Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Joyce, hope u have a good day at work. Ruth, good luck with selling the Outback. Several people in Florida have used CarMax and were very happy with the price. That is interesting that you can sell car seats. In Connecticut it is illegal to sell car seats. They cannot be donated to thrift stores either. You will have a busy week next week, but hopefully if the weather is nice you will be able to get Mara outside for some play time. I’m sure you enjoyed your massage. I’m sure it will be nice to see Carol’s family but difficult at the same time. Hope you have good weather for travelling. Martha, sorry you have had such a crazy week. I am sorry to hear what your friend went thru, that is scary. Hope your last 2 work days for the week are better. Going out for a walk sounds like a good idea. Busy day for me. This morning I have a doctor appointment, just checkup. As soon as I get home we are heading up to the lake for the first time this season. The weather has been cool and damp so it hasn’t been good for going up there. Tonight we are going to DSs college to see a play. Due to the covid restrictions it will be outside. The play will start at 6. This is the second play that they have done outside. DS said it rained every night for the last play, at least it should be dry and cool tonight. I think Bill is working on the projects because he is anxious to move. He is getting worried about the finances when we will own both places. It is not the long term finances that he is worried about, but the period that we will own 2 houses. We will basically be paying a mortgage on the condo and since we haven’t had a mortgage payment in about 15 years it will be different. I think that is why he is trying to get things done now so that when we buy we will be almost ready to put our house on the market.

Good morning,
Almost forgot that today was trash day, I wasn’t ready. And today they decided to pick up early. I did manage to get the tote out in time.
Found the right size bins for the bathroom closet at Target. They only had 3, I need 6 so I’ll check out another store. Hopefully keeping items in the bins, not just on the shelves, will keep things looking better.
Martha - that must have been scary for your coworker. I can’t even begin to imagine having a shooting so close. I’ve been trying to get in more daily exercise, but not accomplishing that goal either. Too much with working extra hours - maybe next week.
Ruth - glad you are enjoying this year’s hockey season. It’s been awful for Sabres fans, we’re on our 6th goalie this year.
Dottie - sometimes when I think about selling and moving into an apartment I start thinking about having to pay rent. Yes, I can afford it, but do I want to? Oh well ...
Today is the monthly employee meeting, lunch is provided. I don’t know what they’re having, but I just know I don’t have to take lunch to work today.
Enjoy your day

Good late morning. Quiet morning, have accomplished very little. Slept better last night than the night before, but still very tired!
Dottie, Stan went to CarMax during my massage. They offered him about $350 less than Carvana did; so next week he’ll take care of it with Carvana. We were going to take it to older DD’s this weekend, but will take the Ascent instead. Which is the car I’d rather take anyway because it’s more comfortable.
It is legal to privately re-sell car seats in Minnesota, as long as they have not expired. Thrift stores don’t take them tho. We’ve sold multiple seats via the FB sites. DD just bought these a couple years ago but Sawyer wanted to be in a big girl booster so Heather replaced both of theirs. Took Sawyer this long to grow enough to be safe in a big girl booster. A lot of the seats we’ve re-sold have gone to grandparents who just need them for occasional use and don’t want to spend $150 to $250 for a new seat. We do because we use the seats as much as the parents when the girls were little.
We still have a mortgage payment for various reasons so paying rent won’t be a huge change for us. However, rent for a 2-3 bedroom nice sized unit may be more than our house payment; so that’s part of the issue. But we could use the profit from selling the house to pay rent and not use retirement savings. Too many moving parts.
Still working on organizing all the counted cross stitch stuff. I want to get it in a smaller bin today and get my dining room cleaned up. And then I want to get the living room straightened up before we head to older DD’s for the weekend.
Joy, we lost in OT to the Golden Knights last night; we have clinched a playoff spot; but if we had beaten them we would have moved up to 2nd place instead of 3rd in our division. We only have 4 regular season games left; 2 at home and 2 in Cathy’s St. Louis area.
Ok, Stan left for a haircut, so I’m going to go work in the dining room. Will check in later. Have a good day everyone!!!

Lunch break and (((hugs))) Work mtgs were good. First was a meet all on the team. A lot of newbies. Some are on loan for x period of time. Others, this is regular job but added duties. Second was a regular check-in with boss2. Told me of some things coming down the pipe soon. Which is helpful so I know what priorities are. Everything is a rush. Last weeks rush was due to much higher ups. While mtg1 was going on, I got on elliptical for awhile. I got paid to exercise today. I don't have camera on computer so they couldn't see me. (((hugs))) I'm glad that you are able to sell used car seats. I'd just make sure to check to see if any recalls on it. Enjoy the outside theater. That brings back some memories for me. In CA (of course!), they would put on plays, musicals, etc. There were benches to sit on. We would bring blankets, pack a dinner. Very cheap entertainment. Goodwill offering, if I remember correctly.
cooled off a lot today. Off to get me a hot drink.
(((HUGS)))
