SATURDAY!
We had a long, windy drive yesterday, but we arrived safely and, believe it or not, it was good to hug my in-laws for the first time since 2019! (I saw them âdistantlyâ in August).
CAITâ you beach walk sounds lovely! Good job /4+ miles!
KELLY â wtg OP day & walking! My back pain is not chronic, thank goodness. I canât imagine living with that kind of painđ
CONNIEâIâm glad youâre back on your feet. My stretching isnât PT, I just feel better.
Iâm terrible on my phone, so Iâm going to stop! Walked a little yesterday during our stops, and I stretched.

Good morning. I can't believe I had so much to catch up on yesterday. Today... out .... I just haven't figured out when is the right time.
Cait: Glad you were able to make better food choices. It appears you were none the worse for the 4 of your HH's you didn't meet.
Carol: I am so glad you got to hug your in-laws
Have a good day.

Good Morning Dimers!
Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, stayed in my đ zone of pts, Healthy Eating Zone.
Yesterday we walked 2 mi in am. Oral surgery went fine. Had a little pain after the numbness wore off - a few times it got bad and I almost took the pain med, but I did the cold packs and meditated and it passed. Apparently for a wisdom tooth like mine, itâs not a âtooth pullâ - itâs an excavation! I read up on it after the fact đŹ. I guess thatâs why they say âtooth extraction.â So far so good today. No pain.

I went to my WW Zoom meeting this am and it was good. Only one more Sat zoom meeting at that time and then all meetings are in person at the studio except one zoom later in the am on Sat which isnât a good time for me. I attended meetings faithfully the first year or so when I lost the weight, but in recent years I never attended the meetings. I just did one in-person WI per month and then left. Iâve really enjoyed the zoom meetings.
Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.

KELLY - We have gold beets all the time. DH likes them better than red/purple beets because theyâre less âmessyâ LOL! When we put leftover beets in a mix, the gold ones donât make everything else purple đ. I like both, but purple beets seem to have a stronger, earthier taste which I like, and Iâm not afraid of the color đ. DH likes to roast them in the oven. He wraps each one in foil. GFY tracking in the app and OP and getting in the miles.
CAROL - l see youâre enjoying your road trip to see Fredâs family in CO - so sweet to hear about the hugs. I donât think Iâll ever take hugs for granted again. Wasnât Yellowstone also on the agenda? Yay, you, 250 mi with walking and water aerobics. Hope the back issues improve.
CONNIE - Iâve been up and down and on and off my healthy eating program, but at least Iâve never quit since 2003, and I havenât settled into the âslough of despondâ - my âdownsâ andâoffsâ are much less severe, and donât last as long as in the bad old days when I weighed over 100 lbs more. I think the 2/6 HHs day was part of the process of gradually getting over my Easter binge and its effects. This is what progress looks like for me, now. Maybe some day Iâll be more consistent.
AMY - I hope youâre OK. I miss hearing from you. Youâre in my đ

Good morning. I think if I leave early I should be able to get it back together. The day is beautiful
Cait, you do so well as your consistency. So sorry about the wisdom tooth. I had mine out at 18. I can't believe you held out without the pain meds.
I think we've temporarily "lost" our other tapatalk friends.

Good Morning Dimers!
Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, stayed in my đ zone of pts, just 3 pts above my Healthy Eating Zone.

Yesterday we walked 2.6 mi, walked along the beach path, through the local park and got our takeout lunch. We ate outside on our patio and sat outside all afternoon. I talked to an old friend, arranged to get together in early May, and talked to my Sis, who will be coming from MS to visit in 2 weeks. I havenât seen my Sis since July 2019. Today is 2 yrs since our Mom died. đđŚđđ
In the evening I remembered something another WW does when she gets the urge to eat in the evening. She says âa firm âNoâ to eating more, and thinking about how Iâd feel in the morning, and that I could eat more tomorrow.â Thinking about how Iâd feel in the morning is a good one - I feel so good when Iâve stuck with my plan, and so yucky when I havenât.
CONNIE - where are you leaving from and to? Oh, maybe youâre talking about getting in a walk? I do better when I do it early in the day and make it a routine. Otherwise it gets lost in âto-doâs,â life, etc. Re Tapatalk - Yes Iâm using the web browser. Tapatalk still gives me an error message and I canât find how to get past it. Are you having the same problem? Re pain meds - I really hated those meds after hip replacements and Iâve had another wisdom tooth out before and I figured I could manage without the meds, or take them later if it got too bad. It passed after I stopped trying to drink hot coffee and used the cold pack on my jaw.
Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.

Hereâs the WW Weekly technique article âHow to make a healthy habit stick!â www.weightwatchers.com/us/m/cms/article/make-your-habits-stickBetter habits don't happen overnight, but you can make a healthy change in a week! Here's how: 1. Brainstorm Say you want to commit to eating healthierâhow will you make this happen? Start by brainstorming three methods that will support this behavior. Examples can include: Tracking your meals when you sit down to eat, adding more ZeroPoint⢠ingredients to your dishes, or prepping a SmartPointsÂŽ-friendly lunch the night before. 2. Schedule and repeat Now pick one of your ideas and try to do it at least three times this week. If you're usually running a mile a minute, it might help to jot tasks like "meal prep" in your calendar with a designated time or cue. 3. Check in with yourself Yes, noting how you feel at the end of the week is part of the process! When you acknowledge your ability to make a change and note how this transition has positively impacted your life, you'll continue to build even more life-changing habits down the road

Good Morning!!
I had a very nice but busy long weekend. Eating was higher in points than usual. Meals back on track and planned of the week. Added 8 miles Thurs-Sun.
Cait: You are doing well with your HHs and the miles. I agree I always feel bad after eating poorly and so good when I stayed OP. I love different veggies, but the DH not so much. He always says I had to eat them all as a child, so now he eats what he wants. I do slip some things in to soups, stews and casseroles.
Connie: Hope you are back up and moving again.
Waving to all!! Happy Walking!!

Good morning. Still not off my dining room chair but here to motivate.
Cait: Great your staying with your 6 main HH's. It sounds like a LOVELY day yesterday. So glad your sis is coming out. (((hugs))) on your mom's transition day. Your comment made me realize that my parents have been gone almost 3 years. It doesn't feel like that long ago. Yes, I was referring to walking. This huge project has me sitting. Hubby can't walk hills so I walk alone. We get in the hot tub in the AM and PM and chat so trying to figure out walking around that hasn't fit into my plan well yet. I just use my web browser on my laptop so no problems with tapatalk. Thank you for the link.
Kelly: Cute quote of the day.
Have a good day.

MONDAY!
Packing up to leave Colorado tomorrow. We had a nice visit and were able to spend time with a lot of the family, which was nice. Weâll be able to come more frequently, now that the adults are all vaccinated âşď¸
CAITâthanks for the habits handout. Iâve about decided to go back to meetings and get up-to-speed on all the changes. Congrats on a good day the other day! You slipped a little, but you will be back at it! Oh, Yellowstone was a separate trip in February; we like to go when there are more bison than people and we can ski and experience the thermal features in the winter.
CONNIE â DH and I always walk separately. If we go to a destination to walk, we just agree to meet back at the car in 45 minutes đ. Your foot must be better!
KELLY â good job planning your meals for the week. Thatâs smart!
Saturday, Sunday, today : I walked 5.5miles and stretched twice
