Happy Sunday,
Beautiful day today and we are lounging around visiting with DS. He arrived home early today after his nice visit with friends. They are getting older and several have kids so it was not like the old days of lots of beer and late night! He said he was back at his friend’s house by 11😃.
Pam, so sorry about your GNO friend and the dimentia. That’s so sad and it’s the worst illness. Your family crab boil sounded great. How nice that your DDs MIL gave you veggies! Thoughtful.
Ann, I’ll be thinking of you and Miss Lula today. Hugs.
Have a good day all!

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Sunday!! We have a beautiful sunny day on tap and the temp is already up to 70 (at noon).
Ann ~ Sending warm thoughts your way on this day. Savor those sweet memories!!
Judy ~ Glad you got to spend some time with your DS. Making memories??
Pam ~ So sorry about your friend. Our family has been touched by dementia and it was so sad! OTOH, congrats on your WL being consistent!!
I got up and made blueberry oatmeal for breakfast this morning. I had a batch of Bean/Veggie soup in the crock pot overnight and it filled two large containers. One is in the fridge and the other in the freezer downstairs. DH is bringing home a Subway sandwich for us to split for lunch. Tonight will be the Split Pea with Ham soup, after I do some more "doctoring". I'll let you know how it turns out. I also got out the IP and did some HB eggs. I haven't had any for a while, and we were out of eggs for a while, but now we've restocked. It will be nice to have them for this week. I felt like I spent most of the morning in the kitchen putting food away and washing up.
DH brought me two adorable little pots of yellow flowers for the patio and we found the right size dishes for them in the garage, so this morning I watered them and fed them with Miracle-Grow.
I have done more laundry including washing DH's work tennies and putting them outside in the sun to dry. I have changed the bed and remade it, and the sheets are in the washer now. I got all my stretching done (second day in a row) and as soon as I switch laundry, I will be headed out for a walk.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Happy Sunday all!
I am having a lazy day today. Other than Mass this morning, I have done nothing. It has been raining most of the day, so I haven't gone for a walk, though I may do that if it stops.
I have some required training to do for Senior Medicare Patrol and have just spent a frustrating hour trying to connect on either my Chromebook or iPad, without success. It keeps telling me that if the training module doesn't start, it's because of an ad blocker. I have removed my ad blocker and another app that resembled one, rebooted twice and still can't get it going. I will call my supervisor tomorrow and see if she has any ideas. I had hoped to knock out a good bit of it this afternoon, but oh well!
Breakfast this morning was fruit and yogurt. Lunch was a tuna salad sandwich on Dave's. I used some of the fresh celery we received from DD1's DMIL and we had some of the fresh raw carrots on the side. Dinner will be stuffed chicken thighs, Hot Crash Potatoes with fresh beets and asparagus as sides. We have two small slices of angel food cake left, so I will cook a few strawberries with stevia and spoon over the cake and top with lite cool whip for our dessert. I thought all the beer and salty food yesterday would have the scale way up today, but only .4! I guess I drank enough water.
Ann - Thinking of you and your sad two months of loss. Sending a virtual hug!
Sue - You have been busy and productive today! Do you find that after a few stretching sessions, your body almost craves it? I do and I guess that's one reason I like my yoga class so much.
Judy- I know you are enjoying having DS all to yourselves. Even though we love the grandchildren and inlaws, it is sweet to spend time alone with our children.
I'm going to give up on the training and read for a bit and maybe take a leisurely stroll later.

Hi again,
We just finished burgers for dinner. DS left about 2 after lunch. He really wanted Korean BBQ and sushi and wanted to bring DDIL several gluten free dishes that she loves and has every time she visits here. I had a shrimp and veggie dish and ate half. DH had Birim Bap garlic shrimp. We had some crab Rangoon, too. I’ll be chugging water tomorrow for sure. Pam, you are so right - it was especially nice to have DS here alone. It’s rare as a little bittersweet when we think about how clearly his life and home are in NJ. That’s a good thing but tugs at our heartstrings. Our”baby” is now having his own babies. Sometimes it really hits us. It’s how it should be but still a little sad.
Sue, you were the energizer bunny today! I love reading your menus and healthy selections. I aspire to be as organized as you. 😀
Ann, hope the day went ok. We love and cherish all our pets and miss them forever.
Pam, sorry about you internet connectivity issues. Frustrating! I’m glad the knee scooter is working well for DH. I’m starting a new book called The Silent Patient. Supposed to be a page turner.
Have a good night all!

As this day slowly comes to an end ..... looking back, we had a fabulous one. We ate lunch on the patio (shared a steak & cheese Subway sandwich) and chatted. Then I went to Meijer to pick up a Rx and a couple toiletry items while DH went to Kroger for our fruits/vegetables.
I successfully doctored the split pea soup!! Watering it down did the trick (I had already added 2 Tbsp of lemon juice the other day). We enjoyed a cup of it each for supper on the front porch along with some of DH's leftover pulled pork from Friday night dinner on Sandwich Thins.
DH brought home a new bag of Miracle Grow Potting Soil and we repotted our two yellow pots of flowers into larger pots and put them on the patio. DH brought out the hummingbird feeder, and after supper he mixed the nectar and hung it. He is really hoping to coax some hummingbirds. He really enjoyed the MANY hummingbirds that frequented DH's VBF's cabin in past summers when they went Up North.
We are showered and jammied and in our chairs for the evening. I am looking forward to tomorrow!!
