Hi Pam sounds like you had another full day. Good luck with the grand jury summons. Carl served on one and enjoyed it. Me? not so much. I did regular jury duty twice. Guess I was 'blessed' LOL.
I bet Dee appreciated your bringing the soft food to her. I hope she is in less pain today. An infected tooth is the pits. Sorry to hear of your friend/neighbor's death. Sending warm hugs your way. Your supper sounds delish.
Yes Marilyn truly IS a pill. Great choice of words LOL.
I did sleep well last night and grateful.
Happy to say Carl got an email stating that we have been accepted to foster. A coordinator will be in touch with us and also a 'go go to' person should we need help or have questions along the way. There is also a website that they will hook us up with to 'talk' to other foster parents. Looking forward to learning the ropes.
I may have mentioned that the first Boston you are not allowed to adopt unless under special circumstances. If the Boston is not a 'good fit' you are asked to keep the dog until he/she can get placed again. That could take up to 2 weeks. We have no problem complying with that or any rule.
Want to thank all of you once again for the understanding, support and prayers for us during this time.
Right now no rain but sure looks like it's going to happen.
Waving and will CBL

Hi all,
Gosh, there was a lot of news to catch up on this morning from all of you.
Ann, I am so glad the interviewer for the fostering was so nice and put you at ease. I think making an instant connection about the book will really help, too! If they don't choose you, they are really losing out! Fingers and toes crossed that you hear very soon on both the fostering and the adoption. Your property manager sounds like a dope. Showing that kind of favoritism based on who kisses your you know what says a lot about her. Oh well, I do think smaller dogs are much easier on us older folks. I loved that your friend had a little "Tank" Frenchie. They are so cute, but boy are they strong. Almost too much for me. ha ha. I like my docile Cavaliers whose best attributes is that they are professional sleepers and snorers!
Sue, I do remember your VBF's boxers. I always loved Boxers, too. My dad had one growing up and he loved them. Nice family dogs. Thanks for the note about the yogurts. I tolerate the Greek ones okay but always preferred the consistency of 'regular old' yogurts. Stonyfield makes good ones. First world problems and nothing to complain about. How lucky are we all to have so many choices. We all live in abundance even if we are not in the 1%...ha ha. They have their own issues.
A painter is stopping by at 10 to take a look at the rooms to be painted and give an estimate. The rooms are chaos now with my packing and we aren't ready for him yet, but may as well find out the cost. I wish that DH was able to paint the rooms. He is such a great painter, but he is past that stage now. And I am disastrous with a paintbrush. The only place the paint seems to go is all over me and my face/glasses, etc. Not my strong suit. I lived in a house full of men growing up so never really was put to the task. 5 able bodied guys, my mom and me.
Pam, I need a nap after I read about all that you accomplish in a day. I love hearing about your small town life and it reminds me of when we lived in AZ in a small town for 10 years. The Mayor, City Manager and other town leaders all lived on our street. Our town had only 4,000 people. I was on the Economic Development Committee and my DH was head of the Planning Board. It was fun. Those days are gone for that little Arizona "burg". Now it has 70,000 people! The growth is ridiculous there. Not all for the good. I am sorry for your friend's dental issues. Hope she sees the dentist very soon. There is nothing worse and as you said, it could be very serious.
Off to get the day going, get dressed and ready. TTFN.

Meant to add that I am down 2 lbs from yesterday! I attribute it to watching those doggone carbs! Today will be a repeat and I'll be watching them going forward.

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
I have dawdled too long this morning and don't have time to write much, but wanted to poke my head in and say "good morning". We have a dreary, grey day and promises to stay that way.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Well we are happily enrolled into the fostering program. Can't WAIT to welcome a cute BT into our home hearts and lives. It's far too quiet around here LOL. Judy I know what you mean by painting...with my poor eyesight it looks like a child finger painted and there is more paint on ME than on the surface. Like your DH Carl also loved to paint. Unfortunately there are a lot of things that he had to 'give up' doing. Hope you get a good painter at a fair price. Kudos on the weight loss!!!! Awesome job I remember one of my favorite yogurts used to be lemon flavored put out by Columbo. I'm not even sure they still make that brand any longer. Now I just do the plain FF Greek and add my own stuff to it. Yes Marilyn truly IS a piece of work.... Sue it's always nice to have a dawdling kind of morning LOL. Enjoy your day,. Waving and will CBL.....

Hi! I got a big boost this morning when the scale showed me 4 lbs. below goal! I am mostly eating the same as I have the past couple months and seem to still be losing some. I don't want to lose any more, so will fit in a little more carbs and healthy fats. I had Dave's toasted with a boiled egg for breakfast. Lunch was a toasted light English muffin with ham and cheese, carrots and an apple. For dinner, DH made enchiladas with carb-smart tortillas and a corn, black bean, tomato relish over baked sweet potato topped with chopped avocado and cilantro avocado Ranch dressing. It was a hit! The sweetness of the potato blended really well with the relish and we both agreed this will go into our dinner repertoire. I had to go pick up lab orders for my thyroid re-check, so we took the opportunity to go by the bank and Walmart. Funny how it seems at any given moment we can find something we need from the store! I picked up a birthday card for DD3. We will send her money for more perennials for her flower beds. She is really getting into gardening, which makes her dad so pleased! Speaking of gardening, I went out and staked the tomatoes and pepper plants and weeded some around bean plants. I managed to get into not one, but two fire ant piles hidden in the weeds. They didn't get me too bad, because I knew to get my shoes off asap and clear them of the pests. I dusted the piles with ant poison and hopefully it did some good before it rained. We had some pretty strong thunderstorms pass through and it blew down 7 of the stakes I just put in, so will have to re-do them. It also blew down lots of pecan blossoms. Hopefully, it won't affect this year's crop too badly. We got 2.4 inches of rain in just a few hours, so the garden will be a muddy mess for a few days. I had a nice face-time chat with Madison today. We did some yoga and that was fun. Leah was busy using a coupon for iPad screen time, so I didn't get much talk from her. DD has them do chores to earn coupons which can be exchanged for 15-30 minutes of screen time, then they have to go play. It seems to work well to limit screen time. Judy - Congrats on the WL! It sounds like you have found what works for you. Hope the paint guy gives a reasonable estimate. Ann- Congrats on becoming a foster mom! I can't wait to see who shows up needing some love. Sue - I remember you and DH visiting the boxer pups frequently. My DSIS and her DH are on their 3rd boxer and they are smart friendly dogs, but quite a handful. Last night, I ended up reading everything around except my book. I need to get back to it before I forget what's going on. Sweet dreams!
