Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Rainy day today, good day to do some laundry before heading to work. It’s been nice working some extra hours, but I’m glad it’s not a permanent thing. Yesterday’s lunch was spaghetti Parmesan. They had a chicken Parmesan choice but I was in a mood for a lot of pasta and it didn’t disappoint. Today I only work from 12:30 to 6, no need to bring lunch to work today.
Last payment was made on my car lease. Sales guy worked with new car manager, I should be getting my new car early next week. They were able to locate an Ecosport in Luxe Yellow and are doing a trade for it. I’m going to take everything out of my current Ecosport so it’s all ready to swap. I called the red one Ruby, the yellow one will be named Lucy.
I was talking with Allie. She’s really not interested in taking her Friday shift back so I’m going to continue working every day until the end of the year. The only Friday I’ll need off is for the wedding in July. Surprisingly I still don’t mind working the extra day. It’s such a short shift and I’m done by 6, and I’m already used to the extra $$.
Coffee is calling. Enjoy your day

Good late morning. Another gal contacted me last night about the car seat and she came and picked it up this morning; so both of DD’s car seats sold!!! Nice to have them gone! And Monday Stan is going to start the actual process of getting rid of the Outback.
Working on the laundry I brought home from DS’s house. Last of it is in the dryer. Only 3 loads so not bad at all. And I think it’s all current, rather than stuff that’s been sitting around in their basement laundry room for who knows how long!
Need to go start packing shortly. Just washed my hair and giving my back a break. I made the appt. to see the hand specialist we prefer; next will come seeing someone about my lower back. 1 thing at a time!
Joy, I forgot, who is getting married in July? Nice that you can keep those Friday hours if you enjoy them. And the $$ are always nice!!!
Dottie, you guys are making great progress on getting rid of stuff. Martha, how is your spare bedroom going?
I made no progress on my dining room table so it’s just going to have to be bad while we are gone. The rest of the house isn’t too bad; although I desperately need to dust! Ugh!
Ok, need to get moving. Will check in later today from DD’s house. Have a great day all.

Joyce, I’m sure you enjoy the extra money and it’s great that the extra Friday hours won’t bother you. Nice that you can be getting your new car next week. Enjoy Lucy!
Ruth, we are accomplishing a lot with clearing out things in the house but the house needs a good cleaning and I find I can do one or the other but not keep up with both. Right now we are both working on clearing things out. Are you leaving today for Indiana? Safe travels. Hope the hand specialist can help you. My right thumb joint hurts, I’m pretty sure it is from using the computer. I have been staying off the computer more and find that the joint isn’t hurting as bad, but I think I will need to go see someone soon.
Waving and ((HUGS)) to Martha. Hope you are doing okay.
Yesterday we got a lot done in a short time at the lake. Bill had to reconnect all the sinks (we turn off the water and drain the pipes for the winter). Another good day with no leaks, even though Bill doesn’t like dealing with plumbing, he is usually successful with this project. After dinner we went to the college to see the play. It was good, but outside, and it got quite cool once the sun went down. We both had layers on but the main problem was the wind. The wind and traffic sometimes made it difficult to hear some of the dialogue but there were some really talented students in this performance. Today I am back to getting rid of paperwork, and Bill thinks there is more in the attic. He plans on checking this weekend.

Dottie, we came to our older daughter’s in LaCrosse. We are celebrating Mother’s Day and our oldest DGDs birthdays (twins) turn 28 on Monday! Since everyone is fully immunized it is safe to do and we’ll spend a lot of time outside.
Our trip to Indiana is in mid-June! We will split it up by going to older DD’s for an overnight and then she will head out with us the next morning and we’ll cut 3 hrs or so off the trip.
