I'm IN.
ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅π
Yesterday was even crazier-busy than Saturday - but the "two more" cedar trees at The Plantation were downed before the next round of rain started.
It was not a "traditional" Mother's Day but it sure was a lot of fun (and included lots of grandHugs, too).
Let's see what happens on another gray NJ Monday.
Coffee... βοΈβοΈβοΈ... here's to US... <mug raised high!>...
πππ¦ππππ¦ππππ¦ππππ¦ππ Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! πππ¦ππππ¦ππππ¦ππππ¦ππ
Lurkers, readers, friends, this is an accountability thread to help keep your head in the game. Everyone is welcome here, feel free on jump on in and join us. It can be a simple "I'm in" or as chatty as you want. If you are looking for a home-base to check in, you've found it.
The avatar is the two cedar trees, after we'd lugged away most of the branches. The first one went down easy, the second not so.

diva49, you are a real dynamo and go getter! I get tired just reading your posts. I called my mom yesterday and had some special tea sent to her. We did not go up because she is sleeping 21 hours a day and has no energy for visitors or to go out. We are in the last two weeks of school. I'm ready for it to be done. Of course I have a list of classes I want to take, materials I want to get ready for next year, ways to rearrange the room, etc. But first we are taking a week and going to Colonial Williamsburg and a cabin in WV. Stay safe and healthy everyone

I'm IN. diva49, I vote for a day of rest for you after your weekend activities. hpeterson1951, I can't believe school is almost finished. You deserve a rest too. Have you enjoyed your new boss this year? I know it was a change for you. Next year should be easier. I'm going for my annual Mammogram this morning. Otherwise, nothing else on the agenda. Waving hi to all!

Morning all! Thanks for the start MJ π€ linda72 just for you Yesterday went way better than expected. My aunt was supposed to get in at 6 but with all the storms going on her flight was delayed until 7:30. I walked in first at 8:30PM because I didn't want her scared and she just started talking away, then she turns to say hi to the kids and stops when she sees my aunt and just stares at her, she just put her hands on her face and didn't say a word. (She's Irish so this is huge. π€£) Then the crying started. Luckily she is staying for the week so this will be good for my mom to have someone her age to go running around with and get out of the house. Today is mom's 82nd birthday π₯³ and I know how lucky I am to still have her with me. π I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. β€οΈ I am IN! βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ

I'm in. Looking forward to some sun and warmer weather this week, even if it is only in the 60's.lol I took flowers to the cemetery yesterday and boy, was I glad I wore my rain boots. Later, I had a great group chat with my aunt and some of my cousins. I can't wait to see them this summer! We shared a nice steak for Mother's Day dinner and the "kids" gave me an adorable dwarf spruce tree.
linda72, hope all goes well with your squish DebDoesWW , what a wonderful Mother's Day surprise for your mom! Wishing her a very Happy Birthday. Enjoy the day!

DebDoesWW, Sounds like it was a wonderful surprise for your mom. linda72, Good luck with your mammogram. I can't believe the school year is almost over either. I had a TON of changes with staff this year. I like the new principal, assistant principal and Spec. Ed. Supervisor. Yes, the are ALL new this year. There is a lot of dissent about the principal with the other teachers. But I just stay out of the drama and focus on my personal interaction with him, which is really good. I also had three new classroom staff this year. One hated it here, let everyone know she hated it and went back to her old position. That was fine with me. One is a very nice lady and I like her a lot as a person, but she just can not do the job. She's going to a different position next year. The third is also very nice and very open minded to learning about the kids. She's staying with me next year and it's a good thing. I am definitely ready for a break
