This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning all.
Well, not a good night for sleeping for me, but maybe I'll get a nap later. I just thought that since I'm up and awake, I'd go ahead and get us started. We're supposed to have rain all day with thunder storms this afternoon and even. Fun times. Anyway, with the nasty weather, it looks like I'm mostly just staying inside today (hopefully with a nap...Lol).
Have a great day everyone. I'll check back in later.

Good morning. In the continuing saga of my life - my Pop fell yesterday evening. I believe he was trying to go to the bathroom, he lost his balance and ended up between the toilet and vanity. I ended up having to take him to the ER and he has broken his shoulder in 2 places. We spent several hours at the VA emergency room. He was intoxicated when he fell and half way to the ER he asked me why his shoulder hurt so bad He has to go back to the VA today to see the ortho Dr. to find out what the plan of treatment is. Last night they were talking about possible surgery. He is in a lot of pain and has been throwing up this morning. Nothing else really going on with me.

Jana - Wow! I'm so sorry to hear about your dad falling. I can think of about a zillion better ways to spend an evening, right? That must have been a scary experience for you. Let us know how everything goes. I'm keeping y'all in my thoughts and sending prayers for the best possible outcome.

Hello Everyone...today I have bridge at 1:00 and a book club meeting at a restaurant this evening. It is a beautiful day, the sun is shining and I have the windows open.
Lora - so sorry about the bad night of sleep (or non-sleep).
Jana - oh no, I wish I had some secret to tell you to get Pops to stop drinking. I guess his bone density is really bad, so if he does fall something is going to break. I sure hope surgery is not necessary. Sending good vibes for patience and a reduction of anxiety for you. BTW, how are the sessions with the therapist going?

Well dang. Our power just came back on, it was out for a little over 4 hours. During a break in the weather we got out and dropped off the payment at the water department...it's not like either of us could do any work without power or internet. Anyway, the power linemen were just pulling up to a house between us and the main road. They had a big tree that had come down and apparently that was what caused the power to go out.
Anyway, it's good to have my computer, phone and lights back on. I wonder how long it will last today? Lol It's been nothing but thunder, lightening, wind and rain all day so far.
Susie - I'm so glad you have a beautiful day and fun plans. Enjoy!!

Well we made it thru wave 1 and wave 2 of today's stormy weather with nothing more that the power loss and the loss of my wind chimes that seem to have disappeared from the back patio. Hopefully I'll find them in the yard later. Wave 3 has just started thunder, rain and gusty winds. This is the one that could be the worst, with more intense winds and hail. So fingers crossed. This wave should finish around 10pm, and then wave 4 rolls in around 1am thru 4am. Sigh...I have a feeling I won't sleep much tonight either. I'll be keeping one ear open for the weather alert warning to sound. I'll be glad once we get past this spring tornado season. We still get some rough weather in the summer, but not nearly the frequency that we get in the spring.
