Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Monday!! I am dressed and ready for school. I woke early, which was a treat! I emptied the dishwasher and started my breakfast of yogurt & berries w/F1 on top. I had time to play some games and do some odds 'n ends before DH got up and we ate breakfast together.
Ann ~ Good luck on the Zoom today! I know you'll ace it! I just hope you don't let it stress you out unduly.
I will be stopping back at home after school before going to my 4 p.m. car maintenance appointment at the dealership (which is only 5 minutes away). It was great to sleep with the bedroom window open last night. It is a bit cooler today, so the window is closed. Also it is raining. At least I got all my stretches done which is a check in the win column!
BBL. Make a great day!!

Hey all,
Ann, I agree with Sue, don't let the doggie "police" stress you out. Just be you and you'll wow them. I still cannot believe you have to go through all this. When we bought our Cavaliers, the breeder only wanted to know our history with dogs and wanted to be sure one of us is home most of the time as they suffer terrible separation anxiety when we are gone for any long stretches. That was it. Anyhow, I know you will do GREAT!
Sue, I had the same breakfast to get back on track. I had Stonyfield Farms LF vanilla yogurt topped with raspberries. I must be the only person on the planet who does not really like Greek yogurt. I like the regular consistency and not the thick Greek varieties but in the store, I find fewer 'regular old" yogurts. I have been buying by the quart lately and like Stonyfield Farm. It's the little things....
We had an hour Zoom with DS, DDIL and Aidan last night when he got home. DDIL loved her Korean food, but unfortunately one of the dishes did not pass the Gluten test with her tester so Aidan and Adam had it. Luckily, she had her Miso soup and another dish to eat. Aidan is so easy going and sweet and funny.
Waving to Sue and back to work I go. I am going to fill three bags today as my goal since I got very little done over the weekend! I am listening to Simon and Garfunkel on my Alexa this AM. I always love them. What a poet Paul Simon is and Garfunkel has a great voice. Memories...I am getting a little nostalgic for days gone by. I think it is because we will be moving. My good pal keeps sending me little notes about our time as close neighbors here when our kids were babies and how we never talked about being older back then! Never dreamed we'd be grandmas. lol

Hi Sue and Judy. Fun keeping up with what y'all are doing. Thanks I shall try to NOT stress over the zoom. I'm sure I will LOL as it's the nature of the beast in me We did take a walk and got to chat with like-minded dog lovers so that was a plus. Lots of folks just don't the the human-animal connection and all the talking in the world isn't going to make them connect. I simply smile and turn the subject. It's much easier that way. LOL I'll add myself to the breakfast of yogurt and berries Mine was FF Greek plain with blueberries on top and a little cinnamon. Sue it's nice waking up early to do odds and ends and still enjoy breakfast with DH. Good luck with your car maintenance and kudos on the stretching. Judy this appointment is for fostering. It's part 2 in the godonlyknows parts before we are either accepted or rejected! First one was the 2 hour phone interview! We are still waiting to hear from the breeder in Barre that breeds Bostons and Boxers. Love Boxers but they are too big of a dog for what we feel we can handle. Besides, we have our heart set on a Boston..... I hear you on the nostalgic feelings that music creates. Yesterday I had Alexa play songs by the Drifters and the first one was 'Up On The Roof' and all time favorite of mine. I've often wanted to climb up on a roof LOL....... I feel much lighter in heart after talking with Debbie. She is in the process of making a stained glass of LuLa......it will take time as she does work and has a older fur baby to contend with........

Wow, a stained glass of Lula sounds wonderful! What a great friend. Glad you chatted with like minded friends.
I had a long chat with my best work friend this am. She is the only one of my true "peers" left. Everyone else has retired. lol She has a much bigger job than I do and we were talking about our futures. Fun to hash things out with someone who really understands and who is a trusted ally.
Have a good afternoon
Lunch was a mixed baby green salad with tomatoes, cukes, peppers, red onion and 2 oz of deli lean ham and a slice of sharp cheddar. I topped it with Ken's Balsamic Vinaigrette. Hope it holds me. I am watching carbs today. I'll have the Ann's special for a snack - hummus and baby carrots if I get hungry in a bit.
Dinner is going to be baked chicken with baby potatoes and a stir fry of zucchini/tomatoes and seasonings.
Keep us posted, Ann. I was visiting Facetime with my DD and her French Bulldog. They really remind me of our Boston Terriers, but much more muscular. They are built like little tanks! So cute!!

LOL Judy...there used to be a young man that would visit his parents that owned a home in our retirement community. They had a black french bulldog and his name was Tank LOL...he and LuLa used to so love romping around and chasing one another. It was quite comical to see. Your meals sound great. We are just having omelets for supper tonight. Neither one of us are really in the mood to cook. We took a second walk and that's it for us. Looks like we are going to get the rain any second. The sky is very dull and grey. The zoom interview went well and wasn't long or drawn out. The gal we had it with was very nice and funny. Put us at ease. She was from New York and Carl asked her if she read a book from an author that wrote a story about a Boston Terrier....come to found out she was the author of the book You Had Me At Woof. One of our neighbors in the park gave us that book after we had to put Luigi down. Small world. Anyway, we will be contacted once they have a Boston Terrier either male or female to foster out. Thanks for all your well wishes. I'm beat so doubt I'll get back into the cafe till tomorrow.

Good afternoon, WW Friends~
Our rain has finally stopped! I tell ya, it made me feel so sleepy today at school just sitting and reading. One of my teachers walked by and asked how my day was and I said it was fine except that on the way to school this morning the song "Rainy Days & Mondays" got stuck on my mind. She laughed and said "Great, and now you've put it in MY mind". Always nice to share, isn't it?
My split pea soup was a big hit with the friend I shared it with. She brought me the container back all washed up and with a handful of M & M's in it. I asked if she'd be interested in trying the Veggie/Bean Soup and she said "oh, yes", so I have a container ready to take with me tomorrow.
This is teacher appreciation week and today we all received T-shirts with Outstanding Educator 2021 and the school district logo on the front. There was also a couple of tables of goodies and snacks set up in the front lobby. I think tomorrow is a breakfast, but probably much earlier than I get there. But we'll see .... there may be leftovers that we can eat for lunch??
I have prepped supper which will be ham chunks topped with cheesy scalloped potato casserole (all leftovers) and a bunch of fresh asparagus ready to be roasted and a sliced apple sprinkled with cinnamon to roast. It is all on the stove, and ready to go in the oven when I get back home from the car dealership.
Ann ~ Sounds like your "interview" went well?? How long would you have a foster?? I also love Boxers. DH's VBF raised and bred boxers and at the time of his death he had four (plus a litter of puppies). The kids were able to find a great home for the eldest female and they kept the rest. Actually the eldest was fostered out to a young couple who fell in love with her and wanted to keep her. All's well that ends well (or so they say). But we have spent many hours with Boxers and think they are quite special.
Judy ~ You are not the only person who does not love Greek yogurt. I just had this conversation with our Cook at school. She cannot get used to the thickness, so wants to stick with the plain yogurt. I don't think it makes a difference (she has started WW) and whatever your taste buds like is fine. Simon and Garfunkel bring back so many fond memories for me as well. My bit of nostalgia this morning was Karen Carpenter. Never get tired of listening to her.
Pam ~ Hope everything is fine at your house. Looking forward to hearing from you.
I need to get ready to go to the car dealership. If I don't get back online, have a great evening!!

Sue I SO believe in 'sharing' LOL...nice that you could pass that song forward Also wonderful to be appreciated at teacher appreciation day. How thoughtful and what great gifts. Hope there are some leftovers for you when you get to school from the bfast. Super that your friend enjoyed the ham bean soup and I'm sure she'll also love the veggie bean soup as well. We also love boxers. Back in the day, Carl had a bull mastiff which was absolutely beautiful and such a gentle guy. Our 'office manager' and I use the term loosely is trying to put a 'size limit' on dog owners in our retirement community. She wants to know the weight of a bigger dog. Because I am NOT a member of her 'fan club' I will stick with a Boston Terrier. Some people have larger dogs and it's fine with her. I guess it all depends on how you spell your name with this one and I can't get into playing those kind of games. Way I see it is there should be ONE RULE but of course there isn't. Nuff said. I also put in to adopt a male Boston named Mac from Connecticut. He is 4 years old. I doubt they will 'consider us' due to the age but way I see it is nothing ventured, nothing gained. One of these days we'll get lucky and so will the fur baby We got a lot of walking done today and my poor feet are feeling the burn. Time to sit and relax. Sweet dreams all and again thanks for all the support! I do remember you mentioning the boxers and going to see the pups. So cute.

Good evening! Another busy day here and I am about pooped. I got laundry going this morning and then headed out on a walk. The mayor, who lives in our neighborhood and the former mayor were riding around and stopped to say hello. I told them I hoped they were going around seeing all the junk and branches that need to be picked up. The parish pays to have junk that won't fit in a garbage can, old appliances, etc. picked up twice per month. I told them some of the stuff I see on my daily walk has been there for months. The village pays for pickup of smaller branches and green stuff. Last Monday, they picked up PART of a small pile in front of the neighbor's house across the street. She must have complained because they came today and picked up the rest and then drove away, right past the pile that has been sitting in the next block for at least a month. They said they would be calling the parish and checking on the rest. By the time I got back from my walk, DH said, "The mayor called and said to tell you it's being handled." Also, on my walk, I got flagged down by a sheriff's deputy who said he was on the way to my house to give me a grand jury summons. He handed it over and I am scheduled for May 14. Gotta love a small town! After lunch and a shower, I headed to town for the funeral of a neighbor. She was a first cousin to Dee and lived most of her life across the street from my family home. Her daughter lived next door to my parents and was a housekeeper/caregiver for my dad after mama died. The services were at the funeral home and very short. I stopped at the post office to mail our taxes and then went by Walmart to pick up a few soft foods for Dee, who has an infected broken tooth and will need dental surgery to remove it. She was in so much pain, she didn't attend the funeral. She has been on antibiotics for 6 days, so I suggested she might want to see her PCP, in case the antibiotic prescribed by the dentist is not working. I took her some soup and gumbo from the freezer and brought her instant mashed potatoes, Muscle Milk and pudding. She hasn't been able to chew for over a week now. She did get a doctor's appointment for tomorrow, so will hopefully feel better soon. I know that type of infection can be very serious. By the time I got home and rebooted the laundry, it was nearly time to head back to town for yoga. DH cooked us a dinner of pork cutlets, green beans with new potatoes, corn and broccoli. It was a feast! Now I am jammified and enjoying a Blue Bunny Sweet Freedom ice cream sandwich--only 4 PP! I will read a bit and head to bed. Ann - Glad the interview went well. That office manager sounds like a pill. It will be funny if ALL your ventures work out and you are inundated with pups. Sue - How nice to have all the special stuff this week! Teachers and school staff have such an important job and seldom get paid adequately for it. Enjoy! Judy - Talking things out with and old friend sort of helps one sort things out in their own mind, don't you think? Simon and Garfunkel music is so much a part of my high school and college years! They are so talented and I was heartbroken when they split.
