This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning friends.
Just popping in to get us started. I slept A LOT better last night. I still had too many wake ups, but all together got over 9 hours of sleep time, so that felt pretty good.
Not much planned for today, although it looks to be a beautiful day outside. Mark and I might hike after he's finished with work this afternoon, and then hopefully again on Sat or Sun. One of those weekend days will be a Costco run, so that usually takes up a good part of the day all on it's own.
Any way, just wanted to pop in and get us started. Hoping everyone has a good day.

Hi again! We're just back from an impromptu hike. Mark decided to take a long lunch so we could take advantage of the gorgeous weather today and spend some time on the trails. It is a perfect day for that. Low to mid-60s, clear skies and a very light breeze. We got in 5 miles and it was spectacular. The bright, lush green of the vegetation, the bright blue of the sky and an occasional wispy white cloud, and as an added bonus, there were butterflies every where. It was a truly exceptional hike.  |

Hello Everyone...I noticed that I did not make it here yesterday. We had a little garage get-together with our neighborhood friends who we kept up with during covid. It was a Cinco de Mayo celebration, PLUS a celebration of our first get together last year when covid started and we could not go to the clubhouse, PLUS a celebration of our friend who just had a quintuple by-pass. Today I went to my noon exercise class. It was INSIDE and I was thrilled; we got to use weights from the gym and did not have to bring our own. We did sanitize them when we were finished. We got to use the bar and next week we will use the "step" platforms! We will only be inside on Thursdays...still outside M-W-F, but it is a start.
Lora - so glad you are OK after reading about your horrible weather. Today sounds lovely - what a nice hike.
Jana - the 2 good things I can see so far is that Pops has not been drinking (please God let this behavior continue), and that the
counseling seems to be very helpful. I also am glad that DS is coming; you need all the help you can get. One step at a time at work and you will get all caught up (if that is evern possible).
Janet - I think you are right in that you will have all the necessary work that has to be completed finished by the time your "partner" returns....sure hope you get a different one (and I mean a BETTER one) next year.
OK...believe it or not, I am off to have my "morning" coffee and it is 3:25 in the afternoon - lol!!!

Hi Everyone,
This week is Teacher Appreciation Week. We got out early this afternoon, we had a breakfast and a lunch prepared for us. The lunch was in the conference room and the kids were taken care of by the administrative staff during that time. We have off tommorow to do whatever. Our director had set up the conference room very nicely and had flowers, a bowl of chocolates and a certificate. I may post a picture later.
Lora, glad you got to go on the hike. It looks very pretty from the pictures.
Jana, sorry about your dad's shoulder. I also hope he won't fall again.
Susie, glad you got to exercise inside today. I hope that when it gets too hot tho that they will hold it inside..why I wonder why only one day tho. I am guessing keeping it cleaned and not having too many different people in there possibly.
Since I will be off I will plan to go to the gym tommorow. I had thought about going tonight originally.
My gas bill finally arrived and was processed. I was relieved. I was pretty sure I mailed it and believed it should have gotten there on the correct day. I even called them to check and they said that they hadnt received it yet. Even as of this morning I still didnt see that it had been processed. I will have to allow more time I guess next time. Have a good night!

Janet - sounds like a nice breakfast and lunch today...yippee for getting tomorrow off. The class today was a noon. The M-W-F classes are at 8:00 AM so I guess they think the temp should be OK to have class outside for the summer. Boy, it will be nice not to have to lug all of our equipment around on Thursdays though!
I ended up going to the clubhouse (outside) to play Bocce this evening. It was fun and the best I have done. The sun was in my eyes--maybe that is the secret - ha!
Headed to bed...night all
