Thanks for our start June. The 90s are back but I did make myself finish cleaning the back corner of the yard yesterday. I will help Leo this morning. His transfer to the GATE program at his home school has not been finalized and I hope it goes through soon. He is afraid of his teacher when he goes for in person learning and becomes very withdrawn. His kindergarten and first grade teachers at his home school were wonderful. I am making a chicken and artichoke sheet plan type of dish for dinner and may make tabouleh and small Greek salads. I scheduled my blood work for Friday morning. A lovely couple we know who were wonderful philanthropists and art collectors passed away this spring. She died at age 92 in February and he died at age 94 in March, a month later. He was an architect by trade but collected post 1950s art and their beautiful home was very 1950s. She was in Assistance League with me and volunteered till her late 80s. The memorial service is June 6th outdoors in the sculpture garden of our art museum.

I will KOKO, stay positive...etc.
We ran errands and came home. I will probably make a stir fry for lunch or something else with vegetables and toss in the rest of the garbanzo beans that I defrosted. Nothing fancy.
I put on a shirt that I bought at a higher weight and it is now almost a tunic top. It covers my crotch in front and since it doesn't have set in sleeves is fine to wear, at least for now. Leggings are better (even if a bit baggy) than shorts as the shorts can be slipped off without unzipping. Need to go through the closet at some point in the future!
ANN: I just got chills reading that Benjamin is YOURS! How marvelous that Stephanie made that request and the rescue honored it! Will you be staying in touch and sharing photos with them from time to time?
MJ: Sounds like a productive busy Mother's Day. I am glad you enjoyed the day and were able to be with family!
BEE: How was the new spaghetti sauce recipe trial?
SUSI: Interesting about the timeline the rescue mentioned to you for Lily.
JUNE: Amazing that so many family members have been instrumental in the building of so many structures...and you know which ones they are! Hooray for getting the Medicare set up and new doctors lined up to see.
LADONNA: How fun to have a road trip to look forward to. I would LOVE to have a meal with either of my children...still remember a wonderful one with my son at a Mexican restaurant in Iowa.
BECKY: It must have been difficult to lose your father so near Christmas...it will always be a reminder of your loss. I have never heard of the collecting of dimes but loved hearing about it!

Good morning friends. I slept very well last night complete with Benjamin in bed with us. He is such a love and needs to be covered with just his nose out LOL.
June thanks for the start. Hope you get a nice relaxing bubble bath in Beautiful sunshine today and hopefully it will stay this way. I'd like for it to warm up so that we can sit in the screen room. It was far too cool for that to happen these past few days. Cathy yes, we do keep in touch with Stephanie via text and phone calls. Mostly texting. She is concerned and I can see why. It must have been extremely hard to give him up having had him since he was a pup. Your stir fry sounds delicious. Nice that the clothes are getting bigger. Becky hope you get your walking in and Walmart isn't a zoo. Ours runs hot and cold...not too bad during the week but weekends become a playground for kids. Audrey praying all goes well for Leo in the GATE program. How sad about that couple. I imagine the memorial service will be attended by many that knew and loved them. Your dinner sounds fantastic. Love chicken and artichokes. Today I shall also KOKO and get a few walks in. Don't need a thing at the market but I could use paper towels. I forgot to put that on the list yesterday when Carl went to BJ's. Always something. Wishing all a pleasant relaxing and OP day.

Becky Enjoy your morning walk. Hope that you have much better experience at WM today! Thx for reminding me that I need pick up an ink cartridge at WM. Thx for sharing the news regarding your niece by marriage. Very heartwarming!
Audrey Hope that Leo's transfer goes through soon. It is not a good situation for anyone. So sorry for the loss of your friends. Were they the ones whose home caught fire awhile ago?
Cathy Love reading about the sliding shorts and new "tunic" tops. Great visible reminders of how far you have come! Was DH successful in his mission to exchange $$ and complete other tasks?
Yes, it is rewarding and comforting to "see" structures that endure built by family members. Ha ha ha. . . I remember having to run laps with my gym class as R & the welding students built a guardrail around the hs football field. We wore these hideous, white, one-piece uniforms. ugh!

Tuesday's goals Hit the grocery stores for produce & a few sale items. A local man is appearing in a new gardening reality show, "Clipped," on Weds. On Discovery Plus He specializes in topiary.
My goal today was to sleep late-- and I did! Spending the rest of the day however I want. Lemon Pinesol may be involved.
Waving "hi" to Susi, LaDonna, Mj, and Bee.

💞🐵🙈🐵🙉🐵🙊🐵💞
Yesterday I drove MissMouse to the dermaDoc for her 10 AM appointment. She has a few skin tags and yesterday she had the one by her right eye removed; when she goes in 2 weeks for the "seat belt" ones she said that she can probably take herself. Toots & I also paid our property taxes and went to ShopRite to see what kind of bargains we could find (and we did very well!). Then the rest of the day was spent on random CinderElla/Fella tasks and a couple of YM adult volunteer phone calls. We were also watching for two FedEx deliveries that didn't arrive, and were surprised by another one that did. And we picked up our taxes from our accountant; we don't owe federal and will get a modest refund from state. And the mail carrier surprised us with our Verizon refund, for the landline services that were disconnected early last month.
This morning we'll take a drive down to the Trollbeads store in Quakerbridge Mall. The bracelet they shipped is not the item I ordered, and since it took so long on the phone before they understood this, I will go in person to make the exchange. Then tonight for 7:30 Toots will go to his first swing band rehearsal since February 2020.
Coffee... ☕️☕️☕️... on a chilly morning in May...
🐛🦋🐛🍃🐛🦋🐛🍃🐛🦋🐛🍃🐛🦋🐛 Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! 🐛🦋🐛🍃🐛🦋🐛🍃🐛🦋🐛🍃🐛🦋🐛
Russ🤹Stuff: Half of Russ' kitchen chair arrived at CC-AL yesterday. Although the FedEx tracking system said that the second box would also be delivered on 5/10, it was not. The update is that it will arrive today. Yesterday I paid some of his early-in-the-month bills and uploaded the relevant ones to JH-LTC. We also mailed a check to Lakeland Bank for deposit.

Good morning June, Becky, Audrey, Cathy, Ann, MJ and all who follow.
I ended up working a little late yesterday but nothing crazy. I'll find out later this afternoon about the payroll issues. On the surface, everything appears fine but I won't know until I do the preview. I got in a little extra play time with Lily this morning which she enjoyed. I'll be back later for personals.

Susi praying that the payroll issues are one and done. Nice that you got extra play time in with Lily. MJ sounds like you had a 'profitable' day yesterday. Nothing like getting bargains and refunds Happy MM made out well with the derma doc. Bet Toots is looking forward to the swing band rehearsal. Good luck with the bracelet exchange. Some things are best done in person. June good luck with the produce run. Nice that you got to 'sleep in' I love that feeling. Have fun with lemon pinesol My day is planned and tracked. It's one of those mornings where I felt the need to dilly dally longer over coffee and conversation. I'm now ready to get a move on!

June, who is your local man who does topiaries? I love them.
Becky, enjoy the walk and I hope Wally World isn't too crowded for you.
Audrey, why is Leo afraid of his teacher when there in person? So sad. We have a front coming through and will be back to the high 70's tomorrow.
Cathy, your lunch sounds good. I never got to the store to get the ingredients I need. It will happen when I do. Great that your older clothes are deserting you. Progress!
MJ, hope the exchange goes smoothly. Is Toots excited about the rehearsal?
Susi, hope it is a good thing when you see it.
Last night we had the termite swarm. Spent my morning sweeping them up. Worst I have seen in a couple of years.
Made some white chicken chili this morning for the freezer. Will cook some mustard greens also. I have a hankering.
Just so sad that my friend's daughter seems to be losing her cancer battle.
Hope ALL have a great day!

Bee (((hugs))) will pray for your friend's daughter losing her battle with cancer. Please keep us posted. I just came back from a walk. It's quite windy out there and I am now sneezing due to all the pollen blowing around. Going to get involved in laundry Later!

Bee, I am so sorry about your friend’s daughter. It’s so sad. Leo is afraid of his teacher because she is constantly reprimanding kids for doing the wrong ( in her opinion) things.
Ann, Bob and I laughed and laughed at the mental picture of Benjamin under the covers between you and Carl with his nose showing. He has certainly made himself at home ❤️
We have a local couple who make beautiful topiaries, Cliff Finch and his wife. Their son was in school with ours and then they moved to the mountains. Andy became an Olympic snowboarder. Susi, I hope the payroll issues are straightened out.

Leo's teacher sounds like a real pill.
Lol yes Benjamin is so very relaxed. I call him Carl's mini me as he follows him all around the house. He only follows me when Carl is at home when I go into the kitchen. He is very food driven like his mom.
We called the Vet and have an appointment on the 21st. Looking forward to getting him checked out at their brand new facility.
This wind is something else. One of our neighbors insists on leaving her light weight lawn chairs out. One just flew by into her neighbor's yard.
