But, have you ever heard anybody say, "That really got my Alpaca."

But why is the devil depicted with horns? It's those goat eyes, I tell ya. They look evil. OK, I had to look. The devil is depicted with goat-like horns because the image was influenced by pagan dieties. Most notably Pan, Greek god of nature who was goat-horned and cloven hoofed. But the pagans had to pick the goat imagery for some reason. I'm sticking with the eyes.

bbbearsmom, I've never met one in person. My goat experiences are limited to America's Funniest Home Videos.

I remember being really young, maybe 5 or 6, at a petting zoo, and one kept charging at me and knocking me over. Later, when I was in FFA as a senior in high school we helped herd goats for an older local farmer that had surgery and couldn't, so we went there every day at class time (he lived adjacent to the school)and rounded them up and fed them - they were a whole herd of a-holes lol.

DotRen, yes, I may have had a goat encounter at a petting zoo, but if so I was too young to recall it. Even more OT, remember the surprise when you would pet the sheep and how oily their wool was?

lani, Yes, I remember that. I saw a sheep get shorn once and that was amazing. If I remember correctly it comes off in one piece. Side note: The neighbor behind us filled his swimming pool today. I know because there was a tanker truck in the driveway and "Swimming Pool Water" was written on the side of it. I first saw one of those takers coming out of the driveway across the street a few years ago. I hadn't given any though to how people filled their pools, guess I thought they filled them with their hoses.

bbbearsmom, they looked so peaceful. There was a duck in the background that was getting interested.

Adorable! Swings for other animals besides humans. Great idea. They really are relaxing.
Thanks for posting this.
Did anybody on here have a swing set in their yard when they were a child? We did. Very easy access. Lol.

birdgal, We had a swing set when we lived in Missouri (my ages 2 -8), and I think the people across the street had a tire swing but I'm not sure. When we moved to California there was an elementary school by us and we would go over there to swing. I don't know if anyone ever did it but I remember some kids swinging very high and there was something about going over the top of the bar at the top. Kids would swing high and then jump out.

DotRen, if it swings its a swing. Lol. I was one of those jumpers. It was a long, long, long time ago. We lived across the street from a school too.
I tried to go over the bar but never could make it. Lol. I don't think anybody really could. Many kids wanted to do it just like I did, but I've never seen anybody do it or heard about them doing it. I don't think it was possible. Imagine the law suits if there was an accident.
