Linda, I'm glad you and Bob enjoyed dinner. Between the tea and the Ovaltine, I'm not surprised you were up several times. And, yes, it counts as steps but not sure about exercise. Tea can really do that to you. I'm sipping on some right now but will cut off the supply within the next couple of hours so I don't lose sleep tonight like you did last night. I hope you get recharged today.
It seems the pond has livened up a bit this week, Kathy. I hope you'll get some new photos of the visitors there. I heard something on the Noon news about the cruise industry gearing up as early as July, so I guess DuhSantis got his way?
Chele, has your rain moved out? I think we only got about 1/4" over night and, again, had some dive north so I wondered if you got that. Are you planning a YS trip tomorrow?
How are you feeling after all those steps the last few days, Becky? I hope the cattle didn't get out again, but good that they were contained to your land when they did. Did you get rain today? We are expecting it Monday through Wednesday next week, so we may be getting your storm. I hope you're getting a nice soaker. LOL on your not even hearding an upset Scooter in the storm. You must have slept really well after those 17K steps.
It's been a busy day here, mostly getting reading to go to the herb festival tomorrow, but also a couple loads of laundry. The windshield was covered in dead bugs, so I had to clean that good so I'll be able to see in the dark tomorrow morning. I cleaned out the trunk and I think I can fit the 2 cherry trees laying flat but may need to lay down one of the back seats. I probably won't buy more than about half a dozen herb plants and a few other items, so the trees will take up the bulk of the space. I'm wearing a pair of cargo pants and plan to stash everything, including my phone, in pockets. It's a covered open air space but masks are being required (NC is still under a mask mandate). That will be a bit strange. I will be getting up in the dark and then Dale has a triathlon in North Knox on Sunday and we'll have to get up early, early for that on Sunday. I will be a zombie by Sunday afternoon.
Waving to Liz and Denise.

Thanks for the start Karen. I'm feeling fine after those steps. I have had some pain in my lower back and legs I don't know why it hurts but that was before all those steps. I do try to get in at least 12K steps a day anyway. It just takes a lot of walking out here and on the road and sometimes in the house. The cattle can't get out where we have them right now. Hopefully our neighbor who has the pasture next to ours will be able to come out and help fix fence tomorrow. We haven't even gotten any measurable rain but Bastrop has gotten 1" today so go figure. The neighbor lives in Hutto and the reason he hasn't come out this week is because it's been raining a lot in Hutto. It will rain in Hutto and Taylor and we won't get anything sometimes. We still have a chance tonight and David Yeomans just said there is 100 % chance of rain at times tomorrow and we can hold him to it. He also called it a virtual guarantee. Good luck tomorrow getting the trees. I bought a plant I had never heard of at HEB today. It's called Dusty Miller. It does look dusty and a lady who lives on our road was in there at the time and knew what it was. She said se used to grow them but this one looked hardier than the ones she had so hopeful anyway.
Linda I'm glad you and Bob enjoyed dinner last night. Ice tea does work well as a diuretic and I usually drink water until bedtime but I never have to get up more than twice at the most.

Becky, we have grown Dusty Miller just about every year at our MG demonstration garden. But it grows as an annual here and may grow as a perennial there. However, it would not have survived parts of the winter you had last year. Put it in a place that Scooter can't get to it because it can be poisonous to dogs. Fingers crossed that you don't have to call David Yeomans on a bogus forecast tomorrow.

Karen, I think the cruise news was about the CDC guidelines saying they could start back up if at least 95% of the crew and passengers are vaccinated. I haven't heard what DeSantis' response is to the vaccination requirements since he's anti vaccine passport. I saw the heron again yesterday, but today it was just turtles. I saw several swimming around in the late afternoon sun. Hope you enjoy the herb festival and have a good trip.
Chele, how are you doing today? It got up to 90 today for the second day in a row. I think summer is starting to edge out spring.
Becky, I've seen Dusty Miller plants around here. Hope it does well for you.
Linda, congrats on the last car payment!
Liz, Friday at last! Hope you have a good weekend.

Thanks for the information on the Dusty Miller plant. I have it in a pot with other flowers so I may need to get a bigger pot and transplant it.
Karen I don't even keep my petunias in the yard. Everything is planted outside of the yard. I did not know it was poisonous to dogs. I can't keep cut flowers in the house because I think they are poisonous to cats.
