * You know that this philosophy keeps you on the straight and narrow. If you give yourself an excuse to go off plan today, there will ALWAYS be another excuse tomorrow. * SO, there are NO EXCUSES!!! * This is your LIFESTYLE and it is a lifestyle you enjoy and you live it daily. * Hopefully your participation here will not only inspire YOU but will inspire OTHERS too! YES, you CAN!

101. Remove the skin from chicken: this can cut the fat content by three quarters and the calories by half. Choose the breast instead of the thigh: skinless dark meat has twice as much fat as skinless light meat.

I have always (I think) preferred white to dark meat and skin was never of interest to me till someone had me taste crunchy skin...ah well...

Same here. I prefer breast & never cared for the skin. I'm not wild about thighs and especially when they have bone & skin. But I have used them in recipes and my husband says they are less dry & have more flavor. I'll stay with my breasts.

I buy boneless, skinless chicken breasts ("local" Draper Valley)on sale BOGO. I do like chicken thighs but only eat one when cooking whole chicken with rosemary and thyme slipped under breast skin. I do that only when super sale on whole chicken.
