This thread is for all of us who have been on the weight loss merry-go-round quite a few times. We have banded together to make this our FINAL time. We offer support & motivation, WEIGHT LOSS TIPS, food ideas – whatever you need to make it your FINAL time. If you start the day’s thread, please copy and paste this paragraph, with the following 2021 Goals:
Carole: 1.) Journal Daily, thoughts, feelings, ideas 2.) Track daily, Good, Bad, Ugly, HONESTLY 3.) Move every day, 10-30 minutes, as able 4.) Limit/Reduce Alcohol, All of it! 5.) Be thankful for something - every day.
Gabrielle: 1. Wellness--take steps each day to address better wellness (moving, attention to my eating, getting sleep, etc.) 2. Debt-- continue to take steps to eliminate debt (including the kids college debt that we are covering) so that I have no debt when I retire. 3. Connectedness-- each month have a plan to stay connected to those who I care about (maybe dinner once/month after COVID, Zoom, phone calls, etc.) 4. Creativity -- seek out projects that keep me using the creative side of my brain (knitting, paint parties?, etc.) 5. Journaling/Self-Awareness--find a way to journal my thoughts and to think through challenges and opportunities
Sue: 1. Get moving - plan to utilize my Cubii 3-5 times per week at least 2. Moderation - limiting junk, snacks, wine and all things I know that sabotage my success 3. Daily Gratitude - continue our November daily gratitude. 4. Start a journal - my "Life & Apples" journal will arrive later in the week. 5. Be more "present" - in life, in my journey, with family & friends, in all aspects of my world.
Jenny 1) I'm moving to a clean eating plan like more veggie dishes and less red meat 2) I pulled out my Bob Harper from the Biggest Loser's " Yoga for weight loss DVD" and do that in the evening since it's pouring down rain here. 3) Cut way back on the wine at nights, they sell those tiny little bottles that have 5oz in them and limit myself to only 1-2 per day, that can work right? 4) Track everything even if I'm in the negatives and hold myself accountable
Christine: 1. Cardio exercise daily (walk, stationary bike) 2. FOLLOW the WW Plan using Honesty. 3. Daily gratitude - Say something NICE each morning
Karen: 1. Take one step at a time and be kind to myself. 2. Move by getting my kayak on the water at least one day per week... it will be more as the weather warms. 3. Stick to my intermittent fasting schedule. 4. Try to sleep reasonably.
Shelly: 1. Be more organized at work. Never leave with stuff on my desk 2. Be there for people when they need someone to lean on 3. Stick with WW plan!!! No matter what!!!! 4. Be a better influence on those around me.

# # MOVE IT MONDAY # # I must move it today... all day... UGH To counteract yesterday!!! I knew it was going to be a blow out kind of day - but I truly had NO IDEA what we were TRULY in for!!! OY VEY!! I don't mean to sound ungrateful ~ I really was pleased to NOT be cooking, hosting, cleaning, but MAN... the food!!! We arrived to a spread of BB Coffeecake, cinnamon bread, cinnamon rolls and fruit, with coffee, tea, juices. Then we sat down to "breakfast", scrambled eggs, ham, bacon, sausage ~ Home fries, hash, and toast! THEN my sister made a comment about the lunch portion of our brunch!! Seriously... some of us took the girls to the playground, to play and ride bikes - when we got back, she had stuff heating in crock pots for "lunch"! Yup, around 4 PM she served meatloaf, mashed potatoes, turkey breast in gravy, and lasagna! Of course dinner rolls, and garlic bread too! Oh and salad... I had salad... and a small sliver of lasagna... she kept trying to get me to eat more, but OMG I was still full from breakfast! OH and in between breakfast and lunch she had 4 kinds of chips out to "snack" on! UGH! This is what we deal with, with her every single time!!! When "lunch" was over ~ Then there were desserts!! 2 cakes and a plate of GF cupcakes And.Ice.Cream.! Trust me, I know... I didn't have to eat just because it was served - but honestly... my willpower wains when food is put right in front of me! I was so frustrated with myself, for overeating!! I was also frustrated with HER, because NONE OF US Needs that much food in any given day! I am not "blaming" her for my weight problem, I know it's all on me... and like I said I am not ungrateful, but MAN The work she put into the day, and the amount of food they bought - wouldn't let any of us bring anything - and then of course wants us all to take it all home with us!! Tracy brought quite a bit home, that I will bet will get tossed, because we don't eat a lot of it on a normal day!
OK Enough feeling sorry for myself (my own doing) and sounding like I do... sorry, just needed to vent... today is all about water, tea, seltzer and salad!! I still feel 'full"! I will need to remember just because I am working from home, and it is raining (again) I need to MOVE IT throughout the day!!

Karen: I so hope your day was a nice one - I don't know how one moves forward with one DD in the hospital, and worrying about DGD, and all the while needing your own DM and dealing with her actions. Not to mention the other DD and what she's brought on for you this year.{{{{{hugs}}}}} Thinking if you all as you and James return to work today, with Emily clearly on your minds ♥
Gabrielle: Good luck organizing and decluttering! We are facing MAJOR decluttering/purging/cleaning out these next few weeks! The dumpster comes Friday!! We already have a pile of stuff on the trailer outside - been waiting for the dumpster for about a year now! This is the day we start! Tracy will head up to the attic, and get started on her side! Yes, she has a whole SIDE of the attic, that is all her stuff from when she moved back home. WE have decided that most of her stuff will GO this time. IF she gets an apartment or a house ~ She will most likely (finally) want new things. She has pretty much only ever had hand-me-downs, from her college apartments right up until she moved home. She won't trash everything, but she will no longer keep odd ball dishes, glassware, pots and pans, that were OLD when she got them! NO MORE HOARDING! LOL It is also time to get rid of the baby stuff. Heck the crib we used for the girls is the one I used to sleep in (not safe any more) but we used it anyway! This time - it gets tossed! Some stuff is still good, just not used - we'll see if there is a place to donate stuff, but if not, it goes in the dumpster!
My clothes will be gone too. If I haven't worn them the past 2-5-15 summers, I do not need them any longer! DONE! Again, I will donate if I can... but if places are not accepting donations, then dumpster they go! I can't hold onto things until donation places open up again!
LOL Clearly I do NOT have any suggestions or helpful hints to getting organized ~ Sorry ♥
No playground Saturday, but we got there yesterday. I didn't walk, as we took the bikes in the truck, but I DID walk down to my sisters and back home again! I did some walking around when we got to the playground ~ Hit over 6k steps, so that's a good day of moving for me!
Well thank you, but I am not so sure about my training "skills", I do NOT like training people! I think the new gals will be fine, in time.
Well I can admit to no tracking yesterday! OY VEY, no way I can even begin to think about it!!I was pretty overwhelmed with what she had done, and I think from the get-go I knew it was a losing battle for myself! However - TODAY WE TRACK! You and I... GOT IT??
WOO HOO How awesome that Tyler & Kate hosted yesterday for you and your DM ♥ I LOVE THAT! I hope Max was able to join as well.
How did you do with your planner? All set for a well organized week ahead??
Jenny: Isn't it always the way? Ya' think you have three days, and then POOF it's almost over! Sounds like a nice day for you yesterday - except mowing the lawn! That would not be fun for me! YAY to being able to see Audrey's final drama performance. Is there a theater group at the school she is going to next year?
Sue: YAY! Your DM looks great! Hoping it was a nice visit for you all, and safe travels as you make your way home today ♥
Shelly: So glad your parents made a day trip to see you all on MD! Kudos to DS Michael to hosting a dinner for you all. Glad the store is busy, but sorry you had to work. As long as you weren't stuck there all day/night, I guess it is what it is {{{{hugs}}}}

So aside from feeling so resentful of the foods and all at my sisters' house it was a nice day. The girls played nicely for the most part. I did see a few of those "Eden moments" come out ~ SO I do know they do not ONLY happen here, with me! A few times I caught my sister saying "She's only 7"... I Finally said, but that excuse can only go so far! Jaclyn agreed, but she seems as frustrated with it as I do! They did have her annual check up last week, and the Dr. is not concerned. He said it's her being 7 and thinking since she is growing, that she is now a "big kid" and should be able to do big kid things, but she still has the maturity of a little girl. I just don't remember my kids EVER being this "emotional" over little things! Then again, they grew up with siblings - and school, and friends and playmates.
Anyway, all in all a good day, a couple nice gifts from the kids and time with them all ♥
Only 36 degrees outside and gloomy (again). I heard on the news yesterday that Western PA was in a frost advisory for last night ~ Christine, I am hoping it spared you??
So today - back to tracking - back to basics - drink more and move more, and back to work! So time to shower, and get dressed.
♥hugs♥

Good morning!
Move it Monday....well, normally I would have run on the TM, but I am feeling a little tweak on the inside of my knee and the coach ordered some rest --- that long run on Saturday practicing a long downhill course probably caused it. So today I took off (my first day off) and already I am missing it! It is a good way for me to clear my head and think through the day. I will survive, LOL. I had a nice MD yesterday--brunch was beautiful and both of the boys were there (it was at DS27's house) and my mom...just a nice day! DH went with me to the grocery store afterwards and then we came home. I had enough time at home to get some things done---it was a good weekend.
Carole: Wow, you are right...you sister really sounds like she overdid it with the food. Do NOT beat yourself up over that. Sheesh, unless you could physcially remove yourself from her house, that would be so hard to avoid eating! I hear you on the tracking--you already had your "mental" image of it all and probably didn't need to see it on paper (or a phone screen). I did track yesterday and it was much higher in fat than usual (it was probably the bacon---it was SO good!), but I feel like I got my tracking started. YES--you and I are BOTH tracking today! So you are home again this week? Trying to remember when you all go back? I was thinking that it was in May some time. I do have to say that the routine of going into work keeps my eating more routine as well--just works for me! Rain?? Oh, how I wish that we had some here! I know, it doesn't make it better for you, but I truly wish that we could swap weather sometimes. I am glad that Jaclyn is thinking about Eden and her behavior. The doctor might be right, but at least she is aware and keeping an eye on it. I do wonder if COVID has affected a lot of younger kids her age due to not being around their peers as much (the older kids still engage so much electronically). I wonder....anyway, at least it isn't being ignored. I do wonder how it will all look once Zoe is in school full time...things might be more apparent then. Hope that you have a good day--I am SO jealous of your dumpster!!! Hey, maybe I should get DH one for Father's Day! LOL, no, I think he would see right through that. I got the fridge organized and the area by the dining room table. I would like get a cupboard or drawer organized so that DH can put all of his running concoctions (MANY kinds of drinks, bars, etc) in there. My closet and drawers are a whole other issue, but they will be addressed! And I did get my lists of priorities done for Mon-Fri and it ALWAYS makes me feel better! Thanks for asking!

Sue: What a great photo of you, your mom, and Jim! Your mom looks good too! So glad that you got this trip in (and for vaccines!). Safe travels to you!
Shelly: It sounds like you had some nice family time yesterday---and a night off from cooking dinner. What a nice treat! So glad that you could spend some time with your parents as well. As much as I wish you had the whole day off, I know that this extra time was much appreciated by you. Hope that you have a good day!
Jenny: Oh, being the "laughing audience" for Audrey's performance sounds so fun! Hey, we have all had 3-day weekends like that where we wonder where the time went---oh well! Sounds like you had some good times! I know that you are on countdown with graduation, etc.....these are good days
Hello to all who follow. I need to leave a little early to get diesel on my way to work---we meant to do it yesterday and forgot. Hope that you all have a wonderful day and find the time to move when you can! Especially since I didn't get my TM time, I am going to hope that my knee continues to feel a bit better and work in some walks during the day....
