Credit for attending a WW virtual meeting, tracking, weighing and measuring, keeping the right food in the house, keeping up with my online support groups, and meditating. Gratitude for all of my online friends.

Credit for exercising 5/7 days. Also credit for tracking every day and staying within my points allowance for the week, and successfully using the WW tracker by making an adjustment upward to my daily points allowance, both of which resulted in weight loss this week. And credit also for dealing with some very stressful changes at work without engaging in emotional over eating.

Monday, 05/10 Do you feel there is pressure on you from outside sources to be a certain weight?

When I was very young and very skinny there was a lot of pressure to not be so skinny. When I was overweight/obese there was pressure to not be overweight/obese because of concerns for my health. Now my husband does say I could stand to gain some weight because he thinks I'm close to being too skinny. I don't think I'm too skinny. I think people have just gotten use to most people being overweight/obese now.

No pressure from outside sources - just from myself. I think people have just gotten use to most people being overweight/obese now. I definitely agree with this. Sometimes I look at old pictures of people and think that they were so skinny, but then I realize that this was the norm.

susan092907, Yes, and in old movies and TV shows everyone is skinny. I can't see myself as skinny. I've checked the old size charts and I would be a 10 or 12 on them back then.

bbbearsmom, sizes were different - now there's vanity sizing.

My goals are to attend a virtual WW meeting this week, keep tracking, weighing and measuring, keeping the right food in the house, keeping up with my online support groups (very important to me), and do my meditation. My me-time is my computer, puzzle, reading, and meditating time.

Wednesday, 05/12 For you, did you get anything positive out of the pandemic/lockdowns?

Well I'm even more of a pro on ordering online. We now order from Wal-Mart online, even more things from Amazon, and I order most of my groceries online for pickup. It has not been good for my tendency to isolate.

I've gotten better IT skills for work - it was an adjustment to start working from home using technology more than I had before - but I've learned a lot that I can apply to my personal matters too. And I lost weight and maintained a little more easily than I did the year before. Not having access to food "treats" was so helpful. And I've learned to shop more online and learned to utilize resources like instacart and supermarket & drugstore curbside pick up. Also I've enjoyed not having to commute to work and rush hour driving. Overall a lot of positives for me. Though definitely some down sides too.

susan092907, That is a lot of positives. Not having to commute must have been nice. Are you back to work in the office?
