We are walkers, joggers, bicyclists, and some do other exercise. We set goals and keep track by miles. You can set your goal for any amount, count your miles any way you wish. The goal is consistency with exercise.
We started Jan. 20, 2003 on the WW Challenge Central Board as "250 Miles by June 1" & we've done 42 five-month walking challenges, including the one we finished Dec 1, 2020. You can find us on wwmessageboard.freeforums.net at wwmessageboard.freeforums.net/board/12/challenges
The group challenge is to average about 2 miles a day, 13 miles a week, or 50 miles a month; if you do it, in 5 months you will have walked 250 miles, and if you have stuck with the challenge and a healthy eating program for that 5 months, you will see wonderful changes in your health, fitness, and size!
Some people will finish well before the target date and will go for more or another 250 miles, but others will go at a slower pace, and new members will join along the way, so each member is welcome to set her/his own personal goal and target date. The new group challenge which started Dec 1, 2020, is "250 Miles by May 1, 2021."
You are welcome to join us at any time.

Good Evening Challengers!
Yesterday I did 1/6 of my main HHs, ate above my red zone of pts and stayed up late reading. At least the pts weren’t as high as they’ve been many times. I ate skinny pop and only a little of the more processed and high pts snacks.
Yesterday we walked 2 mi.
My “KISS” HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) - Avoid salted snacks: N - JGTB: N
2 microhabits: - “50 pushaways”: N - “No seconds with snack”: N
Habit change: It’s a process - mind, body, emotions, spirit. It takes time and repetition. For me, Prayer + Practice + Patience + Perseverance = Progress
Trying to do some cleaning and organizing each day, parceling out my time so I still get work done also.
Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.

Cait: Thanks for getting the new month started I completely forgot and actually started posting there again this morning. One day at a time and you will have it all completed.
Connie: Hope you vaccine went well. Glad you are able to get up and move. I have to tackle my taxes very soon.

Good morning. Got a lot of stuff done yesterday and lots of movement but nothing I'm counting for miles. With your inspiration and yesterday's activities I'm ready to get going again today, just not as far.
Cait: Must be a good book. At least you got the 2 miles in. Good for you on parceling out your time.
Kelly: Oh my goodness, I don't know how you got all of the exercise with the icky weather ! Sounds like you and I were on the same page with the Chinese food. The vaccine went very smoothly. So far just a slightly tender arm so I'm thankful.
Have a good day !

KELLY - That’s strange about your ex MIL in hospital - you were just buying her groceries a week or so ago. But a good life lesson. Health can turn on a dime. Hope her mental status improves. 😪 GFY with the 9 mi last weekend and OP and tracking getting in miles during the week.
CAROL - Yay, vax #2! GFY water aerobics, yard work, stretching.
AMY - Sorry you were struggling with overeating and food choices. I have that problem as well. But I’m better than I used to be. So I think for me, it’s a gradual process of habit change that I just need to keep working on one day at a time. Glad you are fully vaxed!
CONNIE - Glad you got the vax #1 and GFY with the rental work - that will help in a lot of ways that walking doesn’t - flexibility, balance, strength. Re the move - we are still settling in, figuring out where to put things. It’s an old house we rehabbed, so there are still things being worked on. Re our walks - yes I think it’s important for both DH and me. Re the 3rd stair 50 pushaways - I started with the kitchen counter. It took my a longer time to get consistent with doing it. I shifted to the 4th stair after a few years. Then after about 6 months I moved down to the 3rd stair, but I have to do it in 2 segments.

I gained 12 pounds in a recent time. I weighed 206.2. I want to start today April 3 over. I am going to eat 6 meals and 1 cup of grapes for fruit. I will have 4 cups of brown rice made from frozen in my microwave. And steam frozen pease for 4 cups a day and 6 meals to mix with the rice. I take 2/3 of frozen peas an steam in my microwave ve steamer. I use 2/3 cup measure to measure my rice. I combine the two and warm for 1 minute. Then I eat that 6 times a day. I cant afford much grapes so I keep that to 1 cup a day. My treadmill cut hold anyone 265 or higher. I cant Gai. any more weight. Scott is ordering Chinese food for Easter. I won't eat that this time. I will start the tremolo again today or tomorrow..

About the week’s topic of bundling something I like to do with something I “need to do.” To build in a reward. They focused on physical activity, but it also applies to other things. So I’m planning to play music while I do my physical therapy floor exercises, which I haven’t done in a few weeks. Here’s the topic/technique article about the “bundling” approach: www.weightwatchers.com/us/m/cms/article/secret-to-being-more-activeBe well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other. Cait

Good Morning!!
Thanks Ladies!!
Hope everyone had a Happy Easter.
I had a nice weekend. On the go for most of it. Added 8 miles Fri-Sun. The DH and I did a walking trail at local state park. There was definitely some challenging spots. I did not remember it being like that. Of course I hadn't hiked it in about 5 years and the DH probably like 15. He was convinced I was trying to kill him, lol. Although he still accompanied me for a walk last night.
Eating was not the best. Forgot to put my meals in my app yesterday. I had tracked breakfasts for 18 days in a row.
The ex- MIL ended up back in the hospital and is now in a nursing home. Not sure if a permanent move or temporary.
Cait: You are doing a good job. When do you move?
Amy: I agree with Cait, Get right back on track.
Connie: I get my miles indoors when weather is yucky.
Waving to all. Happy Walking!!
