Good morning! Not sure what I am doing today.
Ruth - don't blame you for being cautious with visitors... in as much as I think there are many overreactions to covid (schools being closed, which I feel is hurting more than helping), I totally agree that each individual has to take care of themselves in the best manner and with good common sense. I know my DSIL and DBIL have made major changes to their lives in the past year to stay safe from Covid, so having one foolish careless and inconsiderate individual wreck their careful plans makes no sense. Wad your DB able to be vaccinated (or perhaps he did not want to be).

Well when he was travelling to be with his daughter when the baby was born and planned to stop here on the way home was this past Sept so I don't think they even had any vaccine out yet. Or if they did they were giving it only to first responders and those that live and work in nursing homes.I don't know why I even brought that up because it was so long ago.You all know how careful we've been.I'm glad your sil is taking this seriously esp since there has been increased numbers where she lives

Last evening I decided to do the linked hat by Daisy Farm Crafts. I liked the hat but didn't want to make it because you have to make in in a rectable then join sides but I tried it anyway and will slip stitch it together. The linked stitch is so interesting! I wonder if this woman invented this stitch herself. It's kind of like a star stitch in a way because you pick up stitches...hard to explain. Luckily she has a video. It's really a lot of fun to do and makes a dense stitch which will be great for winters here.
my yogurt turned out great. I'm straining some to make it more like a Greek yogurt but it seems plenty firm to me without doing that so probably won't do that a lot. I used to think that I really liked Greek yogurt but there are only a couple brands that I like and right now can't even remember which brands they are. I'm looking forward to using this yogurt on my oatmeal that I have every morning. I put fruit in it too. Bananas when I have them or canned or frozen fruit.

Hello Everyone Hope you are all doing well and enjoying some nice weather this weekend. It's sunny and milder here today, and the wind from the last few days is gone. Ruth - I'm happy to hear your yogurt turned out great. I've never tried making that, but I do eat a yogurt almost everyday. It took me a bit to get used to the greek yogurt when it came out and was so popular but now I really like it. Ginny - Hope you've had a good day - do you have all the things you need to make the little Easter houses with the grandkids? I'll be interested to hear how they liked doing that. I've been looking at quilting blogs on the soscrappy blog to see what quilters are making for their monthly Rainbow Scrap Challenge. I saw an easy block on one quilter's blog and I think I'll add that to the one I'm doing each month. The color for April is light/medium blue, but I'm just going to pull out all my blue scraps. I've been thinking that I'm going to go ahead and sort out all the rest of the colors now and not wait to do it each month. I'd like to get that done so I can just make the blocks each month and then also decide what to do with the scraps I keep and cut into specific sizes. I'd like to start another quilt top or project too, but I'm not sure what yet. Hope you all get to do some crafting this weekend. Take care

Good evening, Ruth that is so exciting that your yogurt turned out so well!!! It sounds wonderful and its extra special because you cam make it exactly how you like it. Does Dh like it also?
CJ- gad you found another block to add to your rainbow scrap challenge quilt. What a nice way to really make this quilt yours, and make it something special. I think its a great idea to get all your scraps out now, there are I am sure some fabrics that can kind of go either way- light or dark or even color definition. It must feel good to be organized too and have an idea how you will use each fabric.
I did make two catnip pillows and practice on my free motion work. Think I am ready to give it a try on the falling charms quilt. Well maybe
Phyl- hope you had a great birthday. Ginny

CJ,it's great that you found another block that you really like. And having colors already sorted will be so handy. All you'll need to do is grab the bag or the bin each color is in and put them together.
Ginny, did you do the Easter craft with the grands yet?
Well after I posted earlier dh decided to do the faucets. He ended up having to take out the whole sink as there wasn't room to get in where the nuts were that he needed to loosen. Of course it didn't go as smoothly as we would have liked but so far it looks like nothing is leaking. I was praying a lot while helping dh. We just got done in fact and I just ate dinner. DH was too tired to eat yet and needs to rest first. I did get a little crocheting done before we started on the sink.
WE're not doing anything special for EAster dinner. We had some of the ham yesterday with the baked sweet potatoes and it was delicious.

Ruth, congrats to you and Dh who sure do take on some major household plumbing jobs!!! May it continue NOT to leak... job well done for sure.
Happy Easter!!!!
Will bbl- probably pretty late this evening. Gotta go get some cooking done. Ginny

Thank you Ginny. the clips still need to be put on which I'll do tomorrow then dh can put in the drain pipes. There's not much room under the sink so it's always a huge challenge to get anything done under there.
I'm working on a Baby Yoda for dh for her birthday. She's not a big Star Wars fan like my son but likes "the Child" Me, I know nothing about any of it.Never had the urge to watch Star Wars. I finally decided what to put on dggs baby blanket and to make for him as a stuffed animal to go with it. I think that my dgd and her bf would be for more unconventional things for baby so I'm putting a shark applique on his blanket and making him a little "Sharkie" which is what the pattern is called and it's cute.So the teddy bear and also elephant appliques will wait for another blanket.I may have to make the little guy some other sea animals sometime too.

Ruth, I think its an adorable idea to make a shark applique and stuffed animal. I can just see a nursery decorated with little crochet sea animals- how cute will that be! What color is the sharkie blanket going to be? I know what a challenge it can be to work in a tiny space under a sink. Hope you and Dh can finish the job tomorrow and that the installation will be done. Such a challenge living without a kitchen sink- especially as much as you cook.
Nice evening with Dd and DSIL. And tomorrow is Monday. Yuck. Hope everyone had a blessed Easter. GInny

The baby yoda is for dd ...just noticed the typo.
Ginny, it sounds like you had a lovely Easter day. And I agree with yuck Monday again. Time is just going by so fast. Dh keeps saying that fall will be here before we know it.
