Ann, this afternoon I watched a movie on Prime, Without Remorse, and read. I had laundry to put away but after that it was nice to be caught up.

Friday Work then a busy weekend on tap. I have a lot of cleaning to do and some cooking. Saturday evening we are having dinner with Randy's sister for her birthday celebration at her house. She wants me to make a cake and a salad to bring. Sunday I'm cooking lunch for my Mom and brother to come over after church services. I've got a Walmart curbside order to pick up after work tomorrow and have a few other things I need to do. Weather looks nice over the next few days. June, thanks for getting us going Audrey, Happy day to you also. I also had a cut/color this week. She got my highlights a little too blond. Seems like I can't ever get on the same page with the girl that does my color. Ann, you certainly were a busy bee on Thursday! Hope some of your cleaning mood rubs off on me this weekend. Good to see your spirits lifted. Bee, have a wonderful Friday.

LaDonna, sounds like a nice social weekend with family. Becky, I read an article today about Driscoll berries and how difficult it is for companies to know how many berries will be bought. Before Covid there were all of the restaurant and other orders and apparently fewer strawberries were planted because of Covid. Then people staying at home were buying and eating more berries. It becomes quite complicated.

Good morning friends. Slept well once again and woke up refreshed. Today shall be a nice relaxing day. Benjamin shall be joining us tomorrow in his forever home. Nothing makes us happier than that!
I pick up smaller packages of berries and get just 2 at a time. Within 3 days they are gone as we both have them during the day and especially at breakfast. I also get the frozen variety and enjoy those also.
Becky hope your trip to HEB is successful without being crowded.
LaDonna enjoy all your festivities over the weekend. Sounds like you'll be a busy gal. Super that you'll have nice weather.
Audrey it is a nice feeling to be all caught up.
Bee enjoy a great day. Hope you enjoyed yesterday's conversation with your friend.
Waving and shall CBL

Showing up to be accountable --- TB slid a tad. NOthing to write home about, but a slide is a slide.
Audrey, enjoy your cut and color and dinner out.
LaDonna, hope work isn't too busy. Enjoy your busy weekend.
Becky, joining you to KOKO. Hope you find all you need.
Ann, enjoy your day.
My visit with my friend yesterday was very good. We laughed, shed a few tears at some points, and just had interesting conversation.
Today is DGGD's 12th birthday. Helping her celebrate is all that is on my agenda today.
Hope y'all have a great day!

I will: track, move, eat balanced meals, stay positive, hydrate - the usual stuff
Scale is holding at 166.6 and that is fine with me. I am sticking with PURPLE for the month and will see how it goes. I had overnight oats with grated apple and carrot, ginger and cinnamon, tsp sesame seeds and 1.5 tsp coconut for breakfast then had a soup that is made with lentils, potato, spinach, bulgur dumplings and seasoned with garlic and lemon with some olive oil then had some light cheese on toast with the soup. Not sure what dinner will be but have plenty of points to spend on a meal if I am so inclined. I walked 40 minutes, did some strength training exercises and feel pretty good about the day so far. Will write a review for an upcoming blog tour and have started another book. I have decided to NOT use the L'Oreal face cream I bought because I have a feeling it is the culprit that caused my face to break out. Instead...I will use local olive oil soap and use olive oil to hydrate with.
MJ: You are lucky to have seven grandchildren! How nice to have them nearby, too!!!
ANN: I don't even care if the scale doesn't go down...not all that much anyway. Sure, I want it to, but am so much better off than I was that I will be happy here...perhaps that will also improve my chances of the scale dropping, too I wish the cleaning-mimis would hit me...my house could use a good cleaning!
JUNE: A bubble bath sounds marvelous...except I would have to use shampoo for the bubbles! Perhaps just a bath would be nice? Hmm... I hope your students get their work in early but you are wise to have set a cushion in place...just in case!
BEE: Hope your study of Daniel together will provide insight and...fun Sounds like it did! Enjoy celebrating with your DGGD
SUSI: What a pain in the patoot about payroll glitches.
LADONNA: Hooray for the scale being down! I chuckled thinking of Lucy in bed with you. My sister had a labradoodle that sneaks into their bed, too. It sounds like a lovely weekend you have planned!
BECKY: How were the burgers? I haven't had barbecue for over a year...maybe two.
AUDREY: Lucky you to have a hair appointment...hard to believe it has been over a year since my last visit tot he salon! I had to look up Driscoll berries. I remember my sister saying that with people home and cooking more and restaurants not providing as many meals those that grow produce have had to shift things around a bit.

Thanks for the start June Audrey - Enjoy your cut and color and dinner out. Glad Bob has a diagnosis and treatment plant. Ann - Glad you slept well. Sounds like the house is in top shape for Benjamin's arrival Bee - Glad you had a great time with your friend. Happy bday to your DGGD. LaDonna - Sounds like a fun, family filled weekend ahead. Enjoy your shopping Becky Cathy - Enjoy your tasty eats. Good idea to give it a month before deciding. I'm still flirting with that next decade. Not sure if the payroll issue is resolved. Won't know until the next payroll. If is randomly assigning DD or $0.00 check employees evouchers instead of paper statements. Fortunately it doesn't affect the actual numbers. It's just a nuisance thing that I can't fix because it isn't showing up on my side. My rep told me that they never trained the managers and reps on the updates in the new release and they are getting hammered by clients. She did a mass fix but we aren't sure about new and rehires going forward yet. I'm glad they now show Top Chef at 8 p.m. so I don't have to tape it. I enjoyed it cuddling on the couch with the furkids. Tomorrow morning I have a funeral mass and repast for a dear friend's mom. She actually died in January but they couldn't do the service until now. Otherwise it's just the normal weekend stuff. The tree guy is going to try to fit me in today. He has been delayed by the weather. My handyman is supposed to come tomorrow to put up the gazebo cover, replace one flood light and install another but weather may postpone that too.

Yesterday Toots & I decided that we would attempt to dig out the arborvitae root balls rather than just cut them down to grade. It took a while but we got it done. And then we unloaded the carefully-curated firewood that Son#2 sent up for MissMouse and put as much of it as we could into storage tubs to keep dry. I also brought home a shirt to mend for the Mouseketeer. So we had a very productive morning and then a relaxing afternoon and evening.
Today? No idea yet. That's OK - we'll play the day as it comes. I will do some research on deer-resistant, soggy-feet plants for the MousekeHouse perennial garden. The roses MissMouse had hoped to put in that bed are prime deer salad so she'll have to content herself with her backyard roses, safely behind the fence.
Coffee... βοΈβοΈβοΈ... the fresh pot is brewing...
πππ¦ππππ¦ππππ¦ππππ¦ππ Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! πππ¦ππππ¦ππππ¦ππππ¦ππ

Cathy happy you have decided to give purple a chance for the month. Sometimes sitting back and enjoying the ride works. Susi I hope all the work planned at your home works out well. ((hugs)) for the funeral mass and I hope the payroll issues are fixed. MJ glad the coffee is brewing. Enjoy your laid back day after all the digging yesterday. I'm about ready now to hit the pavement. It was super relaxing over a second cup of coffee this morning. Just what the doctor ordered
