Thank you for our start, June. Yesterday Rob brought me a double bouquet of flowers, Rachel visited and brought cards and Laura gave me a candle with the childrenβs pictures on it and a card. Today they will each do things with their families and I plan on a relaxing day. I did four loads of laundry yesterday and cut roses. Weather is still moderate so Iβll walk outdoors. Also, Iβll be making our breakfast of pancakes and bacon which Bob just doesnβt do. He wanted to buy frozen ones. I told him mixes were easy. Lunch and dinner will be light to balance the day. We will have grilled fish, salad and a vegetable for dinner.

Ann Could not I have been a more heartwarming transfer ofBenjamin. Can just feel through your post what a loving boy he is! Lucky pup! Love that he is already spreading joy inyiur community.
Becky I do not blame you for leaving WM. Sometimes it is just not worth the hassle. There lines, and then there are lines from here to yonder.

Bee, I am so sorry you received bad news. Ann, Benjamin appears ready to be a member of your household. Susi, how nice to catch up with a friend today. MJ, sounds like a very busy day for you and Toots. LaDonna, you have a great day planned for tomorrow. Becky, Saturday is probably the busiest day for shopping. Those items will be available another day. Bob grills year round. We have a covered patio so he does it there when it rains. I think heβs disappointed if I cook too many meals and he canβt grill.

Ann I know you are beyond happy to have Benjamin home. It sounds like he came very prepared. Enjoy playing with him.
Bee I'm sorry you received bad news.
Audrey Your flowers are beautiful. You are blessed to have such a loving family. I have been to Walmart before on Saturday's and they are never this busy. It was because it was the day before Mother's Day because very few people were buying groceries. It was mostly gifts for moms. I will get the items at HEB on Monday. We don't have a closed in area for grilling. We just have the yard.
June You are right. Both lines were from here to yonder. If they had regular cashiers it would go faster but then even if they had regular cashiers they would only have a maximum of 3 lanes open. When the went to self checkout they put in a lot more registers so 4 to 5 people can actually check themselves out at a time and they do have really helpful associates to help if you need it.
A friend may come out in the morning to vaccinate 4 calves for us. Hopefully we will have enough time to go to church and I will try to get a walk in before church because it's supposed to be in the low 90's tomorrow. Our high was 90, humid and very windy this afternoon. Other than that we will do our usual Sunday afternoon chores.

I will PERSEVERE (and do all that it takes to eventually see goal weight)
~ HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY ~
As you all know, I have been somewhat frustrated as I sit in the 160's doldrums of weight-ins. I realized I have the OLD graph weight loss from 1998/9 and the losses as they occurred day by day. So, I went back to find out how long I weighed in the 160s a LONG time ago when younger, more fit, more active, etc. It was 11 weigh-ins in a row that I was there with a longer stay at 161 than 166 (where I have most recently been) so about three months. I did not change the way I was eating back then so this decade it just may take longer for my body to deal with the 160s. Having that graph has helped me "see the light" ~ even though I *knew* I was probably dealing with a slow-down-decade.
I talked to my daughter last night and hope to talk to my son and his family tonight. Nothing exciting planned for my husband and I. We have some leftovers though the plan is to make a bulgur-cucumber-labne-garbanzo-garlic-mint lunch...we have cucumbers to use up and it sounds tasty for some reason.
JUNE: End of term is here...my daughter said she has finals yet and some papers that have not found there way in yet. She is teaching this summer, are you? I bet your daughter's work is fascinating - hop the higher degree will help. The calligraphy-card class I watched on Zoom last night was sponsored by Montblanc and they highlighted/gave some time to St. Jude's children's cancer department and said that if one mentions St. Jude's and the class we took when buying from Montblanc they will donate 10% to St. Jude's. I won't be buying but it was interesting to hear. Amazing that your husband will do the roofing!
AUDREY: It sounds like a lovely weekend with family and also with some time for yourself. The flowers sound lovely and so does getting to see family!
BECKY: Sorry you are missing your mother. Will you eat the strawberries alone or with/on something else? I was going to have some this morning then decided to wait to have them for dessert later today. I remember busy holiday shopping...NOT fun! How often do cows need to be vaccinated/treated
ANN: How marvelous that Benjamin is there and a love. I am sure you will enjoy him as much as he enjoys you two! It must have been SO hard for the family to let him go...even though it was best for all of them.
LADONNA: Do people work on the church grounds regularly?Your weekend activities sound like a LOT of fun!
MJ: Cuttings that grow are so much cheaper than the ones bought ; ) My daughter has a number of plant eaters from insects to mammals in her yard! What a BUSY time you had!
SUSI: I love the photos and videos of your animals. Lily looks SO content in her new family!
BEE: (((HUGS))) I am sorry for your sad news and the way you are feeling.
Okay...think I am caught up! Hope you all have a MARVELOUS Sunday!

Good morning friends. Slept well and grateful. Woke up early as our 'son' wanted out of bed It's so wonderful having another Boston and listening to the pitter patter of paws He is adjusting very well. Yesterday we took him for two hood walks to meet people and today we will continue, He put a smile on a lot of faces. Cathy yes it was heartbreaking for that family that had to give Benjamin up. All were crying. I especially felt sad for the daughter that was with Benjamin for 6 years. You are wise to let your body adjust to the new decade. KOKO and I know you'll see that number decrease. Becky I hope that the cows get vaccinated today. Also that you get your walking in before the heat arrives. It's hard to be 'out there' when it's humid. Audrey Carl also grills year round. Even in the snow. We have a smaller grille in the screen room and one under the carport. He also has two smokers in both places. He's in the process of parting with the larger one as we really don't use it that often. Miracle of miracles So happy your received such thoughtful gifts. It's nice to be loved and remembered June thanks for the start. Yes we are all very lucky to have found one another. As I type I can hear Carl and Benjamin raising hell in the living room. I hear a squeaky toy in the distance. Bee (((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))) Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Waving MJ Susi and LaDonna. I hope I didn't miss anyone. Will CBL
Today will be a KOKO day for me. Not much on the agenda but to love my two men

Yesterday got busy. Crazy busy. GOOD, but crazy. Sooo crazy. I'm still aching but the playset is moved and the refrigerator is moved and set up and...
There are plans afoot for two more cedar trees at The Plantation. Possibly today. I'm achy but I think I could push through and we could at least get the trees dropped.
Coffee... βοΈβοΈβοΈ... I need LOTS of coffee... and ibuprofen...
πππ¦ππππ¦ππππ¦ππππ¦ππ Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! πππ¦ππππ¦ππππ¦ππππ¦ππ

Good morning
Ann The sound of the "boys" playing had to be music to your ears. Becky Sending you a hug this Mother's Day. Fingers crossed that your friend can quickly vaccinate the calves. You and Kenneth are blessed with good friends. Reading about your day of high humidity and heat made me think of my Mom. She called those "dog days."
Cathy Seeing that record had to be helpful and hopeful information. Gives you that extra certainty that "this is how" your body works.
R is highly skilled. He built the highly specialized crane system for. The Megatomb over Chernobyl. Over the years we fully remodeled our kitchen, dining room, & bathroom from the studs up. The trick will be whether he can work at a reasonable pace. But a wife can only say so much.

Okeydokey . . . Am heading to my study to doublecheck the grades that I submitted. It's what dyslexic person has to do. Also checking for an overdue Honors contract.
Otherwise I am taking it easy.

MJ I hope that you and Toots get to kick back today. I agree with June...you most definitely could 'hire out' June it surely was music to my ears. R is a lot like Carl. They just don't know when to quit. I had to put my foot down at a few homes we looked at that were 'over the top' in fixer uppers! I just don't want him doing that sort of thing at this stage of the game. LOL to 'dog days' My mom called them that as well. My day is planned and tracked and I shall be hitting 'reset' tomorrow for sure. Oh well..I have a LOT to celebrate
