This is a monthly thread for those of us who have a lot of weight to lose. The definition of “a lot” is something that is determined personally, so everyone who feels they have a lot of weight to lose is welcome to post here.
Please join us in offering support, checking in for accountability, help with questions, etc. We’re in this for the long haul.
We’d also love to hear from those of you who are maintaining a large loss. We need those tips to help us to keep the weight off once we lose it.

Hello Everyone - Welcome to April Hope it's a great month for all of us. wwlurker - Good luck with making it through with the points you have left this week and I hope you have a good weigh in this weekend I have a busy mind too, and would love to shut it down sometimes, especially when I'm trying to get to sleep! I'm staying on track and hoping for another 5 pound loss this month. I was thinking the other day when I was a lot younger I could lose 10 pounds a month easily. Then the older I got it went to about 8 pounds a month and now I'm happy with 5 pounds a month loss I do hope to exercise more this month, so I'm going to try to have that as a goal. Take care everyone!

Hello Everyone sunrose - Hope you are doing well and get to walk outside in some nice weather. I had my weigh-in yesterday and I'm happy with how I'm doing. Hopefully I can keep on track. I've had a few days in the last few weeks where life "thing" have stressed me out and I really just wanted to binge eat. I'm trying to resist it because I know that I can mess up 3 good months of dieting in just a few weeks! Hope everyone is doing well on their plans too

Good morning! cj59, I always forget to start a new thread, so thanks for the start! I feel you on the life stress. There's always something! sunrose49 - I hope you are doing well! I go in phases where I check in all the time and phases where I don't check in at all. I did not WI this Saturday and for no good reason other than avoidance. I've not been tracking or OP at all really. I'm not doing terribly, just not as well as I should be. I need to suck it up and get on the scale. Nothing good can come from sticking my head in the sand. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning!
I had a bad day yesterday overall. When that happens, it's a struggle for me to eat in a way that supports my health. My eating was off schedule and I felt terrible. I ended up going to bed early. I'm resolving to do better today. I did my late weigh-in this morning and had an insignificant gain. I logged what I ate yesterday and I put in "place holders" for the rest of the week I didn't track (I quick-add my dailies plus five weeklies for each day I didn't track - I've probably eaten way more than that, but this is the easiest way to start fresh for me. It gives me a pro-rata share of my weeklies left to deal with for the week. Yesterday I had 11 DPs left. I added an extra 5 WPs to the previous day to account for "overages".)
I think that I've grown a little complacent. I've lost a bit, so I'm generally more comfortable and slipping back into bad habits. What I need to remember is that I feel so much better when I take care of myself, so I need to do it for that reason alone. My life is very busy and I simply don't have the energy or mental bandwidth to do everything I need to do unless I make myself a priority.
I hope you are all doing well!

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well wwlurker - Sorry to hear about your bad day, I hope today is better. It really is easy to slip back into those old habits, isn't it? You have a great attitude about taking care of yourself, so I know you can get things back on track The last two evenings did some after dinner eating - something I try not to do. The first night it was Combos pretzels and last night it was Poppables chips. I probably shouldn't have these things in my house, but I want to be able to control my eating and not be afraid to have food in my house, so I need to try to do better with the late night eating. I do O.K. with portioning out chips/pretzels during the day. I do keep the sweet treats out of the house because I really do have trouble controlling those

Good morning
Wwlurker, That’s so me I’d check in several days in a row and then I’ll slack off and disappear LOL it’s hard to not fall back into the bad habits but you sound pretty determined so good for you.
Cj, I love combos!! I can’t have them in the house. You’ve been doing really good. That’s a great idea to focus on 5 pounds a month.
Waving to all
I had a good wi last Saturday now I’m starting to slip again. Time to refocus. The weather’s been great. I’ve been getting out doing just a little bit of yardwork.

Good morning! cj59, I have trouble controlling some things but not others. I also find that lighter versions of snacks are better for me because I'm less likely to overindulge. For example, frozen fudge bars are much easier for me to enjoy in reasonable amounts than ice cream. Similarly, I'm much more likely to over-indulge in chips as opposed to other salty snacks which are less points, like mini rice cakes or feta and olives (my fav). sunrose49, I've been slipping up too. I really need to refocus as well. Last night DH brought home snacks and I over-indulged. I have no WPs left and I'm -3 for the week (I have two days left). Typical for me. On the plus side, my calories burned are up this week after being much lower for the past month or so. I need to keep up the additional activity, which is mostly just walking around a bit during the day and keeping busy tidying at home. Hope you all have a great day! Hope you are all doing well.

Good morning everyone!
Happy Friday!
I had some DPs left yesterday, so I'm still -3 for the week with this being my last day of the week. If you roll over the DPs I didn't eat Tuesday and yesterday, I actually still have 12 WPs left (although I didn't track Saturday to Tuesday except to log my DPs plus 5 WPs). My sneak peek at the scale this morning tells me that I'm down a little bit.
I'm looking forward to the new week and starting fresh. I'm continuing to try to work on myself and make tweaks where I can. I have been pretty good a focusing on a thing or two at a time, and adding in new things once I get a new healthy habit down. It's time to evaluate and decide what to work on next, while hopefully keeping up with the things I've added so far.
Hope you all have a great weekend!

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well sunrose - Hope you can get back on track. Good luck with your weigh in. I like the Spicy Mustard combos - once I open the bag they are gone quickly wwlurker - Snacks are really tough to portion, aren't they? I'm glad you still had some DP's left yesterday and I hope that your movie night goes well, and your weigh-in too. I'm doing pretty well. I've really been wanting to "eat my emotions", but I'm trying to resist doing that. I have used more of my weekly points these last two weeks, than I did for the first couple of months since I started, so I'm not sure how that will affect any weight loss. If I would just start exercising then I wouldn't worry as much, but I've still been lazy about that. Take care and enjoy the weekend

Good morning
Wwlurker, I’m impressed with your tracking!!
Cj, I don’t think I’ve seen the spicy mustard combos.
I need to move more today. The weather is not helping it’s making me feel lazy.

Hello Everyone sunrose - I can only find those Combos at CVS and I think I found them once at WaWa. Hope you enjoy your day I weighed-in this morning and lost weight this week, so I'm happy about that. I try not to get too excited because then I'm disappointed when I have a week that I don't lose. I need to focus on the fact that I had a good week and stayed on track. Hope everyone is doing well and having a good day

Good morning everyone!
I ended up with a slight gain this week. I'm not really sure why, but I'm not too concerned, because I've basically been the same weight, within a 0.6 range, for over a month. I'm still in that range.
I did really well with the snacks this weekend and I'm hoping that I can keep that up.
My fibit went a bit haywire last night and thought that I was burning a ton of calories. It's like my heartrate spiked, but I don't really think that it did. It was bizarre. That's disappointing, because I use my calories burned to based my manual allowance of DPs, and to add APs when I do a lot of extra activity. I'm just not adding any APs for it.
I hope you are all doing well!
