Good Morning Challengers!
Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, stayed in my đź’š zone of pts.
My “KISS” HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) - Avoid salted snacks: 💚 - JGTB: 💚
2 microhabits: - “50 pushaways”: 💚 - “No seconds with snack”: 💚
Yesterday we walked 2 mi am and another .5 to get takeout dinner. DH spent most of the day assembling my new desk while I worked in the other room.
This am we’re off to get our fasting blood draw.
KELLY - GFY with the 2 mi. My week is going fairly well, just stressful trying to get things done and prep to leave. Hope yours is going well.
Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.

WEDNESDAY!
I don't know why I haven't posted since Sunday, but... here goes!
KELLY -- I'm not a fan of garage sales, but I hope yours turned out ok. Sorry you got goofed up with family, but that seems to be the way things are going these days!
AMY -- I hope you can stick to your plan, since you seem to like it!
CAIT -- You seem to be getting back on track after your down day. I hope your tests come back ok, and good luck with the move up north!
I went to water aerobics Monday and today (4 miles total), and I just finished stretching.

Yesterday no walk because we went for blood draw for our annual checkups, did a few errands, came back to the house for work and finishing things before we leave Sat.
Last night I went to bed, was asleep before 11, but then woke up at 11:20 pm and didn’t get back to sleep until 1 am. I read quite a bit and finally took one of my “Formula 303” herbal relaxant tablets and that helped.
KELLY - GFY with the WATP and walk. Glad you could spend time with your son Sat and sisters Mon. Your weekend sounded very busy! Yard sales are so much work!
CAROL - GFY with your water aerobics 4 mi, stretching and the volunteer work. You’re a good role model for whenever I become willing to retire 🙄🤪
AMY - I hope you can stay with a stable healthy eating plan. I know that’s not always easy. I hope you’re still getting in some exercise too.
Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.

THURSDAY! Met a friend for coffee (outside, both vaccinated ), and it was fun! Lunch with my sister, which was nice. Gotta do it while we can! CAIT -- good luck getting ready for your move! Safe travels! KELLY -- congrats on another good day, including 3 miles! I did a 1-mile trial walk this afternoon, which was fine until the 1/2 mile point. Oh, well, it's a start. I also just finished stretching. 17/250 miles 7/75 stretching Stretching: 2018:141;2019:192; 2020:182 2021: Jan.15; February:13; March 16; April: 17; May: 7/31

Yesterday we walked 2.9 mi to a place overlooking the beach for lunch outdoors with friends.
This am I went to the WW studio to WI because I won’t be able to get to a studio to do it in June. I’m supposed to go in June to keep my lifetime status with free etools, but they’ve closed the place up North that met in a church an hour from our place up north and closed the other studio an hour and a half from us there. Now the closest places are a 2-1/2 hour drive. So I’m hoping they’ll give me a “pass” for June, since I did this today. Anyway my weight was 147.4 lbs, up 2.1 lbs from end of April, but down 10 lbs since Feb 2020, which was the last time I did a WI at a studio. Seeing that really put my current struggles and ups and downs in perspective.
KELLY - GFY OP and 2 mi. We’ve been getting Chinese food from a place near us that DH likes but their sauces all taste too sweet and have an odd oily taste to me. I finally figured out I can just get their “Buddha’s Delight” veggie dish with tofu and brown rice and forget the sauces.
CAROL - coffee with friend and lunch with Sis! We are becoming social butterflies! Glad you tried a walk. Sorry your back is still hurting.
Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.

I went to aa clinic to get cartilage shots in my knee.. But it was for cortisone not cartilage. I go back to see a Dr. who will inject cartilage in both knees. I am eating well. Just had 2 cups of salad. I had a cup of broccoli. nd I am eating tunafish in water, I am eating 5 cans a day. I like that.

TGIFRIDAY! I had a baby-step victory on Tapatalk today: I was able to actually read posts on there! Soon, maybe I can figure out how to post a photo KELLY -- I love Chinese food, but it often causes my fingers to swell up like little sausages. A few years ago, a class of graduate students (mostly Chinese) and I went to a local Chinese restaurant at the end of the semester. I was handed the big, colorful "American" menu, while the students got a small paper menu, completely in Chinese. There were different dishes offered, and they were prepared differently. I believe most Chinese people feel American "Chinese" food is much too sweet, PLUS, I have never seen "beef tendon" on an "American" menu. No, I did not try it! CAIT -- You should definitely get a pass for not being able to weigh in in June. You've done such a great job! Have a safe trip to your northern home! AMY -- I hope the shots will help you feel better. I went to water aerobics today (2 miles), and I just finished stretching. Have a great weekend, everyone! 19/250 miles 8/75 stretching Stretching: 2018:141;2019:192; 2020:182 2021: Jan.15; February:13; March 16; April: 17; May: 8/31

Yesterday no walk. I went to WW and then to get an MRI on my R shoulder, then errands. Busy in afternoon and early evening finishing up work and prepping for travel.
Dr called us with blood tests results and my MRI result. My blood test was great, no issues. DH has a few warnings, but nothing severe. My R shoulder needs ortho followup re torn tendon and fluid in there. Arthritis is there, but that and a cyst were known before.
We left this am and will stop over tonight in Redding CA. Home tomorrow afternoon.
AMY - I hope the knee shots will help. Glad you’re enjoying your food plan.
CAROL - GFY with the water aerobics and stretching. Yay for posting via Tapatalk. I’m still having issues with it. I tried to do this post today via Tapatalk, but it won’t let me post without logging in, it won’t let me log in or allow me to reset my password to get access. So I’m still posting via web access. I can still read posts there, but nothing more. I know I posted pics last Sunday via web access, but I think I copied the code from MFP (My Fitness Pal) where I had posted the pics. MFP has an interface that’s easy to use for posting pics, and the codes must be the same on the web interface. That’s interesting about “American” Chinese food being too sweet for authentic Chinese tastes - that’s my issue with the local Chinese place in LB. The sauces all taste sweet and yucky to me. DH likes them. Maybe I should ask for the Chinese menu 🤣
Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.

I went to sleep very early last night. I I woke up very early. Very hungry. But K lost 2 pounds. I am concentrating on eating simple blueberries and oatmeal. I have salad and nonfat dressing too. I go shopping tomorrow Monday too. I am going to attend WW each Saturday. I saved my place for next Saturday. Vanessa finished her semester. So she is taking the last week of May off. The Sunday before memorial ay Russ will shop then and then again on his Thursday. I go May 28 to get an injection of cartilage from a Dr. . The physicians assistant who I saw ordered it for him to inject. At that clic they use a Physician to inject it. I could have had cortisone but I would rather have the cartilage. I will try the treadmill out for a few seconds to see if my knees are okay with it.

Good morning. Feeling proud that I'm back in the challenge with 4 miles yesterday. My hip isn't liking it but I'm hoping it will get through it. All of you sound like you're doing so good ! I decided to not restart the John Muir virtual challenge and will just continue on.
Have a great day !
